Wed Apr 16 201418:26Mario Chalmers won't play on Wednesday
Mario Chalmers (rest) will not play on Wednesday against the Sixers.
He's just getting some rest and had a great season in his sixth year. Chalmers had a career-high 45.4 percent from the field while adding some nice steals and triples for his fantasy owners. Expect Norris Cole and Toney Douglas to play point guard vs. a soft Philly D.

Tue Apr 1 201400:28Mario Chalmers (quad) plays 37 minutes
Mario Chalmers returned from a quad injury on Monday vs. the Raptors, playing 37 minutes for 12 points, three boards, four assists and three 3-pointers.
After missing two games, Chalmers' playing time launched beyond his season average of 29.5 minutes per game in tonight's win. Chalmers isn't exactly the type of player to carry a fantasy team with his 9.4 points per game, but he's held ninth-round value on the season and could finish strong with Dwyane Wade (hamstring) likely to see plenty of rest.

Mon Mar 31 201418:57Mario Chalmers is starting vs. Raptors
Mario Chalmers will start vs. the Raptors on Monday.
Chalmers should be busy with Toney Douglas sliding over to over to shooting guard. He's not the type of guy to put up big lines, but not having Dwyane Wade (hamstring) makes Chalmers a very viable option in standard leagues tonight. Norris Cole takes a hit.

He's missed two games with his quad bruise and should be busy tonight with Dwyane Wade (hamstring) and Ray Allen (illness) out. Chalmers logged 40 minutes on Wednesday night and has a good chance to crack double-digit points with some dimes, steals and triples.

Mon Mar 31 201411:08Mario Chalmers (quad) game-time vs. Raptors
Mario Chalmers (bruised quad) went through Monday's shootaround but he's a game-time decision vs. the Raptors.
Toney Douglas has been playing heavy minutes in Chalmers' absence, averaging 11.0 points, 0.5 threes, 7.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.0 steals in the past two games. With Ray Allen (illness) doubtful to play on Monday there should be solid minutes for Douglas regardless of Chalmers' status.

Thu Mar 27 201400:21Mario Chalmers quiet in loss to Pacers
Mario Chalmers hit just 2-of-10 shots for five points, five rebounds, two assists and a steal in Wednesday's loss to the Pacers.
He suffered some sort of hip injury that hobbled him for a short time, but he was able to play through it. He also dinged up his knee on Monday, and if Erik Spoelstra is paying attention, he could decide that it's time for Rio to get a night off. Just a hunch.

Mario Chalmers survived a scare when he briefly left Monday's game due to a knee injury, but returned to finish with 11 points on 5-of-9 shooting (including a three) with six rebounds, three assists and three steals in 31 minutes.
That's as good as it gets when a guy goes down clutching his knee and we'll let you know if anything else comes of it, but for now owners can keep him in most lineups.

Sat Mar 15 201402:21Chalmers scores 16 points with six assists
Mario Chalmers scored 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting (including two threes) with four rebounds, six assists and two steals in the Heat's 111-107 home loss to the Nuggets on Friday.
Chalmers has been struggling with his shot lately and tonight's solid showing in that department only pushed him up to 34.5 percent in his last eight games. He's still a late-round value over that span and should be owned in most formats, especially considering the Heat's favorable playoff schedule.

Sun Feb 23 201418:37Mario Chalmers plays very will sans LeBron
Mario Chalmers logged 40 minutes against the Bulls on Sunday with 12 points, one board, nine assists, two steals, one block and one 3-pointer.
It wasn't just the Dwyane Wade Show on Sunday as the Heat ran plenty of isolation and pick-and-roll plays for Chalmers. He usually has better games when Wade sits out and he was able to do just that without LeBron James (nose) in the lineup. He's holding seventh-round value this season and is worth owning in standard leagues.

Mario Chalmers (Achilles) played 28 minutes against the Sixers in his return on Friday with 10 points, three boards, five assists, two steals and two 3-pointers.

The Heat went 1-3 without him, but of course correlation doesn't mean causation. He is a sneaky low-end player to own in all standard leagues.

Fri Jan 17 201414:58Mario Chalmers says he's playing tonight
Mario Chalmers (Achilles) said he's playing against the Sixers tonight.
He went through shootaround and is technically a game-time decision. Chalmers has missed four games due to his strained Achilles and the Heat might take it easy on him. Interestingly, they went 1-3 in that span despite Norris Cole playing well on offense. Chalmers should be picked back up in most leagues.

Thu Jan 16 201416:35Mario Chalmers (Achilles) practices Thursday
Mario Chalmers (strained Achilles) practiced on Thursday and will be re-evaluated prior to Friday's game.
Miami plays back-to-back games on Friday and Saturday. Chalmers has missed four straight games but he looked good at practice and may be healthy enough to suit up for both, which would send Norris Cole back to the bench. With any luck his status will be announced after shootaround.

Wed Jan 15 201411:56Mario Chalmers out again w/ sore Achilles
Mario Chalmers will miss his fourth consecutive game on Wednesday due to a sore right Achilles.
He remains day-to-day and while Miami's caution is understandable, it's also frustrating for owners who had been relying on Chalmers' 9.3 points, 1.3 triples, 5.1 assists and 1.9 steals per game. Consider him questionable for Friday's road game in Philly.
