Tue Mar 18 201401:58Green logs 30 injury-plagued minutes on Mon
Willie Green logged 30 minutes in another start for the injury-depleted Clippers on Monday, scoring eight points on 3-of-7 shooting with two threes, three boards, three assists, one steal and one block.
Darren Collison is out with the flu and Jamal Crawford's timetable for return is elusive at best, and all the while Green is dealing with ankle, hip and finger injuries himself. This is a fine line against a bad defensive team in the Nuggets, and you're doing some serious fantasy jumping jacks if you try to use Green for the Clippers one remaining game this week. In related news, don't do serious fantasy jumping jacks with Willie Green.

Mon Mar 17 201400:27Willie Green fills in at SG for ailing Clips
Willie Green started at SG out of necessity on Sunday, scoring 10 points with two 3-pointers, four rebounds and two steals in 36 minutes of action.
Doc Rivers had no alternatives with Jamal Crawford (calf) and Darren Collison (illness) both unavailable, and Green filled in competently without raising any eyebrows. Collison is day-to-day and Green is not a viable source of fantasy value.

Tue Feb 18 201420:58Willie Green (hip) available for Clippers
Willie Green (hip) is available for the Clippers on Tuesday, but Doc Rivers doesn't want to use him.
Green isn't really relevant in fantasy, but the Clippers need him healthy with news that J.J. Redick is out indefinitely.

Mon Feb 17 201418:18Willie Green (hip) still out with hip issue
Willie Green (hip) won't play against the Spurs on Tuesday night.
He did not play on Wednesday against the Blazers and there is no word on what's exactly wrong with his hip. Green is playing just 15.5 minutes per game this season and isn't really a big part of the rotation while the team is healthy.

Wed Feb 12 201421:16Willie Green (hip) out on Wednesday night
Willie Green (hip) will not play against the Blazers on Wednesday night.
He's only played 13.8 minutes per game over his previous five and is just around for the second unit. Green has no fantasy value.

Tue Jan 7 201401:37Willie Green scores 11 in 17 minutes
Willie Green hit 4-of-7 shots and three 3-pointers for 11 points and a block in 17 minutes on Monday.
He should see an increase in minutes with Chris Paul out for a month or so, but will need more than 17 minutes to make any fantasy noise.

Sat Jan 4 201423:45Willie Green plays 22 minutes off bench
Willie Green hit 4-of-8 shots for eight points, two rebounds, two assists and a steal in 22 minutes off the bench on Saturday.
With Chris Paul out indefinitely Green is going to see more minutes for the Clippers. We doubt he'll be worth owning, but he's at least worth a watchful eye in deeper leagues.

Tue Dec 17 201301:45Willie Green scores 11 points with splint
Willie Green scored 11 points on 4-of-5 shooting (including three treys) with three rebounds, two assists and one steal in 26 minutes off the bench on Monday, despite the presence of a splint on his left pinkie finger.
Green won't be this productive on most nights and he'll need to prove us wrong multiple times before we assign him any fantasy value.

Mon Dec 16 201320:57Willie Green will wear a splint on Monday
Willie Green will wear a splint on his left pinkie in Monday's game.
He didn't break his pinkie and should be fine. The Clippers will be starting Jamal Crawford at shooting guard, which makes Green's already minuscule value even smaller.

Sat Dec 14 201322:30Willie Green (left pinkie) getting X-rays
Willie Green will get X-rays on his left pinkie on Saturday.
He had been starting before Jamal Crawford took over tonight, but Green's numbers were not great in that role. In his seven starts, he averaged 7.4 points in 22.4 minutes. He's not worth owning in almost any league. Green finished Saturday's game with no points in 21 minutes.

Sat Dec 7 201322:26Willie Green scores season-high 11 points
Willie Green scored a season-high 11 points in a losing effort on Saturday, making two 3-pointers despite shooting just 4-of-13 overall from the field.
The veteran added four boards, one assist and a rare blocked shot in 26 minutes. He's been invisible despite starting with J.J. Redick (hand, elbow) out of commission, and is an improbable source of value even if Reggie Bullock (ankle) also winds up missing time.

Sun Dec 1 201314:24Willie Green to start at SG w/ Redick out
Willie Green will start at SG for the Clippers with J.J. Redick (hand, elbow) out 6-8 weeks.
Jamal Crawford and Reggie Bullock will also have heavier minutes with Redick rehabbing, and Green has a recent history of uninspiring play as a starter. In 60 starts last season he averaged 6.8 points, 1.0 threes, 0.9 assists and 0.5 steals in 18 minutes per game, and even with more minutes under Doc Rivers he's unlikely to be more than a low-end source of 3-pointers.

Sun Oct 20 201301:45Willie Green quiet in 36 minutes of action
Willie Green filled in for J.J. Redick (quad) on Saturday and played 36 minutes, but he finished with four points on 2-of-8 shooting, two rebounds, one assist and one steal.
This about sums up his fantasy appeal. Green shot better than 40 percent from downtown the past two seasons, but he's a poor fantasy option even if he carves out a decent chunk of bench minutes alongside Darren Collison and Jamal Crawford, which is doubtful.

Wed Jul 3 201315:45Clippers pick up team option on Willie Green
The Clippers picked up their team option on Willie Green.
Green's option was for just under $1.4 million, so it's not a surprise the Clippers would use him to help fill out their bench. Unfortunately for Green, he's unlikely to see the court much next season after the addition of J.J. Redick, who should get the majority of minutes as the Clippers' designated shooter off the bench.

Thu Apr 11 201301:42Willie Green scores 15 in start for Clips
Willie Green had 15 points and three 3-pointers on 5-of-11 shooting in another start at shooting guard for the Clippers.
Chauncey Billups is vowing to return and Jamal Crawford had 11 points on 4-of-12 shooting in 29 minutes off the bench, so don't expect Green to play this well on a regular basis.

Sun Mar 24 201301:55Willie Green scores 15 pts in start at SG
Willie Green started at SG and scored 15 points in Saturday's home victory, hitting 6-of-8 FGs with three 3-pointers, three rebounds and two steals.
Most impressively, Green did all that in 21 minutes, while Jamal Crawford pitched in 13 points in 24 minutes, and Matt Barnes added five points and six boards in 23 minutes. Chauncey Billups is day-to-day with a groin injury and he went through some non-contact drills on Thursday, so Green's starting gig may be short-lived.

Thu Mar 21 201303:12Willie Green scores 13 in start for Clips
Willie Green started at shooting guard Wednesday and had 13 points, four rebounds and a 3-pointer on 5-of-9 shooting.
He got the start with Chauncey Billups out with a groin injury, but just doesn't have the upside to be worth a look in most leagues.

Willie Green (knee) played in Friday's loss to the Raptors, scoring two points with one steal in 16 minutes.
