Peralta went 1-for-4 with a solo homer against the Rockies on Saturday.

The 33-year-old is having a tremendous debut season in St. Louis, and his 16 dingers in 102 games have him on pace to surpass his career high of 24 set way back in 2005. Peralta is 5-for-13 with two homers and 5 RBI in the first three games of his team's series against Colorado, so he must be happy that the Rockies are sticking around for a Sunday matinee. The shortstop's recent bump in production comes on the heels of a 1-for-24 spell, but it looks like Peralta is back to the locked and loaded state that he's spent virtually all of 2015 in.

Peralta went 2-for-4 with a two-run bomb in a 7-0 win over the Rockies on Friday.

Peralta took advantage of the Rockies bullpen, as he took Christian Friedrich deep for his 15th homer of the season. The general public may be assuming Peralta is having a huge year, but the .169 ISO shows that this season's numbers are on par with his career ISO of .161. He has another good matchup on Saturday when he faces lefty Jorge De La Rosa.

Peralta is out of the lineup Sunday against the Braves.

Peralta will receive a routine day off after coming out of the All-Star break on a cold note with an 8-for-33 (.242) batting line through the first eight games of the second half. Pete Kozma will spell him at shortstop.

The shortstop has had an extremely productive 2015 season for St. Louis, as his 48 RBI in 88 games have him on pace to challenge his old career-high of 89 set way back in 2008. The 33-year-old raised his average to an even .300 with this performance and his .300/.356/.484 line shows he's playing as well as he ever has.

The All-Star Peralta once again proved why he's one of the top hitting shortstops in 2015. With three hits on Sunday, he raised his average back up to a team-high .298. He also leads the team in home runs with 13 and RBI with 46. If he can continue this pace after the All-Star break, he could set career highs in every major statistical category.

Peralta is in Friday's lineup against the Cubs.

He was scratched for an undisclosed reason Thursday, but it may not have been a medical issue, as he is right back int he mix Friday. Peralta will hit third against righty Jake Arrieta.

Peralta raised his average above the .300 mark with another solid performance and looks like he's really found his role in the middle of that potent Cardinals' lineup. Peralta is one of few shortstops in the league whose a good bet to hit 20 homers by the end of the season.

Peralta went 1-for-5 Wednesday against the Cubs, delivering a fourth inning solo home run off Jon Lester.

Peralta scored twice in the game but has cooled off after hitting .316/.356/.468 in April. It's far from a slump, though, as he's gotten a hit five of the six games he's played so far in May so look for a big game or two to come soon.

Peralta is out of the lineup Thursday.

With rookie Tim Cooney making his first big league start, the Cardinals will opt to give him the best infield defense possible with Pete Kozma manning shortstop. Peralta is off to a great start at the plate, slashing .316/.349/.468 and typically hitting in the middle of the Cardinals' lineup.

The shortstop moved up in the order with Matt Holiday taking the day off, and the pair of hits raised his average to an impressive .343 on the season. Peralta probably won't stick in the three-hole despite his torrid start, but he will continue to hit in the heart of the Cardinals order and should remain a good source of power and RBI totals.

Peralta has been off to a solid start for the Cardinals hitting .317/.344/.500. He's now hit in four straight games including an extra-base hit in each of his last two.
