Tue Mar 18 201419:38Report: D-Jax would be 'really hurt' by trade
A source close to DeSean Jackson tells the Philadelphia Daily News that D-Jax wants to finish his career with the Eagles, and would be "really hurt" if he were traded for "no reason."
There have been rumblings that Jackson is an ill fit for Chip Kelly's locker room, but he apparently doesn't see it that way. D-Jax made noise about wanting a new contract in January, but has otherwise avoided controversy this offseason. We don't doubt that the Eagles are listening to offers, but they're unlikely to find a trade partner.

Tue Mar 18 201419:15Report: Niners 'aren't interested' in D-Jax
NFL.com's Albert Breer reports the 49ers "aren't interested" in DeSean Jackson.
CSN Philly reported Tuesday that the Eagles had "taken inquiries" on D-Jax's availability from the 49ers and Patriots. It's quite possible both reports are true. Inquiring as to a player's status is hardly unusual, or a sign that a trade is imminent. The 49ers likely called, didn't like what they heard and moved on. D-Jax would be hard to fit under the cap in San Francisco.

Wed Mar 5 201418:57Report: Eagles won't release or trade D-Jax
The Philadelphia Inquirer reports DeSean Jackson "isn't close to being cut," and the Eagles "aren't actively shopping" him.
Beat writer Jeff McLane tweeted that the "rumors have little weight," and "the madness needed to be stopped." McLane's colleague at the Inquirer, Jimmy Kempski, got the ball rolling on the Jackson rumors last weekend, saying "some in the organization" don't believe Jackson's personality is a fit and the Eagles "could be open to trading him." Obviously, Kempski wasn't saying Jackson was going to be traded. But these rumors have taken off a bit in recent days. Jackson is coming off a career season and is the only outside big-play threat in Philadelphia. He'll be back for another season with coach Chip Kelly.

Sun Mar 2 201414:00Report: Eagles 'could be open' to D-Jax trade
Philly.com's Jimmy Kempski reports there is an "opinion among some in the Eagles' organization" that DeSean Jackson's personality is "not a great fit" with the team's locker room culture, and the Eagles "could be open to trading him."
This isn't the first whisper of a possible D-Jax trade. Per Kempski, the Eagles are "not going to shop Jackson" because doing so would cost them leverage, but "if another team came calling, the Eagles certainly wouldn't laugh and hang up." Even if the odds remain low that Jackson will be shipped off, they grew when the Eagles re-signed Riley Cooper and Jeremy Maclin. Philly also has an excellent tight end group, and Damaris Johnson, Jeff Maehl, and Arrelious Benn as wideout depth.

Thu Jan 9 201410:23Report: Eagles unlikely to redo D-Jax's deal
A source tells the Philadelphia Inquirer that the Eagles are unlikely to restructure DeSean Jackson's contract this offseason.
As expected. The Eagles hold all the cards in this situation as Jackson just signed a five-year, $48.2 million deal 22 months ago. So even though D-Jax is coming off a career-best season, he's going to have to play out 2014 for his $10.25 base salary -- a figure that includes just $250,000 guaranteed. He has no guaranteed money in his 2015 and 2016 salaries either. It's a little scary for fantasy owners as the financially focused Jackson alligator armed balls at every chance he got when he unhappy with his contract back in 2011.

Mon Jan 6 201411:58DeSean Jackson wants a raise from the Eagles
DeSean Jackson said Monday he wants the Eagles to renegotiate his contract and give him a raise.
In March of 2012, Jackson signed a five-year, $48.2 million contract that included $15 million guaranteed. He's owed $10.25 million in 2014 base salary and a total of $30.5 million in salary plus workout bonuses over the next three years. But as he comes off a career-best season, he wants more. "I definitely feel like it's deserving," Jackson said. "I'm proven in this league, and after this past year, went out there, no distractions, and just really put it all in for my team and went out there and had a lot of success, so we'll see how it goes." D-Jax has absolutely no leverage here. He's being compensated at a rate in line with the elite players at his position and is under contract through 2016. Skipping OTAs and minicamps won't do anyone any good.

Sun Jan 5 201401:58DeSean Jackson gets going after Lewis leaves
DeSean Jackson caught three passes for 53 yards in Saturday's Wild Card loss to the Saints.
Jackson was getting absolutely shut down by Keenan Lewis early on, posting zero catches in the first half. Then Lewis suffered a head injury and the floodgates opened. D-Jax immediately caught a 40-yard bomb on Corey White and later drew a 40-yard pass interference call on White that led to the go-ahead score with under five minutes left. It wraps a season that saw Jackson finally put it all together and become more than just a vertical streaker. He set career-highs in catches (82), yards (1,332) and touchdowns (9) while grading out as Pro Football Focus' No. 7 wideout. There's always going to be week-to-week inconsistency with Jackson because he's not a physical chain mover, but few receivers have more upside with Nick Foles and Chip Kelly in place. D-Jax will be a borderline WR1 in 2014 fantasy drafts.

Mon Dec 30 201301:04DeSean Jackson held to three catches
DeSean Jackson had three catches for 28 yards in Sunday night's Week 17 win over the Cowboys.
Jackson had just four targets and was held under 30 yards for the second straight week. He couldn't get anything going downfield against the Cowboys and was stopped just short of the goal-line on a five-yard catch at the end of the third quarter. Jackson finishes the regular season with a career-high 82 receptions for 1,332 yards and nine touchdowns. With the win, the Eagles will take on the Saints in the NFC Wild Card round on Saturday.

Sun Dec 15 201318:17DeSean Jackson tears up MIN for monster day
DeSean Jackson caught 10 passes for 195 yards with one touchdown in Sunday's Week 15 loss at Minnesota.
The Vikings' inept and injured secondary had absolutely no shot at slowing down Jackson. The Eagles got him involved in a variety of ways, including finding success with starting him in the backfield and wheeling out for catches. Jackson won't see this much volume (16 targets) every week as Nick Foles ideally wants to spread the ball around, but his No. 1 wideout is playing at a really high level right now. Jackson will be a strong WR2 against the Bears in Week 16.

Sun Dec 8 201317:06DeSean Jackson gets a TD in Snow Bowl
DeSean Jackson caught four passes for 59 yards with a touchdown in Sunday's Week 14 win over the Lions.
Jackson's owners should feel relieved they got this line. With eight inches of snow on the ground, D-Jax's speed and cutting ability was completely neutralized. His 19-yard touchdown came when Nick Foles threw up a can of corn and Chris Houston quit on the play because he thought his man was out of bounds. Jackson will have legit WR1 upside against at Minnesota's brutal pass defense in Week 15.

Sun Dec 1 201316:46DeSean Jackson held in check by Peterson
DeSean Jackson caught three passes for 36 yards in Sunday's Week 13 win over the Cardinals.
Jackson was shadowed by Patrick Peterson for much of the day and lost. He was targeted just six times as Nick Foles found better matchups with his tight ends against the Cards' linebackers and safeties. The sledding will be much easier next week when the Eagles face the Lions' inept secondary (and then the Vikings in Week 15, Bears in Week 16). Jackson is now on pace to catch a career-high 81 passes for 1,361 yards with nine touchdowns.

Sun Nov 17 201318:20DeSean Jackson held to 4/82/0 in win
DeSean Jackson caught four passes for 82 yards in Sunday's Week 11 win over the Redskins.
Jackson could have done far more damage if the team needed it. He saw just four targets and Eagles sprinted out to a 24-0 lead. D-Jax continues to impress as an all-around route runner this year and will take a 58/985/7 line into the Week 12 bye. He'll see Patrick Peterson and the Cardinals in Week 13, but will remain a fine WR1 with Nick Foles playing at such a high level.

Fri Nov 15 201310:33DeSean Jackson says he's finally 'bought in'
DeSean Jackson attributes his 2013 success to finally "buying into the system" as a sixth-year pro.
"I just really bought in all across the board. Never really had done that in the past, maybe sometimes fighting the system," Jackson said. "Staying focused and doing all the extra little things, being a teammate, being a leader. Staying after practice later, working hard, little things that being young, never took the importance of doing that." Sitting at 54 catches for 903 yards and seven touchdowns after ten games, Jackson is on pace for career-bests in every category. He's fantasy's No. 4 overall receiver.

Sun Nov 10 201318:40DeSean Jackson continues monster season
DeSean Jackson caught four passes for 80 yards with a touchdown in Sunday's Week 10 win at Green Bay.
Jackson got the party started when he caught a deflection off the hands of Packers CB Tramon Williams for a 55-yard touchdown in the first quarter. It was his second straight game with a touchdown and he's up to seven on the season. With Nick Foles willing to push the ball deep down the field, there's upside to sustain that rate. Jackson will be a borderline WR1 against the Redskins in Week 11.
