Sat Mar 1 201411:33Mason Plumlee to start in place of injured KG
Mason Plumlee will make his third start of the season on Saturday in place of Kevin Garnett (back spasms).
Plumlee averaged 6.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 2.5 blocks in his previous two starts, and his defensive upside alone makes him worth a look. Just be mindful that KG is day-to-day and could send Brooklyn's rookie back to the bench as soon as Monday.

Fri Feb 28 201401:55Mason Plumlee just misses a double-double
Mason Plumlee picked up some extra playing time as the Nets destroyed the Nuggets on Thursday, playing 21 minutes for 10 points, nine boards and three blocks.
He actually has some very impressive per-minute averages this season. In just 15.7 minutes per game, Plumlee averaged 6.3 points, 3.3 boards, 0.7 blocks and 0.7 steals on 63.1 percent from the field. He's someone to think about on the nights Kevin Garnett gets rest.

Sun Feb 23 201423:57Mason Plumlee scores six points in start
Mason Plumlee played 17 minutes in a start against the Lakers on Sunday with six points, five boards, two assists and one block.
He started for Kevin Garnett and wasn't too bad in the paint tonight. Plumlee did not play on Saturday and will likely only have value on nights which KG sits.

Sun Feb 23 201419:49Mason Plumlee, Andrei Kirilenko starting
Mason Plumlee and Andrei Kirilenko will start on Sunday night.
They'll start in place of Kevin Garnett and Shaun Livingston respectively, Plumlee did play 29 minutes in Brooklyn's last game without KG, so he's a risky, sneaky play in deep leagues.

Wed Feb 12 201423:53Mason Plumlee falls back to earth in win
Mason Plumlee, who had 22 points and 13 rebounds on Sunday, scored two points in 10 minutes on Wednesday.
Kevin Garnett and Andray Blatche played in both games, meaning that Plumlee's big line on Sunday against the Pelicans was a fluke, as tonight's game is much more typical of what he does.

Sun Feb 9 201421:11Mason Plumlee erupts for career-high 22 & 13
Mason Plumlee came off the bench to score a career-high 22 points with 13 rebounds, three steals and two blocks on Sunday, helping the Nets knock off the Pelicans.
Kevin Garnett remains on a strict minute-limit and Andray Blatche picked up a few quick fouls in Sunday's game, which allowed Plumlee to log 28 minutes. He was legitimately terrific all game, making 8-of-10 FGs and 6-of-9 FTs, but we'd like to see him do this again before recommending him as a fantasy pickup. He came in averaging 14.2 minutes over the past nine games, which simply isn't enough for value in 12-team leagues.

Sat Feb 1 201421:43Mason Plumlee blocks four shots in loss
Mason Plumlee blocked four shots against the Pacers on Saturday with six points, two boards and three steals in 19 minutes.
He picked up four quick fouls and coach Jason Kidd kept him in there. Plumlee seems like he's going to be the solution to losing Andray Blatche (hip). Although, Blatche was questionable for this road game, so it's hard to imagine Plumlee getting more than a game's worth of usable fantasy value.

Sat Jan 11 201421:41Mason Plumlee plays well in 28 minutes
Mason Plumlee played 28 minutes during his first career start on Saturday with six points, five boards, two steals and four blocks.
He did foul out in this game and was still able to match his career high in blocks. Plumlee does get his fair share of fouls and he's certainly a rookie when it comes to low-post defense. That said, fantasy owners can remember this game the next time Kevin Garnett has to sit out.

Tue Dec 31 201321:48Mason Plumlee shines in blowout loss
Mason Plumlee grabbed a career-high 13 boards against the Spurs on Tuesday to go with 15 points and two blocks on 6-of-11 shooting in a career-high 38 minutes.
He's putting up some nice per-minute numbers on the season with averages of 6.0 points, 3.1 boards, 0.6 blocks and 0.5 steals in only 16.5 minutes, so he put up some stats tonight that might translate to what his numbers could mean with more playing time. Plumlee did play 23 minutes on Saturday with Andray Blatche out and the Nets are likely looking at more garbage time on Thursday at Oklahoma City, so there are worse spot-starts to make than Plumlee on Jan 2.

Tue Dec 24 201301:16Mason Plumlee plays 21 minutes
Mason Plumlee played 21 minutes against the Pacers on Monday with seven points, six boards and three blocks.
He attempted his first 3-pointer and looks to be firmly involved in the rotation. Plumlee has some solid per-minute averages of 6.1 points, 0. 5 blocks and 0.6 steals on 68.8 percent from the field in only 16.7 minutes this season, so he should be a sneaky add in deep leagues. Owners in daily leagues might want to keep him in mind on the nights Kevin Garnett sits out, as well.

Thu Dec 12 201321:56Nets resisting Mason Plumlee for Lowry
The Nets have "resisted" trading away Mason Plumlee or their first-round pick in 2020 in a deal for Kyle Lowry, according to Yahoo! Sports.
The Raptors are interested in Bojan Bogdanovic and general manager Masai Ujiri reportedly attended a game overseas to scout the shooting guard. The Nets have the rights to Bogdanovic and he's playing well in the Turkish Euroleague, averaging 17.9 points over his nine games. Nothing is imminent, but the talks on Lowry seem to have accelerated quickly.

Sun Nov 24 201312:47Jason Kidd: Nets' playing time is 'wide open'
Following the Nets' blowout loss on Friday, Jason Kidd said, "Playing time for everyone is wide open right now."
It's difficult to read much into the statement since Brooklyn is missing four key rotation players in Deron Williams, Brook Lopez, Jason Terry and Andrei Kirilenko. All 11 of the Nets' active players logged at least 15 minutes on Friday, and guys like Toko Shengelia, Mason Plumlee and Tyshawn Taylor may have bigger roles as the team attempts to snap their losing streak on Sunday.

Sun Nov 17 201301:35Mason Plumlee looks good on Saturday
Mason Plumlee shot 7-of-10 from the field in his first extended look on Saturday with 19 points, six boards, one block and one steal in 27 minutes against the Clippers.
He had some pep in his step and exhibited some similar traits as his brother Miles. Mason had a bit of a perfect storm with Brook Lopez and Kevin Garnett out of the lineup. If KG and Lopez miss another game, Plumlee could be worth a plug-and-play.

Mon Nov 11 201313:12Mason Plumlee may join Nets' second unit?
Mason Plumlee played 16 minutes off the Nets' bench on Saturday, and he took Reggie Evans' place with the second unit during Monday's practice.
Plumlee gave the Nets a much-needed boost in Saturday's loss to the Pacers, notching six points and three rebounds in his heaviest playing time all year. With Kevin Garnett and Reggie Evans in the twilight of their careers, owners in deep leagues and keeper leagues should at least keep an eye on Plumlee.

Sat Oct 5 201309:05Mason Plumlee to play primarily in D-League
Nets GM Billy King says he expects Mason Plumlee to spend a lot his rookie season in Springfield with the Nets' D-League squad.
"I think he'll play a lot of time in the D-League," said King. The Nets have a crowded frontcourt and are looking to develop their athletic big man. As far as this year is concerned, Plumlee won't contribute to your fantasy team.

Fri Jul 5 201310:04Jason Kidd says Mason Plumlee looks great
Jason Kidd said that rookie Mason Plumlee "looked great" in his first practice.
"I thought Mason looked great," Kidd said. "He's a rookie, so we're going to be tough on him and ask a lot." Kidd added that Plumlee had a lot to learn and he brings a lot of energy. Plumlee will come of the bench in his first season and isn't on the radar in standard fantasy leagues.

Wed Jul 3 201310:06Nets officially sign rookie C Mason Plumlee
The Nets signed rookie C Mason Plumlee on Wednesday, hours before the team's first Summer League practice.
Plumlee was the No. 21 pick in the draft and he's not likely to have a fantasy impact as a rookie playing behind Brook Lopez, Kevin Garnett, Andray Blatche and Reggie Evans.
