LaRoche is eligible to return Sunday, but he's slated to play a third rehab game Saturday before taking Sunday off, so the Nationals are expected to wait until Monday to activate him. "It felt good," he said of his first rehab game Thursday. "My leg feels great. I got to test it defensively coming to the bag. It was an issue towards the end there when it was really hurting, just that first break on a groundball getting back to the bag. Running felt really good."

Nationals placed 1B Adam LaRoche on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to May 10, with a right quad strain.
LaRoche attempted to play through the ailment for over two weeks, but he aggravated the injury Friday and the Nats have decided to finally DL him. The first baseman is hoping to return after his 15 days are up, but it's no given at this point. Tyler Moore has been recalled to replace LaRoche on the roster and he should see plenty of time at first base along with Kevin Frandsen.
