Williams came off the bench to score 16 points (5-11 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 4-5 FT) in a season-high 30 minutes Friday against the Mavericks.
Williams saw extra minutes after DeMar DeRozan (groin) left the game in the third quarter. If DeRozan misses any time, it would be a fantasy boon for Williams, who has already seen his role increase in recent weeks.

Williams scored 22 points (6-11 FG, 4-6 3P, 6-6 FT) with three steals and two assists in 26 minutes off the bench during Wednesday's win over the Hawks.
Is anybody going to slow this guy down? Williams is now averaging 24.3 points in 25 minutes a night over his last four games, and is staking a string early claim to being in the Sixth Man of the Year discussion.

Williams scored 36 points (9-19 FG, 3-8 3P, 15-15 FT) with four rebounds and three steals in 29 minutes off the bench during Saturday's win over the Cavaliers.
After Cleveland raced out to a 24-6 lead in the first quarter, Williams came into the game and shredded the Cavs' defense to lead the Raptors' comeback. He's now scored 48 points in the last two games, and looks to be completely back to his pre-knee injury form.

Williams scored 22 points (7-14 FG, 5-7 3P, 3-3 FT) with two assists in just 19 minutes off the bench during Friday's shellacking of the Bucks.
Milwaukee left their defense at the hotel, and Williams took full advantage. He's so far matching last year's scoring pace despite playing five less minutes a night, but it would probably take an injury to Kyle Lowry or DeMar DeRozan for Williams to get enough run to have fantasy value in most leagues.

Williams scored 13 points (5-11 FG, 1-3 3P, 2-5 FT) in 16 minutes off the bench Friday.
He's now scored in double-digits in three straight games. Williams isn't providing fantasy owners with much more than points and isn't worth a roster spot in most leagues except as possible insurance against a Kyle Lowry or DeMar DeRozan injury, but the Raptors are more than happy with the instant offense he's supplying to their second unit.

Williams scored 21 points (6-9 FG, 2-3 3P, 7-7 FT) with three rebounds and three assists in 24 minutes off the bench Monday.
Kyle Lowry got the night off, so Williams was able to get some run at the point as well as his more comfortable off guard position. He looks like he's all the way back from his February 2013 knee surgery, getting to the rim with ease, and Williams should prove to be a big addition to the Raptors' bench this season.

Williams played 28 minutes off the bench Sunday in his preseason debut for the Raptors, scoring 12 points (5-13 FG, 0-2 3P, 2-4 FT) with three steals and two assists.
He started off the game slowly, scoring just one point through the first three quarters, but Williams came alive in the final frame as the Raptors' starters were mostly on the bench. He'll fill a similar role once the regular season begins, providing a spark and some instant offense off the bench, and if he's now fully recovered from the knee issues that limited him in Atlanta, he could be a big weapon for Toronto on their second unit.
Fri Jul 18 201415:55Lou Williams close to 100 percent
Lou Williams said on Friday that he's close to 100 percent.
He had ACL surgery 17 months ago and still didn't look great with the Hawks last season. The Raptors invested a ton on money on point guards this offseason and will likely throw Williams in with the second unit. He's not going to put up great numbers while the team is healthy.

Thu Jul 10 201412:28Lou Williams looking good after surgery
Lou Williamshas looked great in Vegas workouts, according to Raptors general manager Masai Ujiri.
Ujiri watched Williams worked out in Las Vegas and said he didn't notice any effects of Williams' prior knee injury or surgery from a year ago. Williams will likely comprise half of the Raptors' second unit backcourt alongside Greivis Vasquez and could serve as a decent fantasy option in deeper leagues if he's able to carve out 20-plus minutes per game for himself.

Sun Jun 29 201420:36Raptors trade John Salmons, get Lou Williams
The Hawks traded Lou Williams and Lucas Nogueira to the Raptors on Sunday in exchange for John Salmons.
Salmons' $7 million salary is only $1 million guaranteed. Williams' deal will pay him $5.5 million next season, and as usual this can be tied back to LeBron James -- by waiving Salmons the Hawks likely intend to clear enough cap space to pursue LeBron and other top free agents. A move to Toronto might be an upgrade for Williams if Kyle Lowry leaves the Raptors this summer, and it helps that he's one year further removed from ACL surgery.

Thu May 1 201422:24Lou Williams buckles under pressure late
Lou Williams had a costly turnover in the last minute of Game 6's loss to the Pacers, finishing with 16 points, one rebound, one steal and two 3-pointers.
He left his feet underneath the basket while dribbling just along the baseline and committed basketball sin, leaving his feet with no shot or no teammates open for a pass. Williams also attempted a 3-pointer in transition when the Hawks had numbers during a fast-break, so this wasn't his best game. His 25 minutes tonight were the most he's played in this series and he'll likely be back around 20 for Game 7 on Saturday.

Mon Apr 14 201422:53Williams puts up nice line but no threes
Lou Williams scored 13 points on 5-of-13 shooting (0-for-7 from deep) with five rebounds, six assists and one steal in the Hawks' 95-93 loss to the Bobcats on Monday.
Williams is a rest-risk himself for Wednesday's game, but if the Hawks continue to trot out a depleted lineup with him in it then he'll be worth a look. Jeff Teague added 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting with three treys, four rebounds, five assists and a steal in the loss.

Mon Apr 14 201414:54Lou Williams starting on Monday night
Lou Williams will start at shooting guard on Monday vs. the Bobcats.
The Hawks are resting Kyle Korver tonight and there should be some minutes available for Williams. Although, he did miss two games last week due to hamstring soreness and played only 19.7 minutes per game in the three following games, averaging 12.3 points, 2.3 assists and 1.3 triples in that span. He's a bit of a risky player to use tonight, but the upside is there.

Sat Apr 12 201422:08Lou Williams scores 23 off Hawks bench
Lou Williams hit 4-of-4 3-pointers and 7-of-9 shots for 23 points and three assists off the bench in Saturday's win over the Heat.
With Williams cooking tonight, Kyle Korver was pretty quiet, finishing with just four points and one 3-pointer. The Hawks are in the playoffs, so watch for news about guys sitting over the final few days of the season.

Wed Apr 9 201422:56Lou Williams plays 17 minutes in return
Lou Williams played 17 minutes in his return on Wednesday for nine points, one board, two assists and three fouls.
He said after the game he just needed a couple games off to rest his sore hamstring and perhaps missing Sunday and Tuesday was the plan. It doesn't sound like a serious injury, but the light load in minutes tonight isn't very encouraging for his outlook. Most fantasy owners should be able to do better even though Williams and the Hawks have a nice schedule the rest of the way.

Tue Apr 8 201411:51Lou Williams ruled out against Pistons
Lou Williams will miss Tuesday's game against the Pistons with a sore hamstring.
He's day-to-day, but he's now missed two straight, which is a shame because he was heating up. Kyle Korver should see a few extra minutes tonight.

Mon Apr 7 201411:22Lou Williams (hamstring) iffy for Tuesday
Lou Williams (sore left hamstring) remains questionable for Tuesday's game.
The Hawks don't practice on Monday so there will be no medical updates coming until shootaround on Tuesday. Hamstring injuries can be touchy so most fantasy owners should plan for the worst while hoping for the best -- if Williams does sit out again, his minutes will be dispersed among Kyle Korver, Shelvin Mack and Cartier Martin.

Mon Mar 31 201423:23Lou Williams scores 22 points vs. Sixers
Lou Williams played great against his former team on Monday during a win over the Sixers, scoring 22 points with five boards, five assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 25 minutes.
It was one of his best games of the year and it came with the expectations very low. He was basically out of the rotation before Kyle Korver (back) went down and he certainly wasn't a lock to be a key part of the rotation tonight. Still, Williams is a bit of a risky player to add in most leagues because his minutes have been up and down all year.

Sat Mar 29 201422:51Lou Williams scores 12 points in 32 minutes
Lou Williams played 32 minutes off the bench against the Wizards during a 101-97 loss on Saturday, scoring 12 points with two boards, one assist, one steal and no turnovers.
He missed all four shots from deep and he continues to struggle on both ends of the floor. Kyle Korver (back) will likely come back and cut into Williams' minutes because of his lackluster play in this opportunity. He's only a very short-term add in deep leagues.

Thu Mar 27 201421:52Lou Williams finally has a good game
Lou Williams played well off the bench against the Blazers on Thursday with 16 points, four boards, four assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 30 minutes.
He was getting roasted on defense over the past month or so and his offense wasn't really coming on, so he needed a big game for his confidence. Williams was out of the rotation back when Kyle Korver was healthy, so he'd be more of a short-term guy in most cases.
