Barea was given the nod over fellow backup point guard Devin Harris, although Harris ended up playing 26 minutes off the bench and finished with 20 points during an efficient shooting performance. Nelson's shoulder injury isn't believed to be serious but Harris seems like the better option moving forward, even if Barea garners the starting role.

Barea will get the starting nod at point guard Wednesday against the Pelicans.
