Tue Nov 11 201418:51Hood (foot) questionable for Wednesday's game against Hawks
Hood (foot) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Hawks, the Salt Lake Tribune reports.
Hood left Friday's game with plantar fasciitis in his right foot, and has now missed two games in a row. Wednesday's game would make it three in a row, but he'll be a game time decision. Considering he's been questionable for the past few games, he should most likely be ready to go in the near if he can't return Wednesday.
Mon Nov 10 201417:42Hood (foot) will not play Monday against Pacers
Hood (foot) will not play Monday against the Pacers, Jody Genessy of the Deseret News reports.
Hood is in the midst of a bout with plantar fasciitis in his right foot, which forced him out of Friday's game against the Mavericks and caused him to miss Sunday's matchup with the Pistons. The rookie out of Duke, by way of Mississippi State, was considered questionable heading into Monday's game, so it seems reasonable to expect he'll be back in action in the near future. In six games this season, Hood is averaging 4.0 points and 3.3 rebounds.

Hood (foot) is questionable for Monday's game at Indiana, the Salt Lake Tribune's Aaron Falk reports.
He sat out Sunday's game with plantar fasciitis, but could be nearing a return. Even so, he's only an option in deeper leagues, as he is behind Gordon Hayward on the depth chart.

Hood left Friday's game with plantar fasciitis in his right foot and will not return.
Typically plantar fasciitis forces players to miss more than a game, so Hood should be considered day-to-day, at best.

Hood failed to score a single point in 17 minutes off the bench for the Jazz versus the Mavericks.
Hood missed all seven shots that he took, including three from beyond the arc. However, no other bench player for the Jazz in the backcourt really shined, but Hood's poor performance can't be good for his minutes going forward.

Hood has played in five preseason games for the Jazz with an average of 24.6 minutes per contest.
Hood is shaping up to be a part of coach Quin Snyder's rotation, although it remains unclear just how much time he'll be allotted on any given night. Most importantly, he has his foot in the door with the opportunity to gain a bigger role on the team as the season progresses.

Hood (hip) made his preseason debut Monday, getting the start at shooting guard and scoring 12 points (5-8 FG, 2-3 3P) with two rebounds and two assists in a team-high 33 minutes of court time.
With Alec Burks (shoulder) still on the sidelines, coach Quin Snyder elected to give Hood plenty of run. The first round pick was expected to be Gordon Hayward's main backup at small forward this season, but if Snyder plans on letting him see time at the two as well Hood could get enough minutes to become interesting from a fantasy perspective.

Hood (hip) is expected to make his preseason debut Monday against the Clippers, Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune reports.
Hood was medically cleared for the team's last game Thursday but was ultimately held out as he continues to work back from a strained right hip. The rookie is expected to get his first taste of NBA action Monday, however, and he should see extensive minutes as the Jazz attempt to ready him for the regular season.

Hood (hip) was medically cleared for Thursday's preseason game but coach Quin Snyder ultimately elected to keep the rookie off the court, the Deseret News reports.
Hood has been dealing with a strained right hip flexor during training camp, although it's not believed to be serious. Snyder openly acknowledged after the game that Hood could have played but the first-year coach didn't see any reason to rush Hood on the court when the Jazz still have six games on their preseason schedule before their regular season tips off on Oct. 29 against the Rockets.
Thu Oct 9 201415:28Hood (hip) will be available for Thursday's preseason game

Hood is slated to get time in coach Quin Snyder's rotation at both wing spots this season, the Salt Lake Tribune reports.
Hood proved to be a capable shooter from beyond the arc during the Las Vegas Summer League and will be able to help the Jazz extend the court this season. He'll provide backup for Alec Burks at shooting guard and Gordon Hayward at small forward during his stints off the bench. The rookie from Duke should go undrafted in most leagues, but he might be valuable in very deep leagues looking for three-point shooters.
Tue Jul 15 201400:19All good in the Hood: Rodney scores 29 points
Rodney Hood was on fire vs. the Bucks on Monday, scoring 29 points on 11-of-16 shooting with three rebounds, five assists, two steals and seven 3-pointers.
He put on a shooting clinic with multiple swishes and the Bucks didn't want to cover him much. Hood really added a lot to his attack today, putting the ball on the floor a lot more compared to Saturday. He's definitely worth a look late in drafts.

Sun Jul 13 201400:35Rodney Hood can't hit shots vs. Philly
Rodney Hood shot just 1-of-10 from beyond the arc vs. the 76ers on Saturday, scoring a total of nine points with eight boards, one steal, six fouls and three turnovers.
It was a catch-and-shoot fest for Hood tonight. He was moving very well without the ball and rotated nicely as a kick-out guy on pick-and-rolls and isolations. The loss of Marvin Williams opens up some minutes for Hood, which makes him worth monitoring deeper formats for now.

Hood averaged 16.1 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists while shooting 46.4 percent from the field and 42.0 percent from beyond the arc as a sophomore with the Blue Devils, and he could have a prominent role if Gordon Hayward and Richard Jefferson leave via free agency.
