Hood started his second straight game, scoring 12 points (5-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt) with six rebounds, one assist and three steals in 33 minutes Saturday.
Hood has now played 33 minutes in both of his recent starts, averaging 16.0 points, 2.5 three-pointers, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.0 steals. There appears to be no reason why he won't stick as the starter next to Dante Exum, and with Hood's recent form, he could be a key addition to many fantasy teams as we head into the playoffs.

Hood moved into the starting lineup Thursday against the Rockets and spent 33 minutes on the court. He finished with 20 points (8-16 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 1-2 FT), one rebound, two assists, and one steal.
Hood seems to have finally made a full recovery from an earlier foot injury that stunted his rookie campaign. If he continues to see 30 plus minutes a night then he may be serviceable down the stretch in standard leagues, especially since he's expected to take an abundance of shots beyond the arc.

Hood will start Thursday's game versus the Rockets.
Hood will make his first start since the calendar flipped to 2015, and sixth of the season, pushing Joe Ingles to the bench. In his last five contests, Hood has averaged 10 points (on 43 percent shooting), 1.6 assists, 1.4 three-pointers, and 1.2 rebounds in 21 minutes.

Hood scored a career high 17 points (6-16 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT) with one rebound, and one assist in 25 minutes Tuesday.
Hood got extra playing time due to the absence of Gordon Hayward (back) and took advantage by getting up 16 shots with 17 points. He also benefited from Trey Burke's struggles, so don't expect Hood to continue this production going forward.

Hood put up nine points, one rebound, and two assists in 22 minutes off the bench against the 76ers on Friday.
The rookie is seeing consistent time off the bench but he's not quite seeing enough run to be relevant in standard leagues. It's quite possible that he may return to the starting lineup before the season comes to a close, but until then, his viability is limited to deeper leagues as he continues to work his way back into the swing of things after missing significant time with a recurring foot injury.

Hood (foot) returned to Wednesday's game at Boston, the Deseret News reports.
Hood fell to the floor and clutched his foot after stepping on Isaiah Thomas' foot, but after limping off the court, he's been given the all-clear to return.

Hood limped off the court during the fourth quarter of Wednesday's game in Boston, the Deseret News reports.
After stepping on Isaiah Thomas' foot, Hood fell to the floor and immediately clutched his own foot. It's unclear if Hood aggravated his lingering left foot, but the ailment, and his potential return, will be one to watch for the remainder of the game. If he doesn't return, the second-year guard will finish with four points (2-5 FG, 0-2 3Pt) and one rebound in 14 minutes.

Hood put up 14 points (5-8 FG, 3-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds, one assist, one steal, and two blocks in 20 minutes off the bench.
Hood is still working his way back from a significant foot injury but he's managed to score in double digits for two-straight games despite being on a minutes restriction. He's played exactly 20 minutes in each of his last two contests and that's probably to be expected moving forward until coach Quin Snyder feels comfortable letting Hood run wild. When that decision ultimately comes, the rookie may regain his spot in the starting lineup over the admirable replacement Joe Ingles. Despite the respectable job Ingles has done during his time in the starting five, Hood is in Utah's long-term plans and has a good chance of ending the season as a starter.

Hood will remain on a minutes limit Monday.
Hood returned to action Friday against Portland and scored six points in 10 minutes. Coach Quin Snyder confirmed that he'll remain on a strict cap of five minutes per half Monday, and that will likely continue for the next few games as he works his way back into game shape
Sat Feb 21 201504:11Hood (foot) returned Friday after missing past month
Hood (foot) returned Friday after missing the past month. He scored six points (2-4 FG, 2-3 3Pt) and added one rebound in 10 minutes against the Nuggets.
Hood was on a strict minutes cap, and probably will remain restricted for at least the next several games. Hood has some potential when he is fully active, but he has very little value while his playing time is so limited.

Hood (foot) will play in Friday's game against Portland but his minutes will be restricted, the Salt Lake Tribune reports.
Hood has been off the court since Jan. 18 and will likely take on a light workload over the next week as to prevent further injury to the foot that has stained his rookie campaign. Over time he may regain his spot in the starting lineup, although Joe Ingles will man that role until Hood is undeniably healthy.

Hood (foot) practiced Thursday and is probable to play Friday versus the Blazers.
Hood has played in just two contests in 2015, but back-to-back practices Wednesday and Thursday forecast a return to the floor Friday. If he plays, as expected, he'll likely be subject to a minutes restriction. Keep in mind that Hood's return coincides with Joe Ingles' (back), meaning the former will likely be eased into action.
Wed Feb 18 201522:46Hood (foot) expects to return Friday against Blazers
Hood (foot) expects to return Friday against the Blazers, but a minutes restriction is all but assured, the Salt Lake Tribune reports.
Hood has been contained to two appearances since the calendar flipped to 2015 as a result of foot concerns, but a limited practice Wednesday forecasts an imminent return. However, if he suits up Friday, it remains to be seen if he'll enter the starting five or come off the bench. The potential return of fellow wing Joe Ingles (back) could determine Hood's initial role.
Tue Feb 17 201511:45Hood (foot) close to making return to court
Hood (foot) is close to making a return to the court, the Salt Lake Tribune's Tony Jones reports.
Hood's injury has forced him to be sidelined for the last 12 games for Utah, but it appears as if Hood will be ready for a return soon. Hood's exact value is a mystery, as injuries have caused him to only play in two games since Jan. 2. Regardless, Hood has not shot the ball efficiently this season when he has played and should only be considered a play in the deepest of leagues.

Hood (foot) will be in a walking boot for another week before he begins rehab and limited conditioning, The Salt Lake Tribune reports.
Hood isn't in a hurry to return to the court since his current foot injury stems from playing too soon after an initial injury to his foot earlier this season. His status will likely be updated moving forward, but he's not expected back until after the All-Star break at the earliest.
Tue Jan 20 201516:52Rodney Hood: (Foot) Out Until After All-Star Break
Hood (foot) will have his left foot placed in a boot and will remain out until after the All-Star break.
The rookie was experiencing recurring swelling in his left foot, so the Jazz will shut him down for about a month. He'll don a boot for approximately one week, after which he'll begin conditioning and light court work aimed at strengthening the foot. Hood, who is averaging 5.3 points and 2.5 rebounds in 18.3 minutes, should cede most of his playing time to the likes of Dante Exum and Elijah Millsap.

Hood left Sunday's game against the Spurs in the fourth quarter with a foot injury.
Hood exited with just under 11 minutes remaining in the game. He underwent X-rays, which came back negative, and will return to Salt Lake City for further evaluation. The severity of the injury is unknown at this time, but the Jazz off until Wednesday, Hood should be considered day-to-day until further notice.

Hood (heel) was available Friday in a win over the Lakers, but had a minutes restriction in place and scored just five points (2-4 FG, 1-3 3Pt) while picking up five rebounds and one assist in 21 minutes.
This was Hood's first game after missing his past seven. Although he's healthy now, Hood doesn't have that large of a role for the Jazz. In December, he averaged 19.7 minutes per gaem and shot just 36.3 percent while averaging 6.0 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.4 assists.
Fri Jan 16 201519:18Hood (heel) will play in Friday's game
Hood (heel) will play in Friday's game, but will be under a minute restriction, Jazz announcer David Locke reports.
While it is great to have Hood back in action, it would be wise to shy away from using him in daily leagues until we see him playing 25-30 minutes per game.
Fri Jan 16 201513:21Hood now listed as questionable to play against Lakers
Hood is now listed as questionable to play against the Lakers.
Hood was originally listed as out for Friday's game but he managed to participate in the morning shootaround and now has a chance to play. If he does in fact take the court, he'll likely be a limited participant as he works his way back to health since he hasn't played since Dec. 30. That means that Joe Ingles could retain some of his inflated value for the time being, although not for long.
