Wed Mar 26 201407:47Eagles noncommittal on D-Jax's future
Eagles coach Chip Kelly remained noncommittal on DeSean Jackson's future in Philadelphia at the league meetings Wednesday.
Jackson emerged upbeat from a recent meeting with Kelly, but the feeling may not be mutual. "I like DeSean, but we are going to do what's best for the team," Kelly stated. There's still a reasonable chance the Eagles wind up releasing Jackson, but for now they're hoping to recoup something in a trade.

Tue Mar 25 201412:01Report: D-Jax tells teammates he'll be back
The Philadelphia Inquirer reports DeSean Jackson texted and called a few teammates on Tuesday to inform them that he'll be back with the Eagles in 2014.
Early Tuesday morning, Jackson tweeted that he spoke with coach Chip Kelly: "Good to Talk to BIg Chip today !! Say or hear what ya want !!" It's reportedly the first time the two have spoken since the end of the season, and it appears the Eagles and/or Jackson may have had a change of heart regarding the situation in Philly. We doubt Jackson has agreed or will agree to a pay cut, but the Eagles, who are in win-now mode, may put up with their outspoken receiver for another season. Coach Kelly will speak with the media on Wednesday.

Mon Mar 24 201414:01Report: Eagles made D-Jax decision last month
A source close to the team tells Philly.com the Eagles decided to move on from DeSean Jackson "well over a month ago."
The smoke that D-Jax is done in Philly is thicker than ever. It's odd timing with Jackson coming off a career year in coach Chip Kelly's offense, but the sides are clearly headed for a divorce, perhaps as early as this week.

Mon Mar 24 201411:12Report: 49ers very interested in DeSean
According to ProFootballTalk, the 49ers are "very interested" in DeSean Jackson.
Predictably, GM Trent Baalke's denial on this matter carries little weight. The Niners have been aggressively trying to upgrade their receiving corps this offseason, as they reportedly pursued free agents Golden Tate, Julian Edelman and Hakeem Nicks. Jackson, a California native who played his college ball at Cal, would bring a long speed dimension to a unit that currently features possession guys in Michael Crabtree and Anquan Boldin. The Eagles' asking price on D-Jax is likely sinking as they've exposed their hand. No one around the league believes there's any way he's back in Philly.

Mon Mar 24 201410:23Panthers not expected to go after Jackson
ESPN Panthers reporter David Newton says Carolina won't have interest in DeSean Jackson even if the Eagles release him.

Mon Mar 24 201407:48Report: Seahawks have 'no interest' in D-Jax
A source tells ProFootballTalk.com that the Seahawks have "no interest at all" in DeSean Jackson.
This report suggests that even if Jackson gets released, Seattle will pass. It shouldn't be a surprise given the $67 million they committed to Percy Harvin last year and the expensive negotiations looming with their core of Russell Wilson, Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas. Meanwhile, NFL Network reported Monday that the Raiders are "not inclined" to trade for Jackson because they're unwilling to part with draft picks. It's not going to be easy for the Eagles to find a team to surrender a third-round pick for the right to pay Jackson $10.7 million in 2014.

Sun Mar 23 201417:12Jets owner: We're 'looking at' DeSean Jackson
Owner Woody Johnson acknowledged at the league meetings in Orlando Sunday that the Jets are "looking at" DeSean Jackson.
Johnson's comments could be construed as tampering because Jackson remains under contract with Philadelphia, but it's hard to imagine the NFL doing anything about that. "We're looking at a number of players, including DeSean," stated Johnson, who seems to be getting anxious after his club missed the playoffs in back-to-back seasons. "I'm not going to use the word patient anymore," he added, referring to winning. "We want to do it now." Jackson and Eric Decker would give the Jets a formidable wideout duo for new quarterback Michael Vick.

Sun Mar 23 201413:1949ers GM denies DeSean Jackson report
49ers GM Trent Baalke is denying reports San Francisco contacted the Eagles about DeSean Jackson's availability.
"Right now, he's under contract with the Philadelphia Eagles," Baalke said Sunday. "We've not made any contact with the Eagles relative to a trade for DeSean Jackson." CBS Sports reported Saturday that the 49ers had already shown interest in D-Jax. "As of this moment, those reports are totally misleading and false," Baalke continued. The 49ers showed interest in Hakeem Nicks, Golden Tate, Julian Edelman, Emmanuel Sanders, and Devin Hester in free agency. We'd be surprised if they weren't interested in Jackson.

Sun Mar 23 201410:03Report: Jets interested in DeSean Jackson
ESPN New York reports the Jets have a "measured interest" in DeSean Jackson that will "intensify if he's released."
This is likely the case with all of the clubs interested in Jackson. Nobody wants to take on his $10.7 million for 2014. Jackson has three years and $30 million left on his current deal and is unwilling to renegotiate. With Michael Vick now in the fold and the Jets starved for playmakers, they'd make plenty of sense as a landing spot for Jackson. Gang Green also has a ton of cap room.

Sat Mar 22 201418:47Chiefs unlikely to make run at DeSean Jackson
The Kansas City Star doesn't expect the Chiefs to pursue DeSean Jackson unless he's released.
The Chiefs have a major need at wideout opposite Dwayne Bowe, but don't have the cap room to afford Jackson at his current salary. Jackson, of course, has ties to Andy Reid and would give Kansas City a vertical threat they desperately lacked in 2013. The Jets, Raiders, Panthers, 49ers and Seahawks have all been linked to Jackson and appear to be better landing spots.

Sat Mar 22 201415:02Jets won't trade for Jackson at current price
The New York Post reports the Jets have interest in DeSean Jackson, but "not at his current price."
The Eagles are actively shopping Jackson, but his unwillingness to restructure make any potential deal unlikely. Trade talks for Jackson are expected to intensify at this week's league meetings, with the Jets, Panthers, 49ers and Seahawks among the teams that have expressed interest. Jackson is owed $10.7 million in 2014 and could ultimately be released.

Sat Mar 22 201414:34Report: Seahawks, 49ers show interest in DJax
CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports the Seahawks and 49ers are "among the teams" showing interest in DeSean Jackson.
La Canfora confirms Philly has "stepped up efforts" to deal Jackson, "shopping him to several teams." La Canfora also reports "several" NFL general managers expect the Eagles to ultimately release D-Jax. Seattle and San Francisco both currently lack cap space to absorb Jackson's $10.7 million, but could fit him in if he's released and does a new deal. La Canfora reports Jackson trade talks "are expected to intensify" at this week's league meetings in Orlando.

Sat Mar 22 201411:37Jackson not interested in restructuring deal
New York Daily New's Manish Mehta reports DeSean Jackson is unwilling to restructure the $10.5 million he is scheduled to make in 2014.
Manish added a source told him, "Philly is trading him or cutting him. That's a fact. They don't want him." Cutting Jackson would save the Eagles around $6 million against the cap this season and, more importantly, about $11 million against the 2015 cap. The Eagles would obviously much rather trade Jackson, but his unwillingness to restructure and the Eagles' intention to cut him make a trade unlikely. The Jets and Panthers would lead the chase if/when Jackson is released.

Fri Mar 21 201419:25Eagles intensifying efforts to trade Jackson
The Philadelphia Inquirer's Jeff McLane reports the Eagles have "intensified efforts" to trade DeSean Jackson in the last week.

Fri Mar 21 201416:44Report: DeSean Jax thinks he's done in Philly
Eagles beat reporter Tim McManus reports DeSean Jackson believes he "will not be back" in Philadelphia for 2014.
McManus reported this after speaking to "two sources close to DeSean." Jackson clearly seems to be on the trade block after a Charlotte Observer report early Friday claimed the Eagles had "reached out" to the Panthers to gauge their interest in the 27-year-old wideout. Trading Jackson will be difficult due to his $10.7 million in scheduled salary and bonuses, but he's an explosive playmaker who will generate interest. In his first season under Chip Kelly, D-Jax set career highs in catches (82) and receiving yards (1,332), scoring nine touchdowns.

Fri Mar 21 201413:36Report: Eagles contacted Panthers about D-Jax
The Charlotte Observer reports the Eagles "informally reached out" to the Panthers about their interest in DeSean Jackson.
Previous reports indicated teams were inquiring about Jackson. This one claims the Eagles are taking the initiative. The Panthers currently have just $5 million in salary cap space, while Jackson's scheduled pay is $10.7 million in salary and bonuses. The Observer does not expect the Panthers to become serious players in the D-Jax sweepstakes. Still, this report should fuel increasing speculation that Jackson has played his final down in an Eagles uniform.

Thu Mar 20 201421:18Report: Raiders, Panthers inquire on D-Jax
NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports the Panthers and Raiders have also inquired on DeSean Jackson.
They join the Jets, 49ers and Patriots as teams known to have looked in on the Eagles' No. 1 receiver. Predictably, the Eagles have denied that D-Jax is on the block, but at the very least, teams think he can be had. It's still possible the Eagles aren't actively shopping Jackson, but simply taking calls on his availability. Jackson's odds of remaining in Philly are looking no better than 50-50.

Thu Mar 20 201417:07Report: Jets have inquired on DeSean Jackson
NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports the Jets have "inquired" on DeSean Jackson.
Most teams will be inquiring on one of the league's best receivers, but as RapSheet points, New York's inquiry comes in tandem with Michael Vick's visit. There have been conflicting reports on Jackson's Philly future, but it's pretty clear the Eagles are at least listening to the phone calls. With or without Vick, the Jets would make sense as a landing spot. Gang Green is starved for playmakers.

Thu Mar 20 201409:09Report: 'No way' DeSean Jax stays with Eagles
One person close to DeSean Jackson told the Allentown Morning Call that there's "no way" Jackson will return to the Eagles in 2014.
There have been so many conflicting reports on the Eagles' feelings about D-Jax that it's hard to know what to believe. "There is no way he's an Eagle this year," the person close to Jackson said. "However it leaked out, it leaked out, and now this is what you have." Eagles beat writer Nick Fierro predicts "Jackson is out of here for sure, and long before the NFL draft too." Appearing on Sirius XM Radio Thursday morning, ESPN's Sal Paolantonio told host Ross Tucker that "DeSean Jackson's act is wearing thin with Chip Kelly."
