Sun Sep 25 201120:47Austin Pettis makes two catches in debut
Rams rookie WR Austin Pettis caught two passes for eight yards in his NFL debut Sunday.
Pettis' two catches were his only targets of the day. The best that can be said for Pettis' afternoon is that he didn't meltdown the way fellow rookie Greg Salas did in Week 2. He should be active again in Week 4.

Fri Sep 23 201120:23Austin Pettis seeing increased practice reps
Rams rookie Austin Pettis revealed that his reps were increased in practice this week, indicating he may make his debut in Week 3.
The Rams' third-round pick, Pettis was a healthy scratch in Weeks 1 and 2. "I got some decent reps with the offense this week, so hopefully I can get in there and make some plays," he said. Pettis also fielded punts in practice, on the heels of fellow rookie Greg Salas' fumbled punt last Monday night. If Pettis is active against Baltimore, it could send Salas back to the bench.

Wed Aug 24 201116:19Austin Pettis, Greg Salas underwhelming
According to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Rams rookie receivers Austin Pettis and Greg Salas "haven't shown a whole lot" in camp.
Thomas did recognize Salas for two nice first-down catches in the Rams' second preseason game, but left out an awful drop by the rookie out of Hawaii. Pettis has been mostly invisible, recently moving behind special teamer Mardy Gilyard on the depth chart. With Pettis, we questioned if he'd be able to separate coming out of Boise State. He's purely a possession receiver.

Fri Jul 29 201116:31Rams sign rookie WR Austin Pettis
Rams signed third-round WR Austin Pettis to a four-year contract.
The 78th overall pick in the draft, Pettis is a possession receiver with an especially reliable pair of hands. St. Louis is trying to upgrade its efficiency at wideout after the team combined for so many drops last year. The Rams have made no big free agent moves at receiver as of yet, so Pettis should have every opportunity to earn a big role on offense right out of the schute.
