Sat Oct 25 201404:47Holiday has won final roster spot on Warriors
Holiday has won the final roster spot on the Warriors, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
A late preseason explosion of scoring pushed Holiday ahead of the other fringe players to claim a roster spot, at least until Brandon Rush returns from lower back spasms. After two consecutive double-digit scoring efforts, Holiday had eight points (3-of-7 FG, 1-of-2 3Pt, 1-of-2 FT) in 14 minutes off the bench in Friday night's presason finale.

Holiday scored a reserve-high 12 points (4-of-6 FG, 2-of-4 3Pt, 2-of-2 FT) with two rebounds, two assists and a steal in 17 minutes in Tuesday night's preseason win over the Cippers.
That's two straight strong shooting performances for the non-guaranteed Holiday, who scored 18 points on 7-of-13 shooting in Sunday's game against the Rockets. He's making a bid for the final open roster spot.

Holiday scored a team-high 18 points (7-of-13 FG, 4-of-8 3Pt) with two rebounds, three assists, two steals and a blocked shot in Sunday's preseason loss to the Rockets.
Holiday's working on a non-guaranteed contract and Sunday's game was a chance for the reserves to make a case as head coach Steve Kerr rested or limited several starters. The young guard, who was a star in the summer league, had been pressing and missing his looks to this point in the preseason. Kerr likes that he's not just a catch-and-shoot guy, but the reality is that there's one spot available for four guys.
Mon Sep 8 201417:33Holiday will be member of Warriors' training camp roster
Holiday will be a member of the Warriors' training camp roster, the Rusty Simmons of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Jrue's younger brother was one of the top guards at the Las Vegas Summer League, where he averaged 14.8 points and 5.0 rebounds for Golden State's squad. Holiday was in camp with the Jazz last fall but failed to make the roster. His only taste of NBA action came with the Sixers in 2012-12, when he averaged 15.8 minutes over a nine-game stint. The Arizona State product spent last season in Hungary playing alongside former Oklahoma star and 2010 second-round pick Willie Warren. At this point, Holiday, whose training camp contract is non-guaranteed, would appear to be a long shot to make the Warriors' roster.
Sat Jul 12 201422:37Justin Holiday wins Saturday's game
Justin Holiday had a game-winning putback on Saturday to finish his line of 29 points, 13 rebounds, one assist and two blocks.
He scored just two points in the opener, so this was unexpected. Holiday will need three more games like this one to make the Warriors.

Thu Sep 26 201316:23Justin Holiday expected to sign with Jazz
Free agent Justin Holiday is expected to sign with the Jazz for training camp.
The Jazz waived Jerel McNeal on Wednesday in a mildly surprising move, so this may explain that. Holiday worked out with the Jazz earlier this month and it looks like he earned a camp invite. He'll have to make a major splash to make the team.

Mon Sep 9 201314:39Justin Holiday has workouts w/ Jazz, Heat
Free agent G/F Justin Holiday has workouts scheduled with the Jazz and Heat.
Holiday described himself as a "versatile defender ... [and] knock-down spot-up shooter." He's unlikely to earn a guaranteed NBA contract, however, and said that playing in the D-League is his "last option," so it's not a stretch to think he'll wind up overseas.

Wed Aug 14 201310:30Sixers waive G Justin Holiday
Sixers waive SG Justin Holiday.
With Jason Richardson possibly out for the year, the only shooting guards left in Philly are James Anderson and Evan Turner, who was originally slated to play more small forward. With their lack of viable shooting guard options, Anderson is officially a deep sleeper that could see some decent minutes this season. Holiday was set to get some guaranteed money if not waived prior to August 15, which helps explains why they let him go.

Mon Apr 15 201323:18Justin Holiday scores a career-high 11 points
Justin Holiday scored a career-high 11 points against the Pistons on Monday, adding two boards, two assists and two blocks in 28 minutes.
Jrue's older brother has been getting more minutes and he hasn't really done much with them, making just 32 percent from the field. Holiday has no fantasy value on a 15-game night on Wednesday.

Mon Apr 1 201309:10Sixers sign Justin Holiday for rest of season
Sixers sign F Justin Holiday for the remainder of the season.
Justin, the older brother of Jrue, will join the Sixers for the remainder of the year. He averaged 17.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.4 steals with the Idaho Stampede of the D-League this year. To make room for Holiday, the team is expected to release either Jeremy Pargo or Charles Jenkins.

Sun Mar 31 201309:11Sixers call up 'other' Holiday from D-League
The Sixers called up G/F Justin Holiday from the D-League on Sunday.
Yes, Justin is Jrue's brother and he was plucked off the roster of the Idaho Stampede, where he was scoring 17.2 points per game this season. His pickup is an Easter treat for the Holiday family, but it doesn't have implications in fantasy leagues.
