Sat Aug 3 201322:08Haren dominates Brewers for seven innings
Dan Haren went seven scoreless innings Saturday in the Nationals' 3-0 victory over the Brewers.
That's now two straight dominant outings for the 32-year-old right-hander, who held the Mets to one run over seven innings last week. Haren has been prone to blowups this season but he should do well against the Phillies next time out. He may finally get a chance to settle in.

Dan Haren held the Mets to one run in seven innings Saturday to earn his fifth win of the season.
Haren had little trouble navigating the Mets lineup, allowing just three hits and one walk while fanning six. He has been very inconsistent this season and has a 5.49 ERA and 1.35 WHIP to show for it. The right-hander is a risky fantasy play next week in Milwaukee.

Sat Jul 13 201322:57Dan Haren exceptional in no-decision vs. Fish
Dan Haren pitched an exceptional game in a no-decision against the Marlins on Saturday, allowing just three hits and a walk over six scoreless innings while punching out seven.
Haren has now allowed just two earned runs in 11 innings since returning from the disabled list, posting a 14/3 K/BB ratio in the process. Provided that he's fully recovered from the shoulder injuries that have plagued his last two seasons, Haren could deliver tremendous fantasy value in the second half of the season.

Dan Haren was effective in his return from the disabled list, yielding two runs in five innings and striking out seven against the Phillies on Monday.
That's about the best the Nationals could have hoped for after he went without making a rehab start. Unfortunately, it wasn't good enough for the team tonight. John Lannan, the pitcher they exiled to "upgrade" to Haren, shut them out for eight innings.

Nationals placed RHP Dan Haren on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to June 23, with right shoulder inflammation.

Sun Jun 23 201312:46Nats expected to place Dan Haren on DL
The Nationals are expected to place Dan Haren on the disabled list.
Haren has maintained throughout his struggles that he's healthy, so the Nats might be creating a phantom injury in order to get him out of the rotation for a while. Then again, it's possible his back is giving him trouble again. Haren was knocked around again Saturday and holds a 6.15 ERA through 15 starts. Ross Ohlendorf seems likely to replace him in the rotation.

Mon Jun 17 201322:55Dan Haren gives up four runs to Phillies
Dan Haren gave up four runs and seven hits in six innings Monday in a no-decision against the Phillies.
Haren struck out 10 Phillies last time he faced them on May 25. Tonight, he managed just three strikeouts, which is closer to his norm for the season. He's giving up too many homers, he's not working deep into games and he's not getting much support from the offense. Until something there changes, he'll remains pretty much worthless in fantasy leagues.
