Sat Jun 23 201209:56Lamar Odom 'looks good' in recent workouts
USA Basketball chairman Jerry Colangelo has heard reports that Lamar Odom "looked good in recent workouts," and Odom remains a candidate for Team USA.
The team will almost certainly feature big men Chris Bosh, Kevin Love and Tyson Chandler, but there are no guarantees for Odom, Anthony Davis or even Blake Griffin -- Colangelo is evaluating 18 players for 12 roster spots. The final Olympic roster is due July 8, during the FA moratorium, so it might be tricky for current FAs to participate in workouts and scrimmages with the team.

Thu Jun 7 201209:38Lamar Odom an unlikely target for Lakers?
The Lakers are unlikely to pursue Lamar Odom if he's bought out by the Mavericks, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Odom has just $2.4 million of his contract guaranteed for the 2012-13 season, and while Dallas will explore trades for the former Sixth Man of the Year, the more likely scenario is the Mavericks simply buying him out. However, Odom can not return to the Lakers until December 11, 2012, one full year after his initial trade from Los Angeles to Dallas. A source deemed such a move "unlikely" in the report.

Wed May 30 201209:12Report: Lamar Odom wants to return to Lakers
Lamar Odom "desperately" wants to return to the Lakers, according to ESPN's Stephen A. Smith.
Smith also predicted that Kobe Bryant would demand a trade this season, so let's not all fly off the handle at once. Less than one week ago, Odom reportedly had the Knicks atop his wish list, so it's hard to take any of these reports on firm ground at this stage of the game. Additionally, Odom is not eligible to play again for the Lakers until the one-year anniversary of his trade to Dallas.

Thu May 24 201208:53Mavericks will try to trade Odom by June 29
The Mavericks will attempt to trade Lamar Odom by June 29.
Good luck with that. Despite only $2.4 million of Odom's $8.2 million 2012-13 salary being guaranteed, Mark Cuban isn't going to get much (if anything) for a player who was banned from playing by his own team. If the Mavericks can't deal him, the team will likely waive him.

Thu May 24 201200:19Report: Lamar Odom hoping to play for Knicks
Lamar Odom is reportedly hoping to play for the Knicks if the Mavericks waive him, a source tells ESPN New York.
The Knicks would be "on the top of his list," the source tells ESPN New York. "Lamar is big on being comfortable, and New York is somewhere he can be comfortable." We expect to see a ton of speculation around Odom throughout the offseason, but the Knicks wouldn't be offer him the same deal other interested teams may be able to for next year.

Mon May 7 201210:16Lamar Odom is on the trading block
The Mavericks will attempt to trade Lamar Odom prior to June 29.
If Odom is on a roster as of June 29, his team will be responsible for the full $8.2 million he's scheduled to earn in 2012-13. The more likely scenario is that the Mavs will work out a buyout with Odom, thus making him an unrestricted free agent. He'll have to earn a role with a new team after his Dallas disaster.

Mon Apr 30 201214:02Report: Lamar Odom nixes reality show
Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian have decided not to do a third season of "Khloe and Lamar," sources tell TMZ.
The reasoning here is why we're interested. Odom is reportedly pulling the plug because he wants to focus on "reviving" his NBA career. According to TMZ, the ex-Mav "feels he should focus on only one project." As long as that project is basketball, Odom figures to have an impact somewhere in the 2012-13 season.

Wed Apr 11 201217:51Report: Warriors interested in Lamar Odom
According to team sources, the Warriors would be interested in Lamar Odom next season if the Mavs put him on the trading block.
Odom would be a clear upgrade over the current Warriors SF quartet of Dorell Wright, Dominic McGuire, Richard Jefferson and Brandon Rush. Even though LO mailed it in this year, his career per game averages are a very solid 14.6 points on 46.5 percent shooting with 8.6 rebounds and 3.9 assists. With how this season unfolded, it's yet to be determined if Odom's head would be in the game playing anywhere else besides for the Lakers.

Tue Apr 10 201215:40Report: Odom, Mark Cuban had a halftime clash
Lamar Odom and Mark Cuban had an "angry exchange" during halftime of Saturday's game against the Grizzlies, sources tell ESPN.com.
Cuban reportedly came into the locker room at halftime and asked Odom if he was "in or out." Odom, who was also reportedly habitually late all season, didn't like that and didn't take his seat on the bench until after the third quarter began. Before the Mavs' next game, the two sides had parted ways. Odom, who is making $8.9 million this season, is now getting paid to sit at home for the rest of the season.

Mon Apr 9 201217:20Odom wasn't playing hard enough for Mavs
Mavericks president Donnie Nelson cited Lamar Odom's inability/unwillingness to play hard as a main reason for the split.
The Mavs just didn't know what they were going to get out Odom on a night-to-night basis. "It's like going to war with wet gunpowder," Nelson said. Odom is making $8.9 million this season and will continue to get paid even though he won't be with the team for the rest of the season.

Mon Apr 9 201210:01Lamar Odom and Mavericks mutually part ways
Lamar Odom and the Mavericks have reached an agreement that will render him inactive for the rest of the season.
And with that, the drama that was Odom's 2011-12 season ends with an ugly thud. Last seasons's Sixth Man of the Year appeared distracted ever since landing in Dallas, struggling miserably on the way to 6.6 points and 4.2 rebounds in 50 games. Instead of simply releasing him, the Mavs retain the right to trade him this offseason by allowing him to simply leave the team. Odom was ineligible to appear in the playoffs for another team anyway since the March 23 deadline had passed. He'll need to get his head on straight before any team hands him a contract or major role next season.

Sat Apr 7 201223:19Lamar Odom continues to choke for Mavs
Lamar Odom did not return to Saturday's game after logging four minutes in the first quarter.
Odom isn't injured, but his poor play is injurious to the Mavericks. The team is still trying to find a productive role for him, as his versatility could be huge in the playoffs, but he's not cooperating.

Thu Apr 5 201209:39Lamar Odom posts another lackluster line
Lamar Odom returned to action on Wednesday with five points (2-of-5 shooting), five rebounds and a steal in 19 minutes of play.
Certainly not the worst we've seen from Odom this season (which is really telling of his year), but he's simply not worth using in any fantasy format.

Wed Apr 4 201212:14Lamar Odom will return to action Wednesday
Lamar Odom (illness) went through shootaround and is expected to play on Wednesday against the Grizzlies.
Odom missed Monday's game against the Clippers due to a stomach ailment, but he's feeling well enough to return on Wednesday. He's averaging 6.9 points and 4.3 rebounds on just 35.3 percent shooting in what has really been a forgettable season.

Mon Apr 2 201219:28Odom (illness) out on Monday vs. Clippers
Lamar Odom (illness) will not play on Monday against the Clippers.
Odom has been struggling with the flu for a few days now, and his absence will free up about 20 minutes for the Mavs' frontcourt rotation.

Sun Apr 1 201213:59Lamar Odom iffy for Monday w/ illness
Lamar Odom (illness) was sent home from Sunday's practice.
Odom was forced out of Friday's game with a 102-degree fever, and we're calling him questionable vs. the Clippers on Monday. His availability does not have significant fantasy implications.

Sat Mar 31 201203:07Odom reminds owners not to be silly
Lamar Odom reminded owners to slap themselves silly when considering him as a fantasy option on Friday, as he scored two points on 1-of-5 shooting with two rebounds in 12 minutes.
In case the point wasn't made above, we're not going to entertain his fantasy prospects until he puts up three straight solid games and gets rid of the swing he installed in his bedroom.

Thu Mar 29 201222:46Odom productive again on Thursday vs. MIA
Lamar Odom scored 12 points on 4-of-6 shooting (including two threes) with four rebounds and three assists in 23 minutes off the bench on Thursday against the Heat.
This makes two decent games in a row and maybe he's ready to produce. We've been waiting all year for the light switch to go on, and really it's guesswork to figure out if this is the time. It helps a bit that the playoffs are right around the corner. Give him a look, but proceed with caution.

Wed Mar 28 201214:56Report: Kobe plans to recruit Odom, Fisher
Scott Howard-Cooper of NBA.com reports that Kobe Bryant is "planning a hard push" to bring Lamar Odom and Derek Fisher back to the Lakers this summer.
It has been a miserable season for Odom in Dallas, with career-lows in points (6.9), rebounds (4.3), assists (1.8), steals (0.4), blocks (0.4), field goal percentage (35.0) and free throw percentage (58.5), so a move back to the Lakers could be exactly what he needs. Odom averaged 14.4 points, 8.7 rebounds and 3.0 assists for the Lakers in 2010-11.

Wed Mar 28 201200:26Lamar Odom looks much better Tuesday
Lamar Odom hit 4-of-5 shots for nine points, four rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block in 23 minutes on Tuesday.
He's being encouraged to forget about the offense and just "play his game," and it appeared to work tonight. No, tonight's numbers weren't mind-blowing, but it's all about baby steps with Odom. Just keep an eye on him going forward.
