Sat Mar 15 201423:04Carlos Boozer cools down on Saturday
Carlos Boozer had just nine points, five rebounds, four assists and a steal in Saturday's win over the Kings.
He had 18 points and seven rebounds on Thursday, but never got it going against the Kings tonight. Taj Gibson helped to pick up his slack with 19 points, nine boards, a steal and three blocks in the win. The two big men struggle to both play well on the same night and are in a timeshare, making both of them risky fantasy starts from night to night.

Thu Mar 13 201422:21Carlos Boozer scores 18 points vs. Rockets
Carlos Boozer scored just 18 points against the Rockets on Thursday with seven boards and three assists in 33 minutes.
Taj Gibson got into some foul trouble and Boozer started hot tonight. He's been very quiet and has been overshadowed by Gibson all season, so one great game isn't enough to say he's a better fantasy asset than Gibson.

Tue Mar 11 201423:38Carlos Boozer awful again in loss to Spurs
Carlos Boozer scored eight points with five rebounds, one steal and a game-high five turnovers vs. the Spurs on Tuesday.
This is the latest in a series of lousy games from the veteran, who plays defense as though the Bulls have already amnestied his contract. The Bulls have two games left this week and they play four times from March 17-23, but fantasy owners should think twice before plugging Boozer into any lineups.

Wed Feb 26 201400:26Carlos Boozer bounces back w/ 17 & 11
Carlos Boozer bounced back on Tuesday with 17 points, 11 rebounds, one steal and two blocks in a road win vs. the Hawks.
He averaged 9.0 points in the Bulls' previous two games and hasn't played more than 29 minutes since returning from his calf injury in mid-February. Taj Gibson will be a thorn in his side all season long but Boozer is still returning consistent mid-round value for eight-cat and nine-cat owners.

Sun Feb 23 201418:18Carlos Boozer still looks like a backup
Carlos Boozer scored eight points with seven boards and one steal during Sunday's 93-79 loss to the Heat.
He's having a very rough month in February. In his previous six games, Boozer averaged 12.7 points, 8.0 points, 0.7 steals and 0.3 blocks on 39.3 percent shooting Boozer also missed three games during this span and his value continues to drop. Taj Gibson is a better player to own right now.

Thu Feb 13 201422:51Carlos Boozer returns to the lineup
Carlos Boozer returned to the lineup after a three-game absence due to a calf injury, scoring 15 points with 10 boards in 28 minutes.
He looked healthy and was setting up on the left block as usual. Boozer's calf injury has been a problem for him on multiple occasions this year and he did have a slew of injuries a few years ago before staying healthy over the past two. He's not a must-start player in standards, but his output in boards and points make him worth owning.

Thu Feb 13 201418:19Carlos Boozer (calf) starts Thursday vs. Nets
Carlos Boozer (calf) will be in the Bulls' starting lineup vs. the Nets on Thursday.
Taj Gibson will come off the bench, though he should still earn enough playing time to be in fantasy lineups. Tom Thibodeau hinted this afternoon that Boozer may have a minute-limit to avoid aggravating his strained calf before the All-Star break, but it's encouraging to see him in uniform after three consecutive DNPs.

Thu Feb 13 201412:25Carlos Boozer could play against Nets Thurs
Carlos Boozer (calf) could play against the Nets Thursday night.
Boozer was present at Thursday's shootaround and has a chance to suit up for Thursday's game according to coach Tom Thibodeau. The Bulls plan to keep Boozer in the starting lineup upon his return, so Taj Gibson will again be relegated to the bench Thursday night if Boozer is able to suit up. Gibson has been playing well as of late and should remain the better option for fantasy even if Boozer plays Thursday night.

Tue Feb 11 201418:50Carlos Boozer (calf) won't play vs. Hawks
Carlos Boozer (calf) will not play in Tuesday's game vs. the Hawks.
This isn't very surprising since he only did rehab work during shootaround. We're considering him questionable at best for Thursday, Chicago's final game before the All-Star break. Taj Gibson will continue to start alongside Joakim Noah, a role which has suited him well, and he's a must-start player while Boozer is on the sidelines.

Tue Feb 11 201411:58Carlos Boozer (calf) listed as game-time call
Carlos Boozer (calf) is a game-time decision for Tuesday's matchup with the Hawks.
Boozer's official status won't be known until roughly 7pm ET, but we're guessing he sits. The veteran didn't do much in shootaround, the All-Star break is looming, his calf injury is an aggravation and the Bulls have no incentive to rush him with backup Taj Gibson playing at a borderline All-Star level. Gibson is averaging 18.6 points, 9.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.9 blocks on 47.3 percent shooting as a starter this season.

Sat Feb 8 201413:54Carlos Boozer (calf) limited at Sat. practice
Carlos Boozer (strained calf) will be limited during Saturday's practice and he's listed as day-to-day.
The Bulls face the Lakers in a matinee game on Sunday, tipping off at 3:30pm, so owners will have to check back in the early afternoon to learn his status. He recently aggravated an existing calf injury and fantasy owners should make contingency plans in case he's forced to miss a second straight game -- if that's the case, Taj Gibson should have another nice game vs. the Lakers' frontcourt.

Fri Feb 7 201409:06Carlos Boozer's calf injury is an aggravation
The calf injury Carlos Boozer sustained prior to Thursday's loss at Golden State is an aggravation of an existing injury.
Boozer's left calf has been bothering him for several weeks now, causing him to miss a fistful of practices and games. He aggravated it while warming up in the locker room Thursday night and then watched Taj Gibson predictably post a 26/13/4 line in 46 minutes. When asked how long Boozer will be out, coach Tom Thibodeau said, "I don't know. And I don't want to jump to any [conclusions] but it's the same calf that was bothering him from before." Nagging soft-tissue injuries typically only heal with rest. We'd consider Boozer very questionable for Sunday's game against the Lakers.

Fri Feb 7 201401:48Carlos Boozer (calf) hurt after warmups
Coach Tom Thibodeau said Carlos Boozer (calf) hurt himself jumping in the locker room after warmups and just before Thursday night's tip.
Chalk this one up to one of the weirdest injuries of the season and it comes to a guy who was already questioning his coach for not playing him in the fourth quarter as much as he wanted. There is no word on the severity of his strained calf, but considering he hurt himself in the locker room it's likely a day-to-day issue. Regardless, Taj Gibson should not be on any waiver wires.

Thu Feb 6 201422:50Carlos Boozer is a late scratch on Thursday
Carlos Boozer was a late scratch against the Warriors due to a strained left calf.
Taj Gibson is starting and this news comes out of nowhere. Boozer is in the spotlight for making some comments about the Bulls, so the speculation will certainly follow.

Wed Feb 5 201400:26Carlos Boozer bounces back w/ 19 & 12
Carlos Boozer bounced back on Tuesday with 19 points, 12 rebounds, a steal and a block on 9-of-21 shooting in 32 minutes.
He struggled on Monday, hitting 4-of-15 shots with eight points, nine rebounds and five fouls, the same day he complained about not getting enough minutes in the fourth quarter. He was also a mess on Saturday when he had four points and four boards on 2-of-8 shooting, but looked much better tonight. It appears he avoided the doghouse of Tom Thibodeau, and you have to think he'll get his shooting figured out sooner than later. He's hit just 38 percent of his shots over his last five games.

Mon Feb 3 201413:29Carlos Boozer unhappy w/ inactivity in 4Q
Carlos Boozer is not happy with coach Tom Thibodeau's tendency to bench him in the fourth quarter of competitive games.
Boozer's questionable defense is the root of the problem, but that isn't preventing the veteran PF from airing his grievances. "I think I should be out there but it's [Thibodeau's] choice," said Boozer. "He's been doing that a lot since I've been here, not putting me in the fourth quarter ... Sometimes we win, but more times than not we don't." Thibodeau isn't likely to respond well to Boozer's public complaint, and we don't anticipate him playing more than his current 4.7 minutes per game in the fourth.

Thu Jan 30 201400:55Carlos Boozer goes for 16 & 12 in win
Carlos Boozer kept his foot on the gas on Wednesday, going for 16 points, 12 rebounds and two steals on 6-of-12 shooting in a win over the banged up Spurs.
Boozer has been struggling recently, but has turned it on over his last four games averaging 17.0 points, 9.8 rebounds and 1.5 steals. The slump is over after back-to-back double-doubles, and it appears to be safe to get Boozer back in your lineup. Just don't count on getting any blocks from the big man, as he has totaled just one of them in January.

Sat Jan 25 201401:48Carlos Boozer scores 22 points in return
Carlos Boozer returned from a calf injury on Friday with 22 points, nine boards, one assist, one steal and three turnovers in 29 minutes against the Clippers.
He missed Wednesday's game against the Cavs in his third DNP of the month. Boozer has stayed very healthy for the Bulls in his previous two season, missing just three games prior to January 2014, which is interesting considering he missed a lot of games with the Jazz earlier in his career. He's not doing much outside of points and boards, so he's more of a low-end forward in standard formats.
