Sun Dec 15 201321:42Corey Brewer doubles season-high w/ 12 boards
Corey Brewer doubled his previous season-high with 12 rebounds on Sunday, while scoring nine points with two assists and three steals in 37 minutes.
Brewer knocked down one 3-pointer to round out a fine evening. He's only averaging 10.6 points on 35.7 percent shooting in December, unfortunately, and his typical lack of rebounds and assists makes him a low-end value.

Mon Nov 25 201321:43Brewer hits 3-of-12 shots against Pacers
Corey Brewer hit just 3-of-12 shots on Monday, scoring nine points with one rebound, one steal, one block and six turnovers in 40 minutes.
Maybe he's hearing the footsteps of expected acquisition Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, but more than likely it was just an off-night for the mostly consistent fantasy play. Mbah a Moute profiles more as a guy that can be used in a 15-25 minute role backing up both wing slots, so Brewer's role and value aren't necessarily going to be hurt and it's fair to wonder if Chase Budinger's return isn't going as planned.

Tue Nov 19 201321:36Corey Brewer plays well in loss to Wizards
Corey Brewer had 16 points, four rebounds, four steals and a 3-pointer on 7-of-17 shooting in Tuesday's loss.
Brewer has been a nice player in the starting lineup for the Wolves, although he's inconsistent at time. He scored just four points on Saturday, but had 11 and 27 points in the two games prior to that dud. If he's available in your smaller league, he's certainly worth a close look.

Thu Nov 14 201301:09Corey Brewer keeps it going on Wednesday
Corey Brewer shot 10-of-17 from the field or 27 points against the Cavs on Wednesday with four boards, one assist and two steals while making all five attempts from 3-point range.
He entered tonight with an NBA-high 56 fast-break points and releases at the right time when the Wolves get the ball off a turnover. Brewer's 27 points tonight were a season high and he raised his field goal shooting 52.7 percent. If he's going to keep getting uncontested fast-break layups, there shouldn't be a problem with shooting above his career field goal shooting of 41.8 percent this season. Keep him going in your lineup until he cools off.

Mon Nov 11 201300:01Corey Brewer posts well-rounded line vs. L.A.
Corey Brewer posted an efficient, well-rounded line on Sunday with 17 points on 6-of-9 shooting, one 3-pointer, three assists, four steals and two blocks.
Chase Budinger's knee surgery thrust Brewer into the starting SF spot and he's taking full advantage, averaging a career-high 13.8 points per game. Budinger may soon rejoin the team after rehabbing in Florida but he remains without a return date, so owners can happily keep Brewer plugged into active lineups.

Sat Nov 9 201303:29Brewer scores 17 points in 37 minutes
Corey Brewer scored 17 points in a whopping 37 minutes on Friday, hitting 7-of-14 shots from the field (including a three) to go with three rebounds and four assists.
Brewer profiles as a late-round value while Chase Budinger is out and with Budinger possibly joining the team next week the clock is ticking.

Thu Nov 7 201301:27Corey Brewer starting to get hot for MIN
Corey Brewer scored in double-figures for the third consecutive game on Wednesday with 18 points, while adding one rebound and one 3-pointer in 33 minutes.
It was his second game in a row in which he made all three free throw attempts, as well. Brewer is a great fit for the Wolves with the way he runs up and down the court and he's getting some easy transition buckets. He created a bit of separation from the other small forwards and would have some fantasy value at a 33-minute clip, but his upside won't be too high considering his lackluster shooting percentages.

Mon Nov 4 201323:18Brewer scores 13 points with six steals
Corey Brewer scored 13 points on 5-of-12 shooting (no threes) with three rebounds and six steals in 38 minutes on Monday.
Brewer's owners shouldn't be getting comfortable with Chase Budinger's return looming, but until then he's a viable low-end option for fantasy squads.

Sun Nov 3 201322:42Corey Brewer scores 10 points in start
Corey Brewer shot 3-of-8 from the field for 10 points with two boards, one assist, one stean and no turnovers on 24 minutes.
Derrick Williams played just 21 minutes and the two seem like they'll be sharing most of the minutes at the small forward spot. Brewer's shooting woes will likely keep him from standard-league consideration.

Thu Oct 31 201301:49Corey Brewer scores 16 in start at SF
Corey Brewer started at small forward and hit 7-of-11 shots and a 3-pointer on his way to 16 points, three rebounds, two assists and three steals in Wednesday's overtime win.
Brewer has never been much of an offensive force but looked very good tonight. He earned himself more starts with this performance and owners in deeper leagues should take notice.

Wed Oct 30 201318:58Corey Brewer will start at small forward
Corey Brewer will start at small forward for the Wolves on Wednesday.
While coach Rick Adelman toyed with the idea of Derrick Williams as the starter in the preseason, Brewer was always considered as the favorite. He's a nice fit next to fellow smalls Ricky Rubio and Kevin Martin, so the Wolves could improve in fast-break points. Brewer's lack of shooting efficiency keeps him from standard-league consideration for now.

Sun Sep 29 201309:42Corey Brewer may start at SF for Wolves
With Chase Budinger (left knee surgery) likely sidelined to begin the season, Corey Brewer may start at SF for the Wolves.
Minnesota could also start Derrick Williams, who has trimmed his weight to 235 pounds, but that seems unlikely. Beat writer Jerry Zgoda goes as far as to say, "Even with Budinger healthy, Brewer ... probably is the favorite because he's the defender with the best chance against the opponent's best wing player." Brewer should get off to a nice start this year, but fantasy owners should anticipate a dip in playing time whenever Budinger returns to the court.

Wed Aug 21 201316:58Corey Brewer's weight now up to 194 lbs
Corey Brewer's weight has increased to 194 pounds.
Brewer is a lean 6'8" and we're not expecting his game to change in his 6th NBA season. His open-court speed is his greatest asset and he has enough defensive tenacity and 3-point range to be a compelling backup SF behind Chase Budinger this season, but he's rather limited for fantasy purposes.

Fri Jul 12 201308:58Corey Brewer has a player option in third yr
Corey Brewer has a player option in the third year of his contract.
He agreed to a three-year, $15 million deal with the Wolves on Wednesday. Brewer should see plenty of minutes at small forward and could also help push the tempo with the team's second unit. Although, his low field goal percentage will make him a tough player to target late in drafts.

Wed Jul 10 201316:53Report: Brewer-to-Timberwolves deal done
The deal that will land Corey Brewer with the Timberwolves is "done," a source tells Yahoo! Sports' Marc J. Spears.
Brewer and the Wolves were reportedly "closing in on" a three-year contract earlier Wednesday. His deal is part of a larger, more complicated deal that should also officially land Kevin Martin in Minnesota as part of a sign-and-trade. The latest incarnation reportedly send Luke Ridnour to Milwaukee and give the Thunder a trade exception for Martin's contract. We'll update you as soon as we know anything more official.

Wed Jul 10 201313:42Report: Wolves close to 3-year deal w/ Brewer
The Timberwolves are "closing in on" a three-year contract with free agent G/F Corey Brewer.
Minnesota may be losing Andrei Kirilenko to free agency, but they've still upgraded their wing positions this summer by landing Kevin Martin, re-signing Chase Budinger, and now adding Brewer. Once signed, he will likely backup both wing positions as the Wolves' sixth-man, though we expect to see the speedy Brewer paired with Ricky Rubio as often as possible. The deal is believed to be worth around $15 million, and it may involve a sign-and-trade with Denver.

Wed Jul 10 201303:40Corey Brewer unlikely to remain in Denver
Free agent Corey Brewer is unlikely to remain with the Nuggets.
This comes from Adrian Wojnarowski who adds that there are several teams interested in Brewer, with the Wolves having the most smoke surrounding them at this time.

Tue Jul 9 201313:20Report: Wolves in contact w/ Corey Brewer
The Timberwolves have spoken with representatives for FA Corey Brewer.
Chase Budinger is presumptive starting SF for the Wolves, with Shabazz Muhammad developing in a bench role, but with Andrei Kirilenko gone the Wolves could use a bit of insurance on the wings. Brewer spent his first four seasons with Minnesota and he's a menace in the open court, which seems like a nice fit alongside Ricky Rubio and co., but reporter Darren Wolfson is "not sure if anything is imminent."

Wed Jul 3 201309:50Rockets eyeing Brewer, J.R. Smith, Delfino
The Rockets reportedly have interest in unrestricted FA Corey Brewer, as well as J.R. Smith and Carlos Delfino.
Nothing is likely to happen with these guys until Dwight Howard chooses his next team, however, at which point the dominoes should fall quickly. Brewer should command a salary in the range of $5 million per year, and Smith could draw an even bigger offer from a team like the Bucks or Pistons. It's unclear how much it would cost to re-sign Delfino, whom the Rockets waived to clear cap space for pursuing Dwight.

Fri May 3 201314:57Corey Brewer a candidates for the MLE
The Denver Post considers impending unrestricted free agent Corey Brewer a candidate for the mid-level exception.
Brewer was a valuable reserve for the Nuggets this season, playing in all 82 games and averaging 12.1 points, 2.9 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.1 3-pointers. The mid-level exception would be worth $5.1M per season, signifying a raise on his 2012-13 salary of $3.2M. Brewer has starting-caliber talent and projects as one of the league's sleepers in free agency this summer.
