Ross came off the bench again Friday, and was held to one point (0-4 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-4 FT), four rebounds and four assists in 21 minutes, as the Raptors came back to beat the Clippers.

Ross has been fighting to earn a spot back in the starting lineup, but Friday's game certainly didn't do anything to help his case. Unless he does earn a spot in the first unit, Ross isn't particularly useful in standard leagues. In his 10 previous games off the bench this season, Ross averaged just under 10 points in 21.8 minutes per game.

Ross scored 23 points (9-16 FG, 5-11 3Pt) with three rebounds and a block in 29 minutes off the bench Wednesday.

It's his best effort in 10 games since getting moved to the second unit, but Ross will need to show more consistency before he gets another crack at the starting five.

The outing marks Ross' first of the season as a reserve, but his workload has already been greatly reduced in eight January tilts to date. During that stretch, he's managed to average just seven points (on 32 percent shooting), 1.9 rebounds, and 1.3 three-pointers in 22 minutes per game.

Ross really didn't contribute much other than shooting on Sunday, which is what owners have come to expect out of him lately. He doesn't attack the rim enough to get to the line, which he's easily capable of due to his athleticism. With Demar DeRozan set to come back this week the window for Ross to impress with a larger role is nearly over, meaning this is essentially the player he is this year. Maybe he'll have better looks after DeRozan returns, but he won't reach his potential unless he diversifies his game.

Ross scored 17 points (6-16 FG, 5-11 3P) with four rebounds, two steals and a block in 35 minutes during Monday's loss to the Bulls.

He's on a roll from beyond the arc, draining 18 of 42 three-point attempts (42.8%) over the last six games. Ross remains a mostly one-dimensional fantasy asset, but he does have the athleticism to contribute with his defensive stats as he matures.

Ross scored 22 points (8-14 FG, 3-5 3P, 3-3 FT) with five rebounds and two steals in 33 minutes during Sunday's OT win over the Knicks.

In the eight games since DeMar DeRozan (groin) went down, Ross is averaging 15.1 points, 4.8 boards and 2.0 threes. The Raptors still have no timetable for DeRozan's return, so look for Ross to continue providing solid value for the foreseeable future.

He shifted over to shooting guard with Landry Fields inserted into the starting lineup, and Ross responded with an excellent shooting performance. There's no indication yet as to whether the new rotation will stick, or if Greivis Vasquez will re-join the starting lineup and shift Ross back to small forward, but the third-year wing should continue to be a streaky source of points and threes wherever he plays.

Ross scored 20 points (8-15 FG, 4-8 3Pt), with four rebounds in 30 minutes during Tuesday's win over the Kings.

With DeMar DeRozan out for an extended time, Ross will get some additional looks, meaning that he could be in for a definite increase in production. Tonight was a prime example, as he took 15 shots and scored 20 points while playing big minutes.

Ross scored 20 points (8-12 FG, 4-7 3P) with five rebounds in 38 minutes during Sunday's OT loss to the Lakers.

In the Raptors' first game without DeMar DeRozan (groin), Ross stepped up with an excellent shooting performance. He's streaky, but if he heats up he could return solid value while DeRozan is sidelined.

Ross scored 17 points (4-8 FG, 4-5 3P, 5-5 FT) with four rebounds in 28 minutes during Tuesday's win over the Magic.

He's been absolutely lights out from beyond the arc recently, hitting on 12 of 18 three point attempts over his last three games, and with Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan breaking down defenses for him Ross should continue to see plenty of open looks. The third-year wing is building confidence rapidly, and while he won't continue shooting 67% from long distance he's got the talent to be an effective outside weapon all season long.

Ross scored 17 points (6-11 FG, 4-7 3P, 1-2 FT) with five rebounds, two steals and two blocks in a team-high 29 minutes during Sunday's shellacking of the 76ers.

That's back-to-back games for Ross in which he's drained four threes, after shooting just 6-for-20 from three point range during the first five games of the season. He won't get to face the Sixers every night, of course, but Ross will still be a useful asset if you need help from the outside.

After a slow start to the season, Ross finally showed flashes of the talent that allowed him to hang 51 points on the Clippers in January. With Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan leading the offense there won't be enough shots left over for Ross to duplicate that amazing performance, but he's capable of being an effective long-distance complement to the duo.

Ross scored 13 points (5-11 FG, 3-5 3P) with three rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block in 28 minutes during Wednesday's opening night win over the Hawks.

Ross has the athleticism to make a fantasy contribution in just about every category, but unless injuries shake up the Raptors' usage chart he won't see enough touches to have big value in shallow leagues.

Ross scored 22 points (9-18 FG, 4-10 3P) with two rebounds, an assist and a block in 26 minutes during Friday's preseason win over the Thunder.

His main fantasy contribution this season with come as a long-range complement to DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry, but Ross will look to improve on last season's combined 1.1 steals and blocks per game as well.

Ross had his fourth-year option picked up by the Raptors on Tuesday, Josh Lewenberg of TSN reports.

Ross has shown promise in his first two years in the league, and the move to pick up the option comes as no surprise. Ross, who turns 24 in February, will be eligible for an extension next fall. At this point, the chances of receiving that extension appear fairly high, though the Raptors will expect Ross to take a significant step forward in Year 3.

Ross missed Tuesday's preseason contest and was limited in practice Thursday because of a lower-leg contusion that he suffered last weekend. He is is back in the lineup Friday, indicating he is feeling pretty healthy.
