Tue Mar 15 201101:24Kapono (personal) returns to action on Monday
Jason Kapono (personal) returned to action on Monday, playing 18 seconds with no statistics to his credit.
This was 18 seconds more than we thought he may get for the rest of the season, and needless to say he has no fantasy value.

Mon Mar 7 201116:34Kapono misses Sunday game (personal)
Jason Kapono missed the Sixers game against the Warriors on Sunday due to personal reasons.
I'm sure the team didn't miss his 0.8 points per game too much.

With the Sixers failing to land a trade with Jason Kapono all signs point to Philadelphia buying out his contract.
There are teams that would be interested in his shooting touch. Expect some team to snatch him up if the Sixers let him go.

Jason Kapono (calf strain) is probable for Wednesday's game against the Suns.
Kapono was getting DNP-CDs even before he picking up this strain. Jodie Meeks has taken his spot as the Sixers' designated 3-point shooter and ran with it.

Sun Nov 21 201013:27Kapono (personal) misses practice Sunday
Jason Kapono was excused from practice on Sunday for personal reasons.
It's not yet known if he will be available for Tuesday's game against the Wizards. This news shouldn't affect your fantasy team, as Kapono hasn't played more than 13 minutes in any game this season.

Jason Kapono (personal) has re-joined the Sixers.
Kapono will be available for Friday's game against the Mavs, and may actually get some minutes with Lou Williams (shoulder) likely out. But Andres Nocioni has passed Kapono on the depth chart, probably for good.

Thu Oct 28 201000:29Kapono starts, struggles
Jason Kapono started Wednesday's opener but recorded two points in just 12 minutes.
Kapono played six minutes at the start of both the first and second halves. Then the athletic Sixers bench came on and coach Doug Collins had no reason to go back to Kapono. He'll have some good nights shooting, but the Sixers have too many swingmen to rely on Kapono in fantasy.
Tue Oct 26 201012:50Coach Collins: Kapono, Hawes to start opener
Coach Doug Collins named Jason Kapono his starting small forward and Spencer Hawes his starting center for Wednesday's opener.
Don't expect starter's minutes out of Kapono. The Sixers will go to Lou Williams and Thaddeus Young quickly and have the versatility to play Andre Iguodala at small forward was well. Still, Kapono will check up plenty of 3-pointers even in 20-25 minutes. He's worth a look in deeper formats if you are desperate for treys.

Sat Oct 23 201011:20Jason Kapono to start at SF for Sixers?
76ers coach Doug Collins is considering Jason Kapono as a possible starting small forward, "because he gives us a shooter and some spacing on the floor."
Kapono could start at SF with Elton Brand at PF and Spencer Hawes at C, a lineup we haven't seen because of Hawes' lower back strain. Philadelphia needs outside shooting to keep defenses honest, and Kapono is one of the only players who fits the bill, but fantasy owners shouldn't spend more than a final-round pick on him.

Thu Oct 21 201011:54Kapono to start over Thadd Young?
Jason Kapono has started the Sixers' last two games at small forward over Thaddeus Young.
We don't know what the Sixers' starting lineup will look like on Wednesday night, and they might not either. It appears they want to go big, with Andre Iguodala at shooting guard and Elton Brand at power forward. Kapono gives that lineup what it desperately needs -- someone who can actually make a jump shot. Keep an eye on Kapono as an in-season waiver add.

Thu Oct 21 201000:38Kapono scores 20 points against Knicks
Jason Kapono was left unguarded for most of Wednesday's preseason game, and made the Knicks pay with 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting (4-of-7 from deep) with three rebounds, no assists, and a steal.
He will not get enough minutes or produce enough consistently to be owned in most fantasy leagues, but don't be surprised when he does this in the correct matchup.
Tue Jul 20 201013:30Sixers open to moving Kapono
The Sixers are open to moving sharpshooter Jason Kapono, according to ESPN.com.
Kapono is entering the final year of a contract that is set to pay him $6.6 million. After inexplicably being buried on Eddie Jordan's bench for most of last season, he averaged 11.4 points on 2.0 treys per game toward the end of the season. It's a little surprising that the Sixers want to trade their only perimeter shooting threat.

Tue Apr 13 201014:28Kapono will be back next year
Jason Kapono said he will not opt out of the final year of his contract.
Kapono has a player option that will pay him $6.64 million next season. His first year with the Sixers was ruined by coach Eddie Jordan, but he'll ideally be a 20-minute a night shooter off the bench.

Mon Apr 12 201021:38Jason Kapono gets hot, scores season-high 24
76ers swingman Jason Kapono exploded for a season-high 24 points vs. the Heat on Monday --he made 10-of-12 field goals, including 4-of-5 from downtown.
Kapono had scored 20 points just once all season prior to this, and he remains very inconsistent. This basically confirms what we already knew, that Kapono is capable of getting points and 3s in bunches.
