Thu Aug 19 202108:42Brady Singer Notches Quality Start Against Astros
Kansas City Royals starting pitcher Brady Singer had one of his best and longest outings of the year against the Houston Astros on Wednesday. Singer pitched 6 2/3 innings in the game and allowed six hits, two walks and two earned runs while striking out six. It was just his second quality start since June 11 and it was his second-longest outing of the year. The 25-year-old had really struggled over his last two outings, allowing 12 earned runs over just 5.2 innings. He has a 5.23 ERA and a 1.60 WHIP on the year. He shouldn't be trusted for fantasy purposes at this point, but we'll see if he can build off of Wednesday's outing. His next start will be on Tuesday against the Astros once again.

Over his 20 starts this year, he has a 5.42 ERA and a 1.63 WHIP. He's been a bit unlucky this year as his xERA is just 4.25, but he's still not someone worth rostering in any fantasy formats for now. Fri Jul 30 202117:31Brady Singer Starts Rehab Assignment On Friday
Kansas City Royals starting pitcher Brady Singer (shoulder) is set to begin his rehab assignment Friday night for Triple-A Omaha, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reported. The 24-year-old right-hander was placed on the 10-day IL on July 20 due to right shoulder fatigue. While it isn't uncommon to give a fatigued young pitcher some time off, Singer also hasn't looked very good so far this season. With a 5.13 ERA, 1.55 WHIP, and 92/37 K/BB over 19 starts, there is little reason for managers to hold onto the second-year starter.
