Sun Sep 23 201212:18Brian Quick healthy scratch for Week 3
Rams rookie WR Brian Quick is a healthy scratch for Week 3 against the Bears.
Compared to Terrell Owens by Rams WRs coach Ray Sherman after St. Louis took him with the No. 33 pick, Quick played just six offensive snaps in Weeks 1 and 2. Per the St. Louis Post-Dispatch's Bernie Miklasz, Quick has had trouble learning the offense. With Austin Pettis off suspension, it could be a while before Quick sees the field. He's entirely off the redraft radar.

Tue Sep 11 201213:34Rookie Quick plays just three snaps
Rams rookie WR Brian Quick played just three snaps in Week 1 versus the Lions.
Brandon Gibson (46-of-58 snaps) was the surprise starter opposite Danny Amendola, pushing Steve Smith (23 snaps) into the third receiver role. Rookie Chris Givens was on the field for 18 snaps as the designated deep threat. Outside of Amendola in PPR leagues, there's no reliable fantasy value among the Rams receivers.

Fri Sep 7 201213:49Rams WRs Quick, Givens buried on depth chart
Rams rookie WRs Brian Quick and Chris Givens didn't see a single target from Sam Bradford in preseason action.
Brandon Gibson will enter the season as the third receiver behind starters Steve Smith and Danny Amendola. Smith was Bradford's preseason target leader. Coordinator Brian Schottenheimer has never made liberal use of three- and four-wide sets, so Quick and Givens could be inactive early in the season.

Sun Aug 19 201211:35Brian Quick left game with back spasms
Rams rookie WR Brian Quick exited Saturday night's preseason game in the third quarter due to back spasms.
The Rams said he was fine after the game. Seeing some first-team snaps but playing mostly with the Kellen Clemens group, Quick hauled in three receptions for 20 yards against the Chiefs Saturday night, and also had a 10-yard touchdown catch nullified by penalty. Quick may not open the season as a starter, but he figures to develop into one sooner rather than later.

Thu Aug 16 201219:32Light bulb flipping on for rookie WR Quick
Sam Bradford suggested the light bulb has finally flipped on for second-round WR Brian Quick.
After a slow start to camp, Quick has been outstanding in back-to-back practices this week. We'll be eager to see how Quick handles himself against the Chiefs Saturday night after struggling noticeably versus the Colts' suspect cornerbacks in the preseason opener.

Wed Aug 8 201210:10Brian Quick coming on at Rams camp
Second-round WR Brian Quick is starting to come on after a slow start to his rookie training camp.
Brandon Gibson (undisclosed) has missed a couple days of camp, allowing Quick to take advantage of some first-team reps. The Appalachian State certainly has the raw talent edge on the likes of Gibson, Steve Smith and Greg Salas. It remains to be seen exactly when he'll pass them on the depth chart.

Tue Jul 31 201201:33Quick won't be handed a starting job
The Rams official website confirms rookie WR Brian Quick "isn't being handed anything in terms of a starting job."
The Rams are counting on Quick to play a major role in the passing game, but he's going to have to earn his depth-chart climb over the next month. After struggling in Sunday's practice, Quick bounced back Monday with his best showing since rookie camp opened last week. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch notes that Quick "looks like he's determined to get himself ready to play and contribute as soon as possible."

Wed Jun 13 201213:35Rams to 'lean heavily' on rookie WR Quick
Steven Jackson is publicly challenging rookie WR Brian Quick because the Rams plan to "lean heavily" on the second-rounder this season.
"We're going to need someone on the outside to make plays," said Jackson. "And I'm challenging him right now because we're going to need him to prepare himself over the next six weeks to be a standout on this team." Quick has impressed with his physical gifts during OTAs, but S-Jax noted that he's still swimming in the playbook after coming from mid-major Appalachian State's spread offense. The Rams are "in love" with Quick to the extent that their personnel staff believe he's on par with Justin Blackmon.
