Mon Nov 17 201420:14Terrence Jones: (Leg) No Timetable For Return
Jones (leg) has no timetable for a return, the Houston Chronicle reports.
The bruised nerve in Jones' left leg has yet to subside, which has spurred a seventh DNP in a row Monday in Memphis. In the meantime, Donatas Motiejunas will man power forward, while Kostas Papanikolaou continues to play a considerable role in the frontcourt rotation.
Fri Nov 14 201411:51Jones (leg) will not play Friday
Jones (leg) will not play Friday, Fox 26's Mark Berman reports.
Donatas Motiejunas started and saw 31 minutes at power forward, while Kostas Papanikolaou played 24 minutes off the bench in the Rockets' last game, so both have some value in daily settings with Jones out. Consider him day-to-day.
Wed Nov 12 201418:53Jones (leg) will not play in Wednesday's game
Jones (leg) will not play in Wednesday's game, Fox 26's Mark Berman reports.
Kostas Papanikolaou and Donatas Motiejunas will see the minutes at power forward in Jones' absence and he should be considered day-to-day.
Mon Nov 10 201416:27Jones (leg) did not practice Monday
Jones (leg) did not practice Monday, Mark Berman of Fox 26 in Houston reports.
Jones has missed the last three games since suffering a bruised leg in last Monday's game. Donatas Motiejunas has stepped up in his absence, and the versatile big man will likely continue to do so as long as Jones remains out. Jones' return appears near, however, and it's possible he could play as soon as Wednesday against the Timberwolves in Mexico City.
Fri Nov 7 201417:12Jones (leg) will not play Saturday against Warriors
Jones (leg) will not play Saturday against the Warriors, the Houston Chronicle reports.
Jones has missed two straight games now, with Saturday being the third. With the Rockets playing so well early on, they can afford to rest him for as long as need, so Jones may ride the bench a game or two longer. He'll be day-to-day moving forward. Donatas Motiejunas will most likely continue to start in his spot.
Thu Nov 6 201412:34Jones (leg) will not play Thursday against Spurs
Jones (leg) will not play Thursday against the Spurs, Jenny Dial Creech of the Houston Chronicle reports.
It will be the second straight absence for Jones, who also missed Tuesday's win over the Heat while dealing with a leg bruise. Donatas Motiejunas drew the start in his place against Miami, and that will likely be the case again Thursday as the Rockets seek to improve to 6-0.
Tue Nov 4 201418:24Terrence Jones: (Knee) Out Tuesday
Jones will miss Tuesday's game after knocking knees with someone in Monday's game, Rockets' announcer Craig Ackerman reports.
This is the first we have heard of the injury and Donatas Motiejunas will most likely fill in as the starting power forward. Consider Jones day-to-day.

Jones bounced back from a disappointing outing against the Jazz with 25 points (10-16 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 10 rebounds and two blocks in 30 minutes Saturday against the Celtics.
That makes two double-doubles in the first three games of the season for Jones, in addition to blocking two shots in all three contests. THere appears to be no competition for his starting power forward job and these type of nights should occur more regularly than the dud he put up against Utah.

Jones (neck) returned to action Friday against the Spurs and was able to put up 11 points (4-10 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 13 rebounds and two blocks.
Jones strained his neck during Wednesday's preseason game against the Magic but was able to make a successful return to the court with Friday's impressive double-double performance. With the regular season opener coming up against the Lakers on Tuesday, Jones seems to be in full health and will be an integral part of the rotation as the Rockets' starting power forward.
Wed Oct 22 201421:44Jones left Wednesday's exhibition game due to strained neck
Jones left Wednesday's exhibition game due to a strained neck.
Jones' injury isn't expected to be anything serious, but it wouldn't be surprising to see the Rockets hold him out of Friday's preseason finale. Consider the forward day-to-day until a clearer diagnosis is made.
Tue Oct 14 201421:14Jones hit funny bone in Tuesday's game
Jones hit his funny bone in Tuesday's game, and the Rockets say he will be fine, the Houston Chronicle's Jonathan Feigen reports.
He was seen wearing a large wrap on his right elbow, but it sounds like it was just his funny bone, and he should be back on the court in the very near future.

Jones apparently hurt his right arm/elbow and exited Tuesday's preseason game, Rockets announcer Craig Ackerman reports.
It's not clear how serious the injury is, but we will provide an update when something official is released by the team.

Jones will have to compete with Donatas Motiejunas for the starting power forward job, the Houston Chronicle's Jonathan Feigen reports.
This is the same kind of coach-driven competition that happened all of last season, and Jones ended up edging out Motiejunas, seeing 27.3 minutes per game versus his Lithuanian counterpart's 15.4 mpg. Unless something changes between now and the start of the season, Jones is the power forward on the Rockets that fantasy owners should be targeting. The Rockets are expected to pick up Jones' fourth-year option by the Oct. 31 deadline, barring any unforeseen developments.
Mon Apr 28 201401:22Terrence Jones plays 22 minutes off bench
Terrence Jones, who started 71 games for the Rockets this season, came off the bench again on Sunday for eight points, six rebounds and one steal in 22 minutes.
LaMarcus Aldridge's transcendent scoring in the playoffs has affected the series in more ways than one, as Houston is reverting to their early season 'twin towers' experiment in a last-ditch effort to slow him down. Omer Asik had six points, eight rebounds and one block in 33 minutes as a starter and coach Kevin McHale seems pleased with his ability to push Aldridge away from the basket, whereas Jones has been relentlessly bullied on the post.

Sat Apr 26 201402:14Terrence Jones doesn't score off the bench
Terrence Jones came off the bench against the Blazers on Friday, failing to score with two boards and one assist in 13 minutes.
The Rockets went small a lot tonight and it kept Jones' playing time way down. Since they were able to pull out the win, there's a good chance he won't be able to crack 20 minutes again on Sunday.

Wed Apr 23 201413:42Terrence Jones cleared of misdemeanor charges
Terrence Jones was cleared of misdemeanor harassment charges on Tuesday, stemming from an incident that occurred in July.
A police officer accused Jones of "stomping" on a homeless man who was sleeping in a doorway, but Jones said in a recent interview, "An officer's word is going to be worth more than mine ... What he saw didn't happen." As part of the case's dismissal Jones agreed to pay $10,000 to a charity that benefits the homeless.

Mon Apr 21 201401:18Terrence Jones can't check LaMarcus Aldridge
Terrence Jones had a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds in the Rockets' heart-breaking OT loss in Houston on Sunday.
Jones made 6-of-10 FGs while chipping in two assists and two blocks but he struggled defensively in a tough matchup vs. LaMarcus Aldridge, who blew up for 46 points in the road win. Rockets coach Kevin McHale used an eight-man rotation and gave DNP-CDs to both Donatas Motiejunas and Omri Casspi.

Mon Apr 14 201423:32Terrence Jones drops 20 and 11 in win
Terrence Jones looked great against the Spurs during a big 104-98 win on Monday, posting a line of 20 points, 11 boards, one assist, two steals and one turnover on 7-of-12 from the field.
He was in a mini slump with only 10.3 points per game in his previous three, but he had great looks in his 40 minutes, which was his highest since Jan. 16. Jones has broken out this season and being able to get to the basket has been a huge reason why. He looks like he's for real and will likely be a player to target in fantasy drafts next season.

Thu Apr 10 201400:59Terrence Jones' leg looks fine vs. Nuggets
Terrence Jones played 17 minutes vs. the Nuggets on Wednesday for 11 points, four boards, one assist, two steals, one block and one 3-pointer.
It wasn't his best game and he didn't quite seem as determined as he was on Tuesday, but it may not have been due to injury. Jones had leg cramps on Tuesday and he should still be ready for Friday vs. the Wolves. Keep him in your lineup.

Wed Apr 9 201419:54Terrence Jones will start vs. Nuggets
Terrence Jones (leg cramps) will start vs. the Nuggets on Wednesday night.
There was some concern about Jones' status tonight after he suffered a leg injury in the second half of Tuesday's game. He's good to go and was outstanding on Tuesday before his injury, so his fantasy owners can start him tonight in a favorable matchup.
