Wed Dec 12 201223:56Nate Robinson quiet in start for Hinrich
Nate Robinson started for Kirk Hinrich (knee) on Wednesday and had 14 points, four assists and two 3-pointers on 5-of-12 shooting in a win over the Sixers.
Maybe Robinson just had his hands full with Jrue Holiday, but we were expecting more from him as a starter. With Hinrich dealing with knee and elbow issues right now, picking up Robinson could prove to really pay off at some point. And we're expecting bigger numbers if he gets another start on Saturday against the Nets.

Sun Dec 9 201201:29Nate Robinson takes over for Hinrich (elbow)
Nate Robinson started the second half for Chicago on Saturday, replacing Kirk Hinrich (elbow), and he finished with 14 points, two 3-pointers, six rebounds, eight assists and one steal in 30 minutes.
Hinrich is listed as day-to-day and his elbow injury doesn't seem serious, which could mean Robinson will return to his usual bench role vs. the Clippers on Tuesday.

Sat Dec 8 201200:32Robinson plays 12 minutes on Friday
Nate Robinson played 12 minutes on Friday against the Pistons, scoring two points on 1-of-8 shooting with one rebound and one steal.
When Robinson isn't scoring and making plays he doesn't have much value to Tom Thibodeau, especially when Kirk Hinrich (13 points, six assists) can be serviceable on that end. This is all a part of the process of owning Robinson, who is a borderline late-round value in 8-cat leagues playing behind injury-risk Hinrich. In 9-cat leagues, his value is more in the 14-16 team range.

Thu Dec 6 201208:46Nate Robinson striving for consistency
Nate Robinson is working to improve his consistency.
"He has had some really good games for us, some games that are in the middle," Thibodeau said. "I want him to be consistent and run our team well." Robinson had six points and three assists (no treys) on Wednesday, playing just 13.5 minutes. He's averaging 21 minutes per game this season, and his offensive production will likely remain inconsistent.

Wed Dec 5 201200:11Nate Robinson scores 19 in loss to Pacers
Nate Robinson had 19 points, two rebounds, one assist, zero steals and two 3-pointers on 5-of-13 shooting off the bench for the Bulls on Tuesday.
With Rip Hamilton out for a couple weeks and Marco Belinelli struggling with his shot, it's possible the Bulls could start Nate at point guard and move Kirk Hinrich to shooting guard. Hinrich started at PG again tonight and had five points, six assists, a steal, two blocks and a 3-pointer on 2-of-7 shooting, and unless Robinson ends up in the starting lineup, he'll simply be too inconsistent to be relied upon in fantasy. But if you have room to stash him, he's worth holding, even in a bench role, as Hinrich's health could be shaky all season.

Sat Dec 1 201223:39Nate Robinson plays 12 minutes on Saturday
Nate Robinson played under 12 minutes off the bench vs. the Sixers, scoring seven points with two assists.
Tom Thibodeau isn't afraid to overuse his starters with an air-tight rotation, which results in occasional disappearing acts for Nate Rob and the rest of Chicago's reserves. Keep an eye on Rip Hamilton's sprained foot, however, as Robinson and Marco Belinelli (two points in 11 minutes) would stand to benefit in his absence.

Thu Nov 29 201200:50Nate Robinson plays well off Bulls bench
Nate Robinson had 14 points, six assists, two steals and two 3-pointers on 5-of-6 shooting in 21 minutes on Wednesday.
Kirk Hinrich was quiet with six points, three assists and a 3-pointer, allowing Robinson to shine. He's been up and down like a yo-yo, but it would only take another injury to Hinrich to make Robinson an automatic fantasy starter.

Mon Nov 26 201223:50Robinson plays just 10 minutes against MIL
Nate Robinson played just 10 minutes against the Bucks on Monday, scoring two points on one field goal attempt with no other statistics.
Following 21 points, five rebounds, and five assists on Wednesday, the two-game set with the Bucks appears to have generated a different rotation out of Tom Thibodeau. We've watched Robinson return late-round value in his fluctuating role, and playing behind injury prone Kirk Hinrich he has nice upside too, despite the disaster of the last two games.

Sun Nov 25 201200:02Bulls win, Nate Robinson quiet off bench
The Bulls won in Milwaukee on Saturday despite a quiet game from Nate Robinson, who scored four points on 2-of-7 shooting off the bench.
Nate chipped in just one assist and two steals in 17 minutes, and his defensive limitations may have been the culprit against the Bucks' explosive backcourt. In the aggregate he's worth owning, and would take off if Kirk Hinrich gets injured, but owners will have to live with the occasional dud.

Thu Nov 22 201200:30Robinson scores 21 points with full line
Nate Robinson scored 21 points off the bench on Wednesday against the Rockets, hitting 9-of-22 shots (including a three) with five rebounds and five assists in 26 minutes.
This is why we've been advocating that owners stash Robinson, as he provides late-round value and will likely be a must-own player if injury prone Kirk Hinrich ever goes down.

Sun Nov 18 201223:31Rip Hamilton scores 15 pts in limited minutes
Rip Hamilton scored 15 points in Sunday's road loss, hitting 7-of-10 FGs with one 3-pointer in 22 minutes.
If empty points would help your team, feel free to pick up Rip, but don't be surprised when he offers just a trickle of auxiliary stats.

Sun Nov 18 201200:53Nate Robinson scores 11 pts off Bulls bench
Nate Robinson scored 11 points off Chicago's bench in a blowout loss on Saturday, but he didn't record any rebounds, assists or steals.
Nate couldn't even post consistent numbers during Kirk Hinrich's recent absence, and the erratic veteran isn't worth owning while he's stuck in a reserve role. He wasn't the only culprit in Chicago's lackluster bench effort, however, as the second unit combined to shoot 9-of-31 from the field.

Tue Nov 13 201202:17Robinson scores 11 points with seven assists
Nate Robinson started for injured Kirk Hinrich (hip) in the Bulls' 101-95 loss to the Celtics on Monday, scoring 11 points on 3-of-7 shooting (including a three) with two rebounds, seven assists, and two steals in 30 minutes.
Robinson is a solid late-round value so far this year and will likely have standalone value even when Hinrich returns, though his consistency will take a hit. He gave way to Marquis Teague in the fourth quarter as Tom Thibodeau went with a more defensive unit, but we can't see the raw Teague being a huge factor in Chicago unless the veterans face-plant. Robinson is a solid fantasy option until Hinrich (day-to-day) returns.

Sat Nov 10 201222:57Nate Robinson starts 2nd half w/ Hinrich out
Nate Robinson started the second half on Saturday and wound up with 18 points on 8-of-14 shooting, with four rebounds, two assists and five turnovers.
Kirk Hinrich's strained hip forced Nate into the starting lineup, and he'd be a solid fantasy option if Kirk misses any more games. So far this season, in just 21 minutes per game, he's averaging 10.2 points, 0.8 threes, 3.4 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.0 steals.

Fri Oct 26 201223:25Nate Robinson makes most of another start
Nate Robinson started for Kirk Hinrich (groin) on Friday and hit 7-of-10 shots and a 3-pointer on his way to 21 points and eight assists.
Perhaps the most impressive stat is that he committed just one turnover. Hinrich, who is expected to be healthy for the start of the season, is still the starter, but this is a strong reminder that Robinson is an explosive offensive player when firing on all cylinders. If he goes undrafted in your league, which is likely, keep a close eye on him once the season starts. Robinson also went off for 24 points and 13 assists in a start on Oct. 16.

Tue Oct 16 201223:25Nate Robinson goes off for 24 points
Nate Robinson thrived in his start on Tuesday wiht 24 points, 13 assists, two steals and four threes in 37 minutes.
This was a fantastic way for Robinson to rebound from his ugly weekend that included only making 4-of-22 shots in two games this past weekend. Robinson will likely need more than one huge preseason to take the starting job away from Kirk Hinrich (thumb).

Tue Oct 9 201223:17Nate Robinson drops 13 in Bulls debut
Nate Robinson played 20 minutes and handed in a line of 13 points (3-of-8 FGs, 6-of-6 FTs), two boards, a steal and a three in the win over Memphis.
Kirk Hinrich had a solid game in the starting role with five points on 1-of-5 from the field, seven assists, two steals and two blocks in 24 minutes. One of these two could have some value late in your draft, but they also might cancel each other out in standard leagues.

Tue Sep 18 201209:20Nate Robinson's contract is non-guaranteed
Nate Robinson's contract with the Bulls is non-guaranteed.
We fully expect Robinson to make the roster, but it's somewhat surprising that Nate Rob had to settle for a non-guaranteed deal in the offseason. He should serve as a backup at both guard spots for the Bulls, garnering consistent minutes.

Wed Aug 1 201204:24Nate Robinson officially a Bull
Bulls sign FA guard Nate Robinson on Tuesday.
Robinson will help fill the void left by Derrick Rose's knee injury, that will keep him out of most of the upcoming season. It looks like Kirk Hinrich is the favorite to win the starting point guard job, but Robinson should see plenty of minutes off the bench, helping to back up both guard positions, while this is bad news for rookie Marquis Teague, who will be behind Hinrich and Robinson on the depth chart.

Mon Jul 30 201218:34Bulls, Nate Robinson agree to terms
The Bulls and FA Nate Robinson have agreed to terms on a contract, according to multiple sources.
Derrick Rose might not return until March, and rookie Marquis Teague probably isn't ready for heavy minutes, meaning Nate should see plenty of action backing up Kirk Hinrich at PG for a few months. In 23 minutes per game last season, he averaged 11.2 points, 1.3 threes, 4.5 assists and 1.2 steals.
