Tue Apr 30 201309:56Corey Brewer could start at SG in Game 5
Corey Brewer could start at shooting guard on Tuesday in a must-win Game 5 vs. Golden State.
Brewer started the second half of the Game 4 loss in place of Evan Fournier, but George Karl hasn't revealed his starting lineup for the do-or-die game. We wouldn't be surprised to see Brewer in the starting lineup, but it would weaken the Nuggets bench.

Sun Apr 14 201320:31Corey Brewer cools off in win vs. Portland
Corey Brewer cooled off with just seven points, five rebounds and three assists in 21 minutes vs. the Blazers on Sunday.
Andre Iguodala and Evan Fournier were on fire as the starting SF and SG, respectively, which limited Brewer's opportunities off the bench. He averaged better than 20 points in his previous four games and should bounce back against Milwaukee on Monday.

Sun Apr 7 201300:03Corey Brewer leads Denver w/ 22 points
Corey Brewer came off the bench for 22 points, two 3-pointers, three assists and one steal in 29 minutes on Saturday, as Denver rolled to a 132-114 win vs. the Nuggets.
Brewer has exploded since Danilo Gallinari blew out his ACL on Thursday, and he's a must-own player even though Wilson Chandler (21 points) is now starting at SF. In just 24 minutes per game this year, he's averaging a healthy 11.9 points, 1.1 threes and 1.4 steals.

Thu Apr 4 201323:50Corey Brewer scores 23 points vs. Dallas
Corey Brewer started the second half on Thursday for the injured Danilo Gallinari (knee), finishing with 23 points, two boards, two steals, one block and two 3-pointers in 35 minutes against the Mavericks.
Brewer stuck it to his former team that essentially cut him to save salary in the offseason. His fantasy value is surging with Gallinari leaving the arena on crutches and with a huge brace on his left knee. It almost seems certain that Gallo would miss the rest of the season and Brewer is likely to take over as the starter the rest of the way. He's a must-own player in standard leagues.

Thu Apr 4 201322:30Corey Brewer starts the second half
Corey Brewer started the second half of Thursday's game against the Mavericks.
Danilo Gallinari suffered a horrific knee injury in the first half and there's a very serious chance that he misses the rest of the season. Brewer should be picked up in all standard leagues while Wilson Chandlers makes a ton of sense with Evan Fournier also worth a look in deep leagues.

Sun Mar 24 201300:41Corey Brewer flops w/ two points vs. Kings
Corey Brewer had four assists, three steals and two blocks in Saturday's victory, but he scored just two points on 1-of-8 shooting.
The Nuggets' sparkplug scored a season-high 29 points on Thursday, so naturally he followed that up with this dud. He's been very consistent for the past few months and Wilson Chandler (shoulder) won't play on Monday, so don't let tonight's off-shooting scare you away from using Brewer.

Fri Mar 22 201300:11Corey Brewer has career-high 29 points vs PHI
Corey Brewer scored a career-high 29 points with one board, five steals and five 3-pointers in 33 minutes against the Sixers on Thursday.
He was fouled on a 3-pointer by Damien Wilkins with 2.1 seconds left and made all three to give Denver the lead for good. The Nuggets extended their winning streak to 14 games and their playing some of the best basketball in the NBA this side of the Miami Heat. Brewer benefited from Wilson Chandler being out and with Chandler expected to miss more time, he's worth a long look in standard leagues.

Tue Mar 12 201300:53Brewer scores 20 points off the bench
Corey Brewer scored 20 points off the bench on Monday, hitting 7-of-16 shots (including two threes) with three rebounds and three steals in 26 minutes.
This is what it looks like when Brewer is 'on,' and he has been hot enough to start in standard formats over the past two weeks, but in reality he's a deep league guy. By the time a standard league owner can get Brewer into their lineups he's just about ready to go cold.

Sat Mar 9 201323:48Corey Brewer scores 15 points to lead bench
Corey Brewer scored 15 points with two assists and two steals to lead the bench on Saturday, helping the Nuggets win their 13th consecutive home game.
Denver is now riding their longest home win streak since 1989. Their depth is remarkable and the second unit features plenty of guys who could start for other teams -- Brewer, Andre Miller, Wilson Chandler and JaVale McGee. They were so effective tonight that Andre Iguodala and Ty Lawson were the only starters to play more than 28 minutes.

Sat Mar 9 201318:39Corey Brewer assessed a flop warning
Corey Brewer was assessed a flop warning from Thursday's game against the Clippers.
It's the first flop warning since January 25 and the NBA has successfully cracked down on the violations. Brewer doesn't have much value in standard leagues with Denver's depth on the wing, especially with Wilson Chandler playing well.

Corey Brewer scored 22 points on 11-of-20 shooting (no threes) with four rebounds, three assists and two steals in 28 minutes off the bench on Monday.

Corey Brewer scored 14 points with five steals in 25 minutes off the bench on Friday.
Brewer hit 7-of-13 shots and chipped in with two rebounds and three assists, and is only worth a look in deeper formats.

Tue Feb 12 201322:02Corey Brewer disappoints in 28 minutes
Corey Brewer shot 3-of-11 from the field in a start at small forward on Tuesday, scoring nine points with one assist and one 3-pointer against Toronto.
He got into foul trouble early, which has been a thorn in his side lately. Brewer leads all small forwards that average at least 20.0 minutes per game in fouls per 48 minutes in February. He should still get a chance to perform on Wednesday and is worth a look as a spot-start vs. Brooklyn.

Tue Feb 5 201323:53Corey Brewer scores 20 points in win
Corey Brewer hit 6-of-13 shots and a 3-pointer for 20 points, four rebounds, one assist and two steals in 27 minutes of Tuesday's win.
Brewer is quietly averaging 13.2 points, 1.6 steals and 1.2 3-pointers over his last five games, and has scored between nine and 20 points over his last four games. He's seen between 20 and 30 minutes in those four games and as long as the minutes stay there going forward, he's worth a look in most fantasy leagues, despite coming off the bench.

Sun Jan 20 201323:33Corey Brewer scores 26 points vs. OKC
Corey Brewer scored 26 points as Denver snapped OKC's six-game win streak on Sunday -- he made 9-of-17 FGs with three 3-pointers, six rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block.
Andre Iguodala may have been limited by a hard fall, but either way this is a fluky performance from Brewer, whose solid bench play has earned him borderline value in roto leagues. The 34 minutes were a season-high.

Sat Jan 19 201302:09Corey Brewer and Andre Miller score 17 each
Corey Brewer shot 7-of-14 from the field for 17 points to go with two rebounds, three assists, three steals and two 3-pointers in 28 minutes.
He's extremely inconsistent and had just 5.0 points per game in his previous four games. Wilson Chandler coming back isn't going to help him either, so he's only worth owning in deep leagues. Andre Miller also had 17 points with five boards and one assist in the loss, but he's been able to maintain value in standard leagues even with Ty Lawson playing better.

Sat Jan 12 201301:58Brewer goes scoreless off the bench
Corey Brewer went hitless on six field goal attempts on Friday, scoring zero points with two rebounds, four assists, and a steal in 16 minutes off the bench.
Brewer is worth a look when he gets hot, but he's much too inconsistent for use in standard formats most of the time.

Thu Jan 10 201301:21Brewer benefits from a smaller lineup
Corey Brewer benefited from the Nuggets going small on Wednesday with 16 points, four rebounds, two assists and one block in 28 minutes against the Magic.
His season averages of 11.3 points, 1.4 triples and 1.2 steals in just 23.7 minutes make for some of the better per-minute production in the league, but his shot is regressing back to his old ways, shooting only 39 percent in his last 11 games. Standard owners should be able to do better than Brewer.

Fri Jan 4 201300:13Corey Brewer scores 12 in 29 minutes
Corey Brewer played 29 minutes in Thursday's 101-97 loss to the Wolves on Thursday and had 12 points, three boards, three assists, two steals, one block and one 3-pointer.
This was Brewer's third game in a row scoring in double figures while providing some defensive stats and taking 3-pointers. Ty Lawson isn't quite back and full strength and Brewer played 28.7 minutes per game in his last three games, so he's worth a look in some deeper formats.

Sat Dec 29 201203:27Brewer goes hitless on six shot attempts
Corey Brewer missed all six of his field goal attempts on Friday, finishing with zero points, four rebounds, one assist, and two steals in 22 minutes off the bench.
Yuck. We doubt this changes Brewer's overall value too much, but it certainly means he can be dropped for a hot free agent. He's more of a 14-16 team guy in 8- and 9-cat formats.
