Hood (shoulder) provided 23 points (9-17 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 4-6 FT), 10 rebounds, four assists, and two steals in 29 minutes during Monday's summer league opener.
Hood was held out of practice leading up to the Jazz's first summer league game due to a sore left shoulder. His inclusion in the starting lineup and subsequent offensive performance should alleviate concerns about any lingering pain.

Hood (shoulder) missed practice Sunday because of a sore left shoulder, the Salt Lake Tribune reports.
This marks the second practice in a row that Hood was held out of, but it's still unclear how severe the injury really is. He remains questionable for the start of the Jazz's Summer League on Monday. Considering it's just summer league though, don't expect the Jazz to rush him back, so he could end up missing a game or two during the upcoming week. Consider him day-to-day moving forward.
Sat Jul 4 201514:20Hood missed practice Saturday due to sore left shoulder
Hood missed practice Saturday due to a sore left shoulder, the Salt Lake Tribune reports.
The severity of the injury is unclear, but Hood's status should be considered up in the air for the start of the Jazz's Summer League on Monday against the Celtics. He'll be aiming to build upon a rookie season in which he averaged 8.7 points (on 41 percent shooting), 2.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.2 three-pointers in 21 minutes across 50 games.

Hood will be playing in the summer league and has already scheduled an offseason full of training in preparation for the 2015-16 season, The Salt Lake Tribune reports.
Hood's rookie season was riddled with time spent off the court with a lingering foot injury but he eventually returned to health and had an impressive finish to his season en route to Rookie of the Month honors for April. The former Blue Devil ended the season as the starting shooting guard but his role under coach Quin Snyder next season is unclear with normal starter Alec Burks (shoulder) expected to return to form sometime this offseason. Hood seems to be on tap for at least a large role off the bench, but his draft stock will currently sit in the final rounds of standard formats with his potential workload in flux until Snyder clears things up during training camp.

Hood scored 20 points (7-14 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 3-3 FT) with eight rebounds, four assists and one block in 33 minutes during Wednesday's win over the Kings.
This was the second straight game against the Kings and Hood has played very well in both games. Given Hood's form and Gordon Hayward is playing limited minutes, he should be owned in every league.

Hood scored 17 points (7-12 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT) with five rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 29 minutes Saturday.
Hood missed just one game with a concussion and was straight back in the starting lineup, reaching double-digits for the first time in the last four games. Hood is a reliable source of three-pointers, though, hitting at least one in his previous five games and with a game Sunday, could be a key addition to your team.
Sat Apr 4 201520:22Rodney Hood: (Concussion) Cleared To Play Saturday
Hood (concussion) has received clearance to take the court Saturday at Phoenix.
After sustaining a concussion Monday, Hood missed Wednesday's game due to the concern. However, after emerging from the league's protocol for head injuries, he may take on his usual spot as the starting shooting guard.
Tue Mar 31 201513:09Hood diagnosed with concussion
Hood has been diagnosed with a concussion, the Jazz's official site reports.
Hood was removed from Monday's win in Minnesota after taking an elbow to the head, an act that will ultimately place him in the league's concussion protocol. Due to the murky nature of head injuries, consider the wing out indefinitely as he traverses his way back to the court.

Hood exited Monday's game with concussion symptoms.
Hood played only 11 minute s after started at shooting guard, finishing with seven points and four fouls. He'll be evaluated further after the game, but for now consider him questionable for Wednesday's matchup with the Nuggets.

Hood scored seven points (3-8 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 0-1 FT) in his return from illness, adding three rebounds, one steal and one block in 29 minutes in the victory over the Thunder.
Hood was placed straight back into the starting lineup, but failed to fire, and despite some big games, his overall contributions make it hard to roster him outside of as a streaming option for three-pointers. He is averaging 1.5 three-pointers in his last six games, but aside from that, he has limited value.

Hood (illness) is playing and starting at shooting guard for Saturday's game against the Thunder.
Hood missed the Jazz's last two games with an illness, but he's back in action and should see between 25-32 minutes for the Jazz going forward. He's an interesting stream candidate with the Jazz having four games this coming week.

Hood (illness) is probable for Saturday's game against Oklahoma City, Aaron Falk of the Salt Lake Tribune reports.
Hood did not make the trip to Denver for Friday's game and also missed Wednesday's game due to a gastrointestinal illness. It's unclear whether he'll be in the starting lineup for Saturday if he does play, however.
Fri Mar 27 201516:06Hood (illness) did not make trip to Denver with team
Hood (illness) did not make the trip to Denver with the team, Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune reports.
Hood missed Wednesday's game due to illness, and he's back in Utah undergoing further evaluation by team doctors. The hope is that he'll be able to return soon, though no timetable has been handed down. Hood has put together some strong performances in March, scoring 20-plus points twice and scoring in double-figures in six of 12 contests (24.3 minutes per game).

Hood isn't with the Jazz in advance of Friday's game at Denver due to gastrointestinal distress.
The Jazz return home after Friday's tilt to take on the Thunder on Saturday, which likely includes his best odds of returning to action in the next two games. With Gordon Hayward (collarbone) listed as probable Friday, Joe Ingles and Elijah Millsap should serve as the primary wing options off the bench.
Wed Mar 25 201513:18Hood (illness) ruled out for Wednesday's game
Hood (illness) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game, Jazz announcer David Locke reports.
Look for Joe Ingles to get the start at small forward Wednesday and consider Hood day-to-day going forward.
Tue Mar 24 201517:58Rodney Hood: (Illness) Doubtful Against Portland
Hood (illness) is considered doubtful for Wednesday's game against Portland.
Hood exited Sunday's game against the Timberwolves early with gastrointestinal distress and was unable to take part in Tuesday's practice. This is actually a recurring problem for the rookie who also battled the illness during his short time in college with Duke. If he's ultimately unable to take the court Wednesday then fellow rookie Joe Ingles is in line to see significant minutes on the court as Gordon Hayward (collarbone) is also considered doubtful against Portland.
Tue Mar 24 201514:22Hood did not practice Tuesday
Hood did not practice Tuesday, Aaron Falk of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.
Hood was forced out of Monday's game against the Timberwolves, missing out on his chance to take advantage of Gordon Hayward's (shoulder) absence. Hood has another day to recover before Wednesday's game against the Trail Blazers, and Hayward also stands a chance to return. If neither is able to play, the Jazz will need major contributions from all of Trey Burke, Elijah Millsap and Joe Ingles.
Mon Mar 23 201523:00Rodney Hood: (Illness) Exits Early Against Minnesota
Hood will not return to Monday's game against the Timberwolves after suffering from gastrointestinal distress, the Salt Lake Tribune reports.
Hood managed to play for 20 minutes before departing early, compiling eight points, four assists, and two steals during that short time on the court. Looking ahead, this type of illness won't likely plague him in the long-term but he should be considered a game-time decision for Wednesday's tilt against Portland nonetheless.

Hood scored 19 points (9-14 FG, 1-3 3Pt) with one rebound in the loss to the Warriors on Saturday.
Hood recovered nicely after an ugly zero-point performance against the Lakers on Thursday. He's mostly a one-trick pony right now, but has the upside to develop into a 20-point scorer down the road. Hood is currently only a factor in deeper 12-team leagues and above.
Tue Mar 17 201500:23Hood scored career-high 24 points (9-11 FG, 5-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT) wit...
Hood scored a career-high 24 points (9-11 FG, 5-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT) with three rebounds, three assists and a steal in just 22 minutes during Monday's blowout win over the Hornets.
If the game had been closer, Hood likely would have been able to pad his stat line even further. The rookie has firmly seized the starting two-guard role, averaging 18.3 points, 3.3 threes, 2.8 boards and 1.5 steals over his last four games, and should be a priority target on your waiver wire.
