Bogut scored eight points on 4-of-4 shooting with four rebounds, three assists, a steal and three blocked shots in Thursday night's preseason game against the Trail Blazers.

Bogut had been held scoreless in the preseason opener Tuesday, but had much more energy Thursday. The big story surrounding Bogut is that he's lost weight and could be on the floor more this season.

Bogut (back) shed 22 pounds during the offseason, CSN Bay Area reports.

Bogut is a new man in training camp and there's no sign of the back injury that plagued him during the summer. He credits watching the documentary "Is Sugar the New Fat?" in changing his eating habits. A slimmer, more active Bogut might be less of a misfit when the Warriors go to a smaller lineup, a strategy that worked so well for them last season.

Bogut was battling through minor back issues while competing with the Australian National Team on Tuesday in their 89-79 win over the New Zealand squad, Marc Hinton of stuff.co.uz reports.

Bogut chipped in 10 points, 10 rebounds, and three blocks in the game that helped Australia clinch a spot in the 2016 Olympics. He required treatment prior to the game before arriving in New Zealand the night before the match. His body felt good enough to participate in the game, but this pain could have arisen due to his summer-long commitment to the international club. Playing only 67 games each of the past two seasons, Bogut is always a health risk and his minutes will be capped accordingly.

Bogut averaged 6.3 points, 2.7 assists, 8.1 rebounds, 0.6 steals, and 1.7 blocks in 24 minutes per game for 67 regular season games in 2014-15.

Bogut was a solid contributor for the Warriors, as he could fill many different statistical categories, and provided solid defense in the post. The 7-0 center finished as the 90th ranked player in eight-category leagues and is worth drafting in standard leagues for 2015-16. Heading into next season, expect Bogut to provide similar value as he did in 2014-15.

Bogut recorded a DNP-CD in the Warriors' Game 5 win on Sunday.

After playing three minutes in Game 4, it's a near certainty coach Steve Kerr doesn't plan on using his All-Defense Second Team center. The Warriors have won the last two games by an average of 17.0 points per game with Draymond Green at center.

Bogut didn't get a shot off, nor did he play in the second half. However, he was the perpetrator in Cavaliers' LeBron James flying head first into a camera. A Warriors 19-point win doesn't bode well for Bogut's playing time the rest of the NBA Finals.

Bogut will come off the bench for Thursday's Game 4 at Cleveland, San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Coach Steve Kerr has opted to ride a small lineup in the early going, with Andre Iguodala entering the starting five for Bogut. The Australian center has experienced a reduction in workload in each game of the Finals, including only 17 minutes Tuesday. As a result, Bogut is averaging just 3.3 points (on 44 percent shooting), 7.7 rebounds, 1.7 blocks, and 1.7 assists in 23 minutes in the series.

Bogut registered his first double-double of the postseason since Game 1 of the first round of the Pelicans against the Pelicans on Saturday, scoring 12 points (5-8 FG, 2-2FT) with 12 rebounds and one block before fouling out in just 20 minutes.

Bogut is only averaging 26 minutes per game through the playoffs as the Warriors have been able to rest him strategically and go small at times. Although averaging just 5.6 points, it's the 7.9 rebounds and 2.1 blocks which are key to Bogut's game.

Bogut posted 14 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and five blocks in 31 minutes Thursday in the Warriors' Game 2 victory over the Rockets.

Bogut labored through 16 scoreless minutes in Game 1, but looked completely recovered Thursday. He hit seven of his nine shots from the field to crack double digit points for the first time since Game 1 of the Warriors' series against the Pelicans.

Bogut doesn't need much playing time to be an effective fantasy contributor, particularly in the rebounding and blocks categories. In the last five games, he's averaged 11 rebounds and two blocks in 23 minutes per game. You can expect a similar pattern of playing time going forward -- probably some rest days as well -- now that Golden State has clinched the Pacific Division title.

Bogut scored four points (2-5 FG) with five rebounds and three assists in the return from his one-game absence due to rest Saturday in the demolition of the Knicks.

Bogut has been managed all season by Steve Kerr, and as a result will never see big minutes, putting a cap on his fantasy value. That said, his 7.4 rebounds and 1.5 blocks on 60 percent shooting over the last eight games can help some owners, despite playing just 23 minutes.
