B.J. Upton (groin) went 3-for-4 with two doubles and three runs scored Thursday in a rehab game for Triple-A Gwinnett.
It was the second of three games Upton is scheduled to play at Gwinnett. Upton, who has been sidelined since July 12 with a strained right adductor muscle, will be reevaluated after Friday's game. If everything checks out, he could be in Atlanta's lineup on Saturday. The Braves are 10-5 since Upton hit the shelf.

B.J. Upton is scheduled to begin a minor league rehab assignment Wednesday with Triple-A Gwinnett.
If all goes well, he will only have to play three games there. Upton has been on the 15-day disabled list since July 12 because of a strained right abductor muscle. He should be back with the Braves early next week.

Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez said Monday that he expects B.J. Upton (groin) and Jordan Schafer (foot) to begin minor league rehab assignments this week.
Upton has been sidelined since July 12 with a strained right adductor muscle, but he has ramped up baseball activities in recent days. Schafer is coming back from a stress fracture in his right foot and might need a bit more time.

B.J. Upton has been diagnosed with a right adductor muscle strain after leaving Friday's game against the Reds in the first inning.
Upton went down while trying to field Todd Frazier's triple in the first inning and had to come out of the game. While there is no timetable for his return yet, with the All-Star break looming it looks likely that he'll be able to avoid a trip to the disabled list.

B.J. Upton was ejected from Sunday's game against the Phillies for arguing balls and strikes.
Upton didn't like a called strike three from home plate Doug Eddings and was given the heave-ho on his way back to the dugout. The outfielder was 0-for-2 at the dish before being ejected. He could face a fine but surely won't be suspended.

B.J. Upton went 2-for-3 with an RBI double in the Braves' win over the Mets on Wednesday.
June has been by far Upton's best month at the dish, as he now has more runs batted in this month (9) than he had in the first two months combined (8). He's hitting a modest .255 in 18 June games, but that, too, is a season high for a month. It's certainly been a first half to forget for the elder Upton, but he's capable of getting hot and producing in bunches at a moment's notice.
