Mon Nov 15 202108:21Kevin Durant Enjoys Another 30-Point Performance
Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant led all scorers with 33 points in Sunday's 120-96 win over OKC, posting his fourth 30-point game across his last five appearances. A 9-for-17 effort from the field and a near-perfect 13-or-14 record at the foul line helped him get there this time around. Durant finished 2-for-6 from deep and picked up eight rebounds with four assists, one steal and one turnover in 34 minutes. KD admitted after the game that he's actually playing with a sore right shoulder right now, so just imagine what he could do if he would be fully healthy. The Nets will now start preparing for a mouth-watering matchup against Golden State. Durant has averaged 30.3 points per game against his former team in his career, which is his best mark against any opposition.

Sat Nov 13 202110:04Kevin Durant Continues Efficient Scoring In Win Over Pelicans
Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant recorded his sixth straight game with 28-plus points in Friday's victory over the Pelicans. Durant shot 11-for-17 from the field while draining all three three-point attempts en route to a 28-point night, chipping in eight assists and seven rebounds. The superstar forward has been putting on an efficiency clinic this season, as he's shooting a career-best 64.2 percent on two-pointers, with most of them coming from the mid-range area, where Durant is particularly lethal. He's poised for a big game Sunday against the Thunder, also a chance for revenge. They've allowed the fourth-most FanDuel points per game to small forwards.

Thu Nov 11 202100:59Kevin Durant Continues Scoring Spree Versus Orlando
In Wednesday's win over the Orlando Magic, Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant missed one of his 12 shot attempts en route to another sublime scoring performance. In 29 minutes, the former MVP scored 30 points on 11-for-12 shooting while also posting five rebounds, two assists, and two three-pointers. The current scoring leader has come out of the gates firing on all cylinders in 2021 and averages 32 points per game in November. He's an elite shooter, so the new rules haven't affected his points totals like his teammate, James Harden. Durant is a locked-in top-5 fantasy option and should be treated as such in any trade negotiations.

Mon Nov 8 202123:22Kevin Durant Matches Season-High With 38 Points
Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant delivered a strong effort despite his team's loss to the Bulls. Durant matched his season-high with 38 points on 13-for-24 shooting, making up for inefficient three-point shooting by draining all nine free throws. The star forward added four assists while committing just two turnovers in 35 minutes. Durant has benefitted from increased usage, with Kyrie Irving out and James Harden struggling at times, as he's on pace for career-best marks in points, rebounds, and field-goal percentage.

Sun Nov 7 202119:43Kevin Durant Records Fourth 30-Point Game Of The Season
Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant notched an easy 31 points on 11-for-18 shooting in Sunday's 116-103 win over Toronto, adding seven rebounds and seven assists to his line with seven turnovers in 37 minutes. He was 3-for-6 with the three-ball and nailed all six attempts at the charity stripe. Durant now boasts four 30-point efforts for the season. Scoring simply comes naturally for him and his work has been extremely efficient in recent games. Sunday marked the fourth time in the last five games Durant has shot at least 60 percent from the field. The run also included a couple of nights with 70 percent shooting. There's no way to stop him, you can only hope to slow him down, and even that mostly doesn't work out for teams.

Sat Nov 6 202107:49Kevin Durant Gets Fifth Double-Double Of The Season
Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant posted his fifth double-double of the season in Friday's win at Detroit, shooting 12-for-27 from the field en route to a game-high 27 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. He was 2-for-6 from downtown and shot 3-for-4 at the line, adding five assists to his line with one block and three turnovers in 37 minutes. KD had a bit of a rough shooting night here, but he's been very efficient throughout the season and will no doubt do better next time. The next matchup is against Toronto. The Raptors have done pretty well defensively this season, but they could still easily get cooked by Durant, who averaged a league-high 28.3 points per game.

Thu Nov 4 202107:45Kevin Durant Shoots 65 Percent From The Floor
Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant was absurdly efficient through the first seven games of the season, and it continued again on Wednesday. In a 117-108 win over Atlanta, Durant recorded 32 points on 13-for-20 shooting with seven rebounds, five assists, a steal, a block, and two three-pointers. The 33-year old is now making 59.2 percent of his shots this season and averaging 28.3 points per game, good for second in the league. It would be his highest mark since the 2013-14 season in Oklahoma City (32.0 PPG), and it's a joy for fantasy managers to see him contribute above expectations in a different category. His hot-shooting start is set to continue on Friday against the league's worst defense in field-goal percentage, Detroit.

Mon Nov 1 202105:47Kevin Durant Goes For 23 Points In Win Over Pistons
Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant helped the team cruise to a 117-91 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Sunday. He shot 10-for-13 from the field on the way to a game-high 23 points. He also added five assists, one rebound and one block. Durant has been in midseason form through the early going this year. He's scored at least 22 points in each of his seven games and he's averaging 27.7 points, 8.9 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game while shooting 58.3% from the field. He'll look to stay hot in his next trip to the court against the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday.

Thu Oct 28 202108:18Kevin Durant Records Third Double-Double Of The Season
Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant picked up his third double-double of the campaign in Wednesday's home loss to Miami, getting 25 points on 9-for-18 shooting and grabbing 11 rebounds. He nailed two three-point bombs with four attempts and also registered two assists and two blocks with one steal and five turnovers in 37 minutes. The Nets simply can't get going and they got limited to fewer than 100 points already for the second time this season. James Harden simply sleepwalked his way through the game with a 14-7-7 line and 33 percent shooting. It should be a better night on Friday against the Pacers, who play an up-tempo style and are ranked 21st in defensive efficiency.

Tue Oct 26 202105:36Kevin Durant Nets 25 Points In Easy Win
In a 104-90 win over the Washington Wizards, Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant continued to do Kevin Durant things. The 2014 MVP helped his team bounce back from a disappointing loss on Sunday with 25 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and two steals in 35 minutes of a ho-hum outing. The bizarre thing was he only took two three-point attempts. He's only attempted two threes or less four times in his career, with the last instance happening over three years ago. It's certainly nothing to worry about as it's an obvious outlier, but it was an eye-catching statistic. Durant is as set it and forget it as they come in fantasy basketball, and he'll make up for Monday's lack of three-pointers in the remaining three games on the Net's Week 2 schedule.

Sun Oct 24 202120:30Kevin Durant Scores 38 Points In Sunday's Loss
Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant put on a scoring clinic versus the Hornets on Sunday, but his 38 points weren't enough in an eventual 111-95 defeat. The veteran scorer finished 17-for-24 from the field with a 2-for-6 success rate from downtown. He pulled down five boards, handed out three assists and registered one steal with three turnovers in 36 minutes. Brooklyn has dropped two of the first three games, but Durant is off to a sizzling start to the season. He's averaging over 30 points a game, already has a triple-double and is pulling in defensive stats here and there as well.

Sat Oct 23 202114:01Kevin Durant's Triple-Double Leads Nets Past Sixers
Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant finished with 29 points, 15 rebounds, 12 assists, one steal, one block, one three-point field goal and two turnovers on 9-for-20 shooting from field goal range in Friday's 114-109 victory against the Sixers. Additionally, Durant went a perfect 10-for-10 from the free-throw line to lead the Nets to a comeback victory alongside guard James Harden and forward/center LaMarcus Aldridge. Durant was a top-five pick in the majority of fantasy leagues for a reason and he will continue to post monster numbers for the Nets going forward.

Tue Oct 19 202122:48Kevin Durant Drops 32 Points During Double-Double
Brooklyn Nets small/power forward Kevin Durant put his extensive offensive arsenal on display in Tuesday's season-opening defeat vs. Milwaukee, shooting 13-for-25 from the floor overall en route to a 32-point showing. Durant was the focal point of the offense, as he figures to be for much of the season, irrespective of Kyrie Irving's (suspension) status. Most encouraging to Durant's overall production was that he added 11 rebounds, four assists and two blocks over his 30 minutes, an indication of the upside he possesses on a nightly basis. His next outing comes Friday against the 76ers, whom he scorched for 23 points in 26 minutes when they met during the preseason on Oct. 11.

Fri Aug 6 202122:45Kevin Durant Signs Extension With Nets
Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant agreed to a four-year, $198 million contract extension with the team. The former MVP averaged 26.9 points, 7.1 rebounds, 5.6 boards, and 1.3 blocks while shooting 45 percent from deep throughout 35 games last season. The 32-year-old dealt with health and safety protocols in 2020-21, and injuries have been consistent during his career. However, managers should still consider him a top-10 option in all formats during upcoming fantasy drafts.

Thu Jul 22 202102:50Title rewards Antetokounmpo's decision to commit to Bucks
MILWAUKEE (AP) — This could have been the offseason in which Giannis Antetokounmpo entered the free-agent market and perhaps teamed up with another superstar to try winning multiple NBA titles together. Antetokounmpo instead will spend the summer celebrating a championship he won with the team that picked him. Leading the Bucks to their first NBA crown in half century rewarded Antetokounmpo for his December decision to sign a supermax extension with Milwaukee. Antetokounmpo averaged 35.2 points, 13.2 rebounds and 5 assists to help the Bucks beat the Phoenix Suns 4-2 in the NBA Finals. “I could go to a superteam and just do my part and win a championship,’’ Antetokounmpo said Tuesday as he was flanked by the Larry O’Brien trophy and his NBA Finals MVP trophy. “But this is the hard way to do it and this is the way to do it. And we did it.” Antetokounmpo, 26, stuck with the franchise that had taken a chance on him eight years ago by selecting him with the 15th overall pick in the draft. He... [More]

Mon Jun 21 202116:37Nets' ending came quickly, decisions about the future won't
NEW YORK (AP) — The end for the Brooklyn Nets came quickly. Changes to prevent it from happening again will not. Two days after a team with title hopes went out in the second round of the playoffs, the Nets said they will take some time evaluating their players — and even the people responsible for keeping them healthy. “I think you have to be very careful in the circumstances that we dealt with this year,” general manager Sean Marks said Monday. “No team has ever been through this before. You hope that next season looks vastly different from the protocols that were in place for COVID and so forth, so I don’t want to be too quick to judge anybody and there’s no rash decisions. We’ve never made rash decisions in five years since we’ve been here.” The Nets were eliminated with a 115-111 overtime loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference semifinals. James Harden missed all but 43 seconds of Games 1-4 with a hamstring injury, and Kyrie Irving sat out the final... [More]
Sun Jun 20 202111:16Nets had the shooting and scoring, but needed more health
NEW YORK (AP) — The Brooklyn Nets had all the shooting and scoring any team could ever want. They just didn't have the health that every team needs. Kevin Durant was spectacular in his first postseason in Brooklyn, but by the end of it a Big Three was down to 1 1/2. Kyrie Irving was on the bench and James Harden probably should have been. That's the way it often went for Brooklyn after putting together its three superstars. On paper, it looked unstoppable. On the court, it just wasn't seen all that much. “We gave it everything we had,” Harden said. “Just having to deal with injuries throughout the course of the year set us back.” That contributed to an ending far earlier than the Nets anticipated. Brooklyn was eliminated with a 115-111 overtime loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference semifinals. Irving missed the final 3 1/2 games of the series with a sprained right ankle. Harden played only 43 seconds of Games 1-4 because of right hamstring tightness,... [More]
Fri Jun 18 202117:26Nets, Bucks hope to avoid early exit in Game 7 on Saturday
NEW YORK (AP) — Brooklyn's blockbuster brought James Harden to play with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, creating a team with potential to shoot its way out of any situation. Milwaukee's move gave Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton a top two-way guard in Jrue Holiday, who could run his team and slow down the other. Both teams hoped their big trade was the one that would lead to a championship. One of them won't even get halfway there. The Nets and Bucks play Game 7 of their second-round series Saturday in Brooklyn, with the winner moving on to play for the Eastern Conference title and the loser falling well short of expectations. “With everything we’ve built and been through, we got the second seed for this particular reason and we’ve just got to go out there and hoop,” Harden said. “At home. One game.” In a series where the home team has won every game, the Nets hope their strong ending to the regular season pays off now. They won their final five games to finish two games ahead...
