Wed May 7 201408:36Kaep incident: Woman called herself 'Jesus'
The 911 tapes connected to the Colin Kaepernick "suspicious incident" suggest a naked woman refusing to leave a hotel room.
The first call is from a hotel security officer: "She said her name was Jesus, and she don't have no clothes on. She's visiting this gentleman here. ... She's screaming now, just crying." The second call is believed to be from Seahawks WR Ricardo Lockette: "I want to report there's a young lady in my friend's bed. ... He's not here. She's going to wait in his bed. She's not leaving. We asked her to leave. We told her he won't be here tonight. She said she's not leaving until she sees him." Police have not accused anyone of a crime.

Tue May 6 201416:25Miami police release 'incident' 911 calls
Miami police have released two 911 calls from the "suspicious incident" investigation involving Colin Kaepernick, Quinton Patton and Seahawks WR Ricardo Lockette.
The calls shed little light on what happened, or what is even being investigated. One call is believed to have been made by a hotel security guard, with the other possibly coming from Lockette. It continues to appear the players will ultimately avoid any charges related to the incident.

Mon May 5 201408:20No new information in Colin Kaepernick case
Miami police said there is no update or timeline for new information on the "suspicious incident" investigation involving Colin Kaepernick.
49ers WR Quinton Patton, Seahawks WR Ricardo Lockette and a 25-year-old woman are also involved. Police said last month that it is not a criminal investigation and it's becoming increasingly clear there aren't going to be any charges here. "It's been put out that I did something wrong," Kaepernick said. "Even though it's a bad circumstance, a bad situation, I feel like ultimately I've been blessed because it's changed my way of thinking. It's made me stronger. It's made me look at things differently."

Sat Apr 26 201411:12Harbaugh sees good resolution for Kaepernick
Jim Harbaugh believes there will be a good resolution for Colin Kaepernick in the ongoing investigation into the "suspicious incident" on April 1 in Miami.
"The only victim in Colin's case is Colin's reputation," Harbaugh said. Kaepernick should be able to put this case behind him in the very near future.

Sat Apr 19 201410:20Kaepernick not present when police arrived
Miami police do not believe Colin Kaepernick was present when they responded to two 911 calls regarding a woman refusing to leave Kapernick's downtown Miami hotel room.
It is unclear when Kaepernick left the hotel room or if he was even there at all. It is looking more and more like Kaepernick, Quinton Patton, and Ricardo Lockette will walk away without any chargers.

Fri Apr 18 201408:35Report: 49ers, Kaep table extension talks
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the 49ers and Colin Kaepernick have tabled contract extension negotiations while police investigate the "suspicious incident" in Miami.
Kaepernick, Quinton Patton, and Ricardo Lockette are all expected to walk away without any charges, but the investigation is in its "early stages." Contract talks between the 49ers and Kaepernick weren't going well in the first place. The sides were reportedly far apart on a deal that should pay Kaepernick upwards of $18 million annually. The goal is still to hammer out a pact before Week 1.

Mon Apr 14 201417:15Report: Players called cops in CK 'incident'
According to the police report for Colin Kaepernick's "suspicious incident" on April 1, it was the players, and not the woman in question, who called the police.
Per the report, it was Ricardo Lockette who called the police after the woman reportedly refused to leave his apartment. The police then called a "crisis intervention team," which deals with calls "involving people with mental illness including those with co-occurring substance use disorders." It's appearing less and less likely that any of Kaepernick, Lockette or Quinton Patton will be charged with a crime.

Fri Apr 11 201416:49Kaepernick incident could hurt contract talks
Profootballtalk's Mike Florio believes Colin Kaepernick's involvement with the April 1 "suspicious incident" in Miami could hurt his negotiation position in extension talks with the 49ers.
Kaepernick is listed in a police report along with two other NFL players as a "suspect" in connection to the incident, but hasn't been accused of any wrongdoing. The 49ers reportedly feel "pretty certain" that Kaepernick did nothing wrong, but the events surrounding his involvement raise off-field concerns that could impact negotiations, regardless of the outcome in the police investigation. Entering the final year of his rookie deal, Kaepernick is seeking $20 million per season annually.

Fri Apr 11 201415:4649ers confident in Colin Kaepernick's story
ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported on NFL Insiders Friday that the 49ers "feel pretty certain" Colin Kaepernick committed no wrongdoing in connection with an April 1 "suspicious incident."
"My understanding is the 49ers feel pretty certain Kaepernick did nothing wrong," were Mort's words. Although TMZ has tried turning this into a big story, to this point all signs have pointed to it being nothing short of a non-story.

Fri Apr 11 201415:11Police not questioning Colin Kaepernick
Miami police have not even questioned Colin Kaepernick in connection with the April 1 "suspicious incident" at ex-teammate Ricardo Lockette's apartment.
The woman involved has made no known accusations. She did tell police that she had a previous sexual relationship with Kaepernick, but the two did not have sex on the night in question. She alleges she made drinks for Kaepernick, Lockette, and Quinton Patton, "hit" a bong containing marijuana, and went to bed after feeling "light headed." She remembered nothing thereafter, before waking up in a hospital bed. Police say the investigation has not been closed, but obviously no arrests have been made, and it sounds like no arrests have even been close to being made.

Fri Apr 11 201413:22Colin Kaepernick issues statement on incident
Colin Kaepernick issued a statement Friday calling reports of him being investigated for an April 1 incident at ex-teammate Ricardo Lockette's Miami apartment "completely wrong" and "made up."
Police thus far have only classified the incident as "suspicious." A female has reportedly claimed she partied with Kaepernick, Quinton Patton, and Lockette before passing out naked and waking up the next day in a hospital bed. "The charges made in the TMZ story and other stories I've seen are completely wrong," Kaepernick stated. "They make things up about me that never happened." TMZ claims Kaepernick is being investigated for sexual assault, but Miami police have denied that. "This report is simply an incident report taken at the woman's request," police have said. "There's no evidence of a crime or a sexual assault."

Thu Apr 10 201416:08Police calling CK case 'suspicious incident'
Miami Police will only confirm they are investigating Colin Kaepernick for a "suspicious incident," and have not classified the matter as a sexual assault.
TMZ came out of the gate claiming Kaepernick was being investigated for sexual assault, but the Miami PD is cautiously avoiding that language for the time being. That could change, but is not a minor detail. As previously reported, Kaepernick's current/former teammates Quinton Patton and Ricardo Lockette are also a part of the investigation. The incident in question took place at Lockette's Miami apartment.

Tue Mar 25 201418:1349ers owner, GM want Kaep extension
Speaking Tuesday, both 49ers owner Jed York and GM Trent Baalke expressed a desire to lock Colin Kaepernick up long term.
The duo's comments came one day after coach Jim Harbaugh called extending Kaepernick a priority. "I think there's a lot that he's done that has put him in that position where he should be paid like one of the top quarterbacks in the league," York said. "And I think that's where we'll end up. ... We hope we get it done soon." With the 49ers' entire brain trust on board, Kaep is a good bet to get paid this offseason.

Mon Mar 24 201413:53Harbs: Kaep extension 'high priority'
49ers coach Jim Harbaugh calls signing Colin Kaepernick to a contract extension a "high priority."
"The priority is Colin Kaepernick is a San Francisco 49er for however long we can have him be a San Francisco 49er," Harbaugh said. "He's unbelievable. As you can tell, I think he's a special and great player." Kaep is reportedly seeking as much as $20 million per season, so it's unlikely an extension gets hammered out any time soon.

Sat Mar 1 201422:07Kaepernick struggled under pressure in 2013
Colin Kaepernick had an accuracy rating of 54.6 percent under pressure last season, the worst mark in the NFL.
Kaepernick was also sacked on 20.2 percent of snaps when under duress, the fourth-worst rate among starters. 49ers president Paraag Marathe admitted that advanced stats will "play a big role" in Kaepernick's contract extension, where he's reportedly seeking a deal worth $15-16 million annually. The two sides have begun preliminary talks and are expected to get a deal done before the season.

Mon Feb 24 201418:08$15-16M per is floor in new Kaepernick deal
The San Jose Mercury News reports that "it sounds like" $15-16 million annually is the "floor" in a potential Colin Kaepernick-49ers contract extension.
That would put Kaepernick in the top-ten at his position in terms of annual average. The 49ers and Kaepernick's representation met at the Combine over the weekend, and all indications are that talks have gotten off on the right foot. There's still a long way to go in these negotiations, but both sides have expressed a desire to get something done before the season. Kaepernick is currently scheduled to earn just $973,766 in the final year of his rookie deal.
