Sat Nov 22 201420:20Roy Hibbert: Leaves with Ankle Injury
Hibbert suffered a sprained left ankle in the first half of Saturday's game against the Suns and is doubtful to return.
Hibbert played just seven minutes, finishing with two points, two rebounds, two assists and a block. The Pacers should release more information in the next day or two, but right now the center's status for Monday's matchup at Dallas is uncertain. Look for Ian Mahinmi to play big minutes in Hibbert's absence.

Hibbert scored 16 points (7-14 FG, 2-2 FT) with 15 rebounds, three blocks and two assists in 34 minutes during Wednesday's win over the Heat.
It's just his third double-double of the season, but Hibbert is averaging career highs so far in scoring and blocks and should continue to post big numbers, at least until some of the Pacers' other options on offense get healthier.

Hibbert (knee) scored 29 points (11-21 FG, 7-7 FT) to go along with five rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in 33 minutes Monday against the Jazz.
Hibbert's knee seemed fine Monday as he scored at least 22 points for the third time this season. The Pacers have been decimated by injuries, so look for them to continue to lean on Hibbert.
Mon Nov 10 201413:05Hibbert (knee) will remain in lineup for Monday's contest
Hibbert (knee) will remain in the lineup for Monday's contest, the Indianapolis Star's Curt Cavin reports.
He rested the knee over the weekend after banging it in Saturday's game, and had no issues in Monday morning's practice, so deploy him as usual.
Mon Nov 10 201410:42Roy Hibbert: (Knee) Probable For Monday
Hibbert (knee) is listed as probable for Monday's game against the Jazz.
Hibbert left Saturday's game with a bruised knee, but it does not appear the setback will cost him any further action. Expect him to line up as the Pacers' starting center Monday night.
Sat Nov 8 201423:26Hibbert (knee) considered day-to-day
Hibbert (knee) is considered day-to-day, the Indianapolis Star's Candace Buckner reports.
The Pacers' 2014 injury woes are reaching absurd levels at this point, but fortunately this one seems like it is relatively minor. With a day of rest Sunday, Hibbert may not need to miss any additional time, and he could be in the starting lineup Monday. The Pacers will likely provide an update before Monday's tipoff.
Sat Nov 8 201420:30Roy Hibbert: Out with Knee Bruise
Hibbert, who left Saturday's game against Washington in the first half with a bruised left knee, will not return to the game.
Fantasy owners will be stuck with a lackluster stat line for Hibbert: four points, three boards and a block in 11 minutes. The big man has dealt with a few minor knee ailments in his NBA career, but never anything serious, and this latest issue seems to be minor as well. No word yet on whether he will miss any games, but the Pacers do have a day off before taking on Utah on Monday night.

Hibbert left Saturday's game with a bruised left knee and is questionable to return, the Indianapolis Star reports.
The fact that Hibbert wasn't ruled out right away may mean that his injury isn't believed to be serious. With that in mind, he should be considered day-to-day until his status is updated by the Pacers.

Hibbert had two points (0-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), with nine rebounds, five blocks and four steals in 31 minutes during Wednesday's overtime loss to the Wizards.
Flashbacks of last season's NBA Playoffs are flashing through our minds. Hibbert just couldn't get his shot to fall, but didn't force the issue. He found other ways to contribute and at least managed to help fantasy owners out a bit. Expect Hibbert to come back strong next game, and don't stress this one too much.

Hibbert scored 16 points (7-10 FG, 2-4 FT), grabbed seven rebounds, and blocked five shots in 35 minutes Tuesday night against the Bucks.
Hibbert has developed a reputation for inexplicable slumps in recent seasons, but he is off to a strong start in 2014-15. He has only once shot below 50 percent, a 4-9 outing against Marc Gasol and the Grizzlies, and he is averaging 4.0 blocks per game.

Hibbert had 14 points (4-8 FG, 6-6 FT) with 12 rebounds and three blocks in 35 minutes in the loss to the Hawks on Saturday.
Hibbert's offensive contributions seem to be tied to his ability to get to the line. He has taken eight or nine field goal attempts in all three games, but his free throw attempts have fluctuated between two and 13. The Pacer center seems to be consistent on the boards (28 through three games).

Hibbert scored 22 points (6-8 FG, 10-13 FT) with eight rebounds and seven blocks in 32 minutes during Wednesday's 103-91 win over the 76ers.
He completely dominated a Sixers front court headlined by rookie Nerlens Noel, and with Paul George (leg), George Hill (knee) and David West (ankle) all sidelined to begin the season, Hibbert could emerge as the Pacers' main offensive weapon through the early part of their schedule.

Hibbert is not expected to play in Sunday's preseason game against the Mavericks, the Indianapolis Star reports.
An injury is not believed to be in play, rather it seems coach Frank Vogel is just intent on resting the seven-footer and getting a longer look at some of the team's younger players. Hibbert has totaled 21 points, eight rebounds, four blocks and two assists in 31 minutes through two preseason games.

Hibbert will be featured more in the Pacers' offensive attack this season, Candace Buckner of the Indianapolis Star reports.
Hibbert and fellow big man David West are both set to see an expanded role in an offense that is without top scores Paul George (leg) and Lance Stephenson. Although head coach Frank Vogel did emphasize Monday that it would be a "team attack," this news only bodes well for Hibbert's counting stats in 2014-15. The big man intends to establish himself early in games, with the hopes of staying out of foul trouble and carrying that momentum to the finish. With less offensive weapons to work with than last season, Hibbert should find himself with plenty of opportunities to score in the post.
Wed Aug 13 201413:29Hibbert could see expanded role in 2014-15
Hibbert could see an expanded role in 2014-15, as the Pacers intend to place a greater emphasis on running their offense through him and power forward David West, the Indianapolis Star reports.
Hibbert is typically used largely for his rebounding and shot-blocking prowess, but with the Pacers set for a 2014-15 season without superstar Paul George, the rest of the supporting cast will be counted on to compensate for the 21.7 point per game he leaves behind. The seven-footer averaged only 10.8 points per game last season, but may see an opportunity to increase his offensive contributions as a result of coach Frank Vogel running more of his offense through the big men down low. Hibbert's 2013-14 season will ultimately be remembered for his mysterious playoff disappearance, but with the Pacers currently down a superstar, they'll need their big man present more than ever in 2014-15.
Fri Jul 25 201414:41Kareem Abdul-Jabbar defends Roy Hibbert
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar came to the defense of Roy Hibbert after some mocking comments came in on a video he posted teaching Hibbert.
"I've been reading your comments and want the fans following us to practice being patient and thinking positive. Good things are happening in the Pacers Fieldhouse. Big men just need other bigs to learn and practice with in order to sharpen their skills. Roy is a hard worker and I'm really looking forward to seeing him play this season." There were lots of positive reports about Hibbert last offseason as he spent time working with the great Tim Duncan, however, he shot just 32.0 percent from 0-3 feet, so the experience didn't exactly translate to success. We're not confident that Hibbert can suddenly have a miraculous turnaround, but it is worth noting that Abdul-Jabbar sees the potential in Roy.

Tue Jul 22 201422:39Roy Hibbert training with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
Roy Hibbert is training with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar this offseason.
It's unknown what they're going to work on, but conventional wisdom suggests it'll be involving Hibbert developing a post game. His offensive output was a disaster down the stretch and he couldn't even score effectively from within three feet. He'll have to impress for a couple months before the NBA world changes its mind on his offensive ineptitude.

Sun Jul 6 201415:41Report: Pacers 'quietly' shopping Roy Hibbert
The Pacers have begun "quietly" shopping Roy Hibbert in trade talks, according to Sean Deveney of Sporting News.
No specific teams or players are mentioned in the report, but it's noteworthy that Indiana is open to dealing Hibbert, whose remaining two years and $30 million don't look great after his disappearing act last season. The Pacers are still in the mix to re-sign Lance Stephenson but their moves in free agency have been minor -- they've retained Lavoy Allen and acquired C.J. Miles and Damjan Rudez.

Tue Jun 3 201409:56Larry Bird wants Roy Hibbert to find mentor
Larry Bird wants Roy Hibbert to find a Hall of Fame mentor to work with over the summer in an effort to add consistency to the center's game.
The Pacers president of basketball opersations said the Pacers brought in Hall of Famer Bill Walton to work with Hibbert once this season and that he'd like Hibbert to work with somebody like Walton or Kareem Abdul-Jabbar this offseason. "Roy's never asked us to go bring someone in," Bird said. "I always say big guys are different. I would encourage Roy to try to get with one of the greats. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is one of the best teachers. Bill Walton is great. They know how to play the position as well as anyone ever has. I would encourage that." Hibbert was one of the better big men in the league during the first half of the season before his play tailed off significantly during the second half, so working with someone like Abdul-Jabbar or Walton could help bring confidence to the 27-year-old's game.

Mon Jun 2 201415:45Roy Hibbert makes All-Defensive Second Team
Roy Hibbert made the 2013-14 All-Defensive Second Team.
While Hibbert's offense was certainly sporadic throughout the year, his defense remained a constant. The Pacers had the best defense in the league, and the second best defense against centers. Hibbert was also fourth in the league in blocks, averaging 2.2 per game.
