Fri Dec 6 201310:47Brandon Jennings playing heavy minutes
With both Will Bynum (hip) and Chauncey Billups (knee) sidelined, Brandon Jennings has played back-to-back 40-plus minute games.
Head coach Maurice Cheeks said about Jennings' minutes, "He's a young player. They can play 40-plus minutes. We'll get his minutes down, put [Peyton] Siva in there in the first half a little bit, but I certainly want Brandon closing the games." Jennings is off to a pretty decent start this season, despite his awful percentages from the field, averaging a career-high 8.4 assists, hitting 1.6 treys, and grabbing 1.6 steals per game. It appears he has embraced more of a point guard role this year, and that could be due to the fact he finally has talent around him.

Thu Dec 5 201300:56Brandon Jennings plays okay in win vs. Bucks
Brandon Jennings heard his share of boos in his return to Milwaukee on Wednesday, scoring 17 points with two boards, 11 assists, three steals, one block, two 3-pointers and six turnovers in a 105-98 win.
He couldn't get his shot to fall, but the double-double with some steals and 3-pointers made this a worthwhile game for Jennings. He shot 4-of-16 from the field and dropped his season field goal percentage to 38.2 percent, but at least he's been dynamite in points, assists, steals and 3-pointers.

Tue Dec 3 201322:57Brandon Jennings does it all in win over Heat
Brandon Jennings hit 5-of-9 shots and two 3-pointers for 15 points, four rebounds, five assists and four steals in Tuesday's impressive win over the Heat.
He also had seven turnovers, but is playing like one of the league's top point guards right now, averaging 16.2 points, 8.6 assists, 1.4 steals and 2.0 3-pointers on 46 percent shooting over his last five, making him a must-start in fantasy.

Sun Dec 1 201318:36Brandon Jennings keeps it going Sunday
Brandon Jennings had another double-double in Sunday's 115-110 win over the Sixers with 20 points, 12 assists, six boards and three 3-pointers on 7-of-16 shooting.
That puts him at 9.1 assists per game over his last 11 games and he's embracing his role as the point guard. The Pistons lead the NBA in points in the paint and the presence of Andre Drummond and Greg Monroe down low has really helped. Jennings has seven double-doubles this season.

Wed Nov 27 201309:58Brandon Jennings balancing scoring, assists
Brandon Jennings admitted that he's still learning how to balance his scoring and playmaking with the Pistons.
"There's been times where I've been getting so many guys involved, I kind of forget to score sometimes," Jennings said. "That's been what's kind of messing up my rhythm a little bit. I've got to try to find a way to not go five minutes, 10 minutes without taking a shot." He finished Monday's game with 15 points, four 3-pointers and 13 assists, and has now reached double-digit assists in three straight games.

Mon Nov 25 201323:18Brandon Jennings double-doubles vs. Bucks
Brandon Jennings stuck it to his former team in the blowout 113-94 win against the Bucks on Monday, shooting 5-of-10 from the field for 15 points with two boards, 13 assists, two steals and four 3-pointers in 36 minutes.
The game was over by halftime and Jennings probably played a little bit longer than he should have, but he and the Bucks didn't exactly part on good terms. He didn't have any double-doubles in his last 15 games including the playoffs back with the Bucks, but Jennings has four in his 12 games with the Pistons. His move to the Motor City looks like it's going to help his fantasy value, especially in assists.

Sun Nov 24 201317:55Brandon Jennings double-doubles in win
Brandon Jennings shot 2-of-10 from the field in a double-double performance against the Nets on Sunday, scoring 14 points with 10 assists, two rebounds, one steal and three turnovers in 41 minutes.
He shot 0-of-6 in the first half, but his coach gave him a pass due to his assist total. "That's the mark of a good player. He played a full game," Mo Cheeks said. Jennings has never really been much of a shooter and that's probably not going to change even though he has some better talent around him. However, he's establishing some rapport with his forwards and should have a nice amount of double-doubles this season.

Sat Nov 23 201312:50Brandon Jennings:
Brandon Jennings said he has "no confidence" in his shot.
Despite taking 16.3 field goal attempts per game, Jennings is averaging a meager 15.9 points. That and his 37.4 percent shooting from the field are his lowest totals since his rookie year. Fantasy owners can nonetheless find a silver lining in Jennings' 7.8 assists per game, by far the highest average of his career. He has more offensive weapons at his disposal than ever before, but until he gets his confidence back he will have a lot of up-and-down nights.

Sat Nov 23 201300:43Brandon Jennings has 14 assists in loss
Brandon Jennings matched his season-high 14 assists on Friday with eight points, two rebounds, one steal and five turnovers on 4-of-16 shooting.
He's in one of his patented shooting funks and made just 35.5 percent from the field over his last five games. On the bright side, Jennings averaged 10.0 assists and 1.6 triples in that span, so he's been able to negate all those misses. His fantasy owners should expect more lines like this one for the rest of the season.

Wed Nov 20 201319:00Brandon Jennings in the starting lineup
Brandon Jennings will start against the Hawks.
He had an upset stomach on Tuesday and was limited to just 27 minutes. Rodney Stuckey turned in a nice game with the added opportunity, so it should be interesting to see how the two can co-exist tonight. Jennings should be safe to put back into lineups.

Tue Nov 19 201322:49Brandon Jennings struggles with stomach bug
Brandon Jennings was in and out of the lineup on Tuesday with a stomach illness and hit just 1-of-3 shots for two points, seven assists, a block and a turnover in 27 minutes.
The fact he battled through the illness was impressive and it's tough to bag on him when he probably shouldn't have even been playing. Consider him questionable for Wednesday against the Hawks.

Mon Nov 18 201300:25Jennings dishes 14 assists, scores 23 points
Brandon Jennings scored 23 points and handed out a season-high 14 assists on Sunday, including a gorgeous off-the-backboard pass which Andre Drummond slammed home in the second quarter.
Jennings' lightning-quick alley-oop will be a staple on SportsCenter, and it's nice to see him piling up double-digit dimes for the second time this season. Fantasy owners got lucky, as Jennings salvaged his scoring numbers with a barrage of late 3-pointers once the game was out of reach, finishing 4-of-8 from deep with five rebounds, three assists and zero steals. Low FG percentages have always been a bugaboo for Jennings, and this year is no exception -- his 38.2 percent shooting is the second-lowest mark since his rookie campaign.

Tue Nov 12 201316:15Brandon Jennings to look for shot more often
After attempting 24 shots during Monday's loss, Brandon Jennings said that he intends to look for his shots more aggressively going forward.
"[I've been] trying to please everybody, trying to make sure I was being a pass-first point guard instead of just playing basketball," Jennings said. "If the shot's there, I'm going to take it. If not, then I'm going to pass it." Mo Cheeks didn't feel like Jennings was forcing his shots on Monday and this should be considered good news for fantasy owners who can stomach low FG percentages.

Sat Nov 9 201301:36Brandon Jennings has best game as a Piston
Brandon Jennings had the best game of his Pistons career on Friday with 22 points, five boards, 11 assists, four steals and four 3-pointers in 35 minutes against the Thunder.
In true Jennings fashion, he shot 7-of-17 from the field. Jennings has 10 steals in his three games with the team and he's been more aggresive on defense, which makes sense considering the defensive prowess of the guys behind him. Jennings probably won't increase his 39.4 percent from the field over his career, but he should be a nice contributor in points, threes, assists and steals.

Tue Nov 5 201317:59Brandon Jennings to start w/ Chauncey Billups
Brandon Jennings will start alongside Chauncey Billups for the Pistons on Tuesday.
Mo Cheeks decided to keep Billups in the starting five ahead of Rodney Stuckey, but that may be subject to change as the season progresses. Jennings had 14 points, three rebounds, four assists and four steals in 31 minutes in his season debut and belongs in all active lineups.

Mon Nov 4 201309:22Brandon Jennings (jaw) is 'ready to go'
Brandon Jennings (jaw) took off his protective mask during Sunday's game and said that he's "ready to play now."
The Pistons only play twice this week, which hampers Jennings' immediate appeal, but he's healthy and ready for the rest of the season. He should resume starting PG duties very soon, possibly on Tuesday vs. the Pacers.

Sun Nov 3 201321:33Brandon Jennings logs 31 minutes in return
Brandon Jennings (fractured jaw) made his Pistons debut on Sunday with 14 points, one 3-pointer, three rebounds, four assists and four steals, logging 31 minutes off the bench.
Jennings is coming off a lengthy absence and he's still unable to chew properly, which limits him to eating soft foods, but it shouldn't be long before playing big minutes as a starter. The bad news for fantasy owners is that Detroit only plays twice this upcoming week, Tuesday and Friday, which makes Jennings a shaky play in weekly lineups.

Sun Nov 3 201316:34Brandon Jennings will play, won't start Sun.
Brandon Jennings (mouth) will come off the bench in his Pistons debut on Sunday.
He was back at practice on Saturday and should be close to 100 percent. Jennings played 36.2 minutes per game last year, but he likely won't be close to that amount in his first game with his new team. The Pistons have been running a slower tempo so far this year, but that may change as Jennings becomes acclimated to the new system. Will Bynum will start on Sunday.
