Carroll hurt his knee in Game 1, but it appears he's good to go moving forward, given that he was able to log 34 minutes. Still, he was obviously limited, as he wasn't able to rack up any defensive stats. Still, the Hawks can take what they can get, now being down 0-2 to the Cavaliers heading into Game 3.

An MRI on his knee following a scary injury in Game 1 revealed no structural damage for Carroll, but it's still surprising that he will start as he was seen walking gingerly after shootaround Friday. It remains to be seen how much he will play and how effective he'll be, but he'll at least give it a go and will likely again be tasked with guarding Lebron James once again.

Carroll took part in the light shootaround but is clearly still hampered by the knee injury that forced him out of Game 1. Considering how the injury looked at the time, the Hawks are happy to see Carroll on his feet, but it's possible they could be without their leading postseason scorer in Game 2 if doctors rule him out later this afternoon. More information should be available closer to the 8:30 PM ET tip.

Carroll (knee) suffered no structural damage to his left knee and is considered day-to-day, Sam Amick of USA Today Sports reports.
Carroll went down with a scary injury in the second half of Wednesday's Game 1 against the Cavaliers, as his left knee appeared to buckle while planting as he went up for a layup. Carroll was helped off the court and seen walking with crutches after the game. Despite the ugly nature of the injury, it looks as though Carroll has escaped with just a bone bruise, and it now seems likely the Hawks will have him back at some point this series. A timetable is yet to be handed down, and it's unclear whether there is a chance he could play in Game 2 on Friday.
