Tue Feb 4 201417:37Report: Demaryius separated shoulder vs. SEA
CBS Denver reports Demaryius Thomas played through a separated shoulder in the Super Bowl.
According to reporter Vic Lombardi, Thomas suffered the injury in the first quarter. Thomas took a thundering hit from should-have-been SB MVP Kam Chancellor on his first catch of the game. If true, it adds some gravitas to Thomas' otherwise-empty Super Bowl record of 13 catches. The fact that Thomas played through the apparent injury speaks to the fact that it should have little effect on his preparation for 2014.

Sun Feb 2 201422:14Demaryius sets Super Bowl record for catches
Demaryius Thomas set a new Super Bowl record for receptions (13) in Sunday's blowout loss to Seattle, totaling 118 yards and a touchdown.
Running screens and quick slants, Thomas' first six receptions went for gains of two, six, three, seven, one, and nine. He finally got loose downfield for 19 late in the second quarter, beating Seahawks RCB Byron Maxwell on a comeback jump ball. Demaryius committed the Broncos' third turnover of the game late in the third quarter when Maxwell popped the ball loose at the end of a reception. He did convert Denver's lone score on a 14-yard TD on the last play of the third, high-pointing Peyton Manning's pass over Maxwell. Thomas has posted back-to-back seasons of 90-plus catches, over 1,400 yards, and double-digit touchdowns. He'll be a top-three fantasy wideout pick in 2014.

Thu Jan 30 201412:15Broncos offense struggles vs. Jaguars in Wk 6
When the Broncos and Jaguars played in Week 6, Jacksonville's defense limited Denver's offense to 14 points at halftime and the score was 21-19 deep into the fourth quarter.
It's notable because the Jaguars' defense is run by ex-Seattle DC Gus Bradley. Denver eventually ran away on three late Knowshon Moreno TDs, but there wasn't a defense in football that gave Peyton Manning & Co. more fits this regular season. Seattle plays the same scheme albeit with far superior players. Jacksonville limited Demaryius Thomas to three catches for 78 scoreless yards, and Julius Thomas to a 4-22-1 line. Tue Jan 28 201409:59Only three snaps at RCB for Richard Sherman
Richard Sherman lined up at right outside cornerback three times during the entire regular season.
As Mike Clay notes in his Super Bowl Rankings article, Sherman simply isn't a shadow corner. He lines up at left corner 80 percent of the time, and moves to safety on another 15 percent. Thomas, meanwhile, lines up wide to Peyton Manning's left on 48 percent of his snaps. The two stars will face off plenty, but Sherman will see more of Eric Decker. Byron Maxwell will work against Thomas and Walter Thurmond III will look to slow Wes Welker in the slot.

Sun Jan 19 201418:37Demaryius shreds Talib-less Pats for 7-134-1
Demaryius Thomas shredded the Patriots for seven catches, 134 yards, and a touchdown in Sunday's AFC Championship game win.
The Patriots made no attempt to hide their early shadowing of Demaryius with Aqib Talib. Thomas proceeded to whip Talib down the left seam for a 29-yard first-quarter gain. Demaryius dropped his next target on a crosser, however, and Talib got injured on the play when Wes Welker drilled him from behind. With Talib sidelined, Thomas ripped off back-to-back gains of 26 and 27 late in the first half. Demaryius added a 15-yard pickup on Denver's opening drive of the second half, and gave his team a 20-3 lead by defeating Alfonzo Dennard's press coverage for a three-yard touchdown. Demaryius yet again toasted Dennard for a 30-yard pluck late in the third quarter. Thomas has been a top-five NFL receiver in back-to-back years, and we still feel like he isn't getting enough credit. He is a dominant force on the perimeter and in terms of run after catch.

Sun Jan 12 201420:18Demaryius Thomas goes for 8-54-1 in win
Demaryius Thomas caught eight balls for 54 yards and a touchdown in Denver's Divisional Round win over San Diego.
Demaryius' first grab came on a first-drive quick screen, allowing Thomas to flash his run-after-catch ability and gain nine. No. 88 became the game's first player to score when he boxed out SS Eric Weddle for a two-yard first-quarter touchdown. Each of Demaryius' eight catches went for nine yards or fewer on a day where Denver's offense was balanced and Peyton Manning picked apart San Diego's defense with chain-moving completions. Look for the Broncos to dial up more vertical shot plays in next week's AFC title game versus New England.

Demaryius Thomas (shoulder) is practicing in full for Week 16.

Fri Dec 13 201300:24Demaryius Thomas held to 4-45 in loss
Demaryius Thomas caught four passes for 45 yards in Denver's Week 15 loss to the Chargers.
Tonight was the first time in eight games that Thomas didn't manage either 100 yards or a touchdown. The Broncos offense simply never got in sync as the Chargers hogged time of possession. It's a one-week blip on the radar for Thomas, who will remain an elite WR1 for Week 16 against the Texans.

Sun Dec 1 201320:11Demaryius Thomas: 3 catches, 106 yards
Demaryius Thomas turned three catches into 106 yards in Denver's Week 13 win over Kansas City.
Fantasy owners should be pleased Thomas topped 100 yards because this was a "Decker Game," with Denver's No. 2 receiver torching rookie Chiefs LCB Marcus Cooper relentlessly. Thomas' big play came on a 77-yard catch-and-run, where the official got in the way and may have prevented him from taking it the distance. On the season, Demaryius is the No. 2 overall fantasy receiver behind only Calvin Johnson. Fire him up in Week 14 against Tennessee.

Sun Dec 1 201316:48Demaryius Thomas leaves with shoulder injury
Demaryius Thomas exited Sunday's Chiefs-Broncos game with a shoulder injury and is questionable to return.
The injury occurred in the first quarter. Broncos doctors are checking on the extent of the injury on the sideline. If Thomas is deemed to have avoided any serious damage, he'll reenter. Andre Caldwell has typically been the Broncos' backup at split end receiver, which is Thomas' position.

Mon Nov 25 201301:51Demaryius Thomas manages late touchdown
Demaryius Thomas caught four passes for 41 yards and a touchdown in Sunday night's Week 12 loss to the Patriots.
Thomas didn't make his first catch until late in the fourth quarter and was shut down by Aqib Talib for most of the game. He managed to score on a jump ball in the end-zone from 11 yards out to send the game to overtime. It's the first time this season he's been held under 52 receiving yards. Thomas still finished with a team-high nine targets and will remain a WR1 in Week 13 against the Chiefs.
