Tue Dec 3 201301:10Francisco Garcia scores 13 points in start
Francisco Garcia scored 13 points in his first start at small forward of the season on Monday to go with six rebounds, two assists, four blocks and three 3-pointers.
The four blocks were a huge bonus for a guy that has been fairly effective in that department with 0.7 per game in his career over just 22 minutes per game. Garcia picked up some extra playing time with Chandler Parsons out with back spasms and he should continue to put up some useful lines while Parsons unable to play. Cisco is worth a look, but Parsons isn't expected to miss much time.

Mon Dec 2 201314:35Francisco Garcia (toe) probable for Tuesday
Francisco Garcia is expected to play on Tuesday despite sitting out shootaround.
Presumably his absence was related to his sprained toe, which has been nagging him for a while. He's been playing very well off the bench lately and could step into a big role if Chandler Parsons (back) isn't able to suit up Tuesday.

Sat Nov 30 201303:33Garcia scores 15 points with five threes
Francisco Garcia hit five 3-pointers in Friday's laugher win over the Nets, finishing with 15 points, three rebounds, five assists, one steal and three blocks in 25 minutes.
Like teammate Aaron Brooks, Garcia will likely have some late-round value while Jeremy Lin is out. Just don't get carried away by this garbage time line and give him a look if you need some short-term help.

Thu Nov 28 201302:41Francisco Garcia gets loose for 21, 3 treys
Francisco Garcia hit 9-of-14 shots and three 3-pointers for a season-high 21 points, two rebounds, three assists and a steal in Wednesday's win over the Hawks.
He has a sprained toe and was limping before the game, but that didn't stop him from going off tonight. He also played fairly well on Monday, if you consider six points "solid" from a fantasy player. Prior to tonight's explosion, Garcia hadn't scored more than eight points in 11 straight games, and was held scoreless in three of those. Omri Casspi has actually been more efficient and consistent, but this night belonged to Garcia. We'll have to see him do it a couple more times before getting too excited.

Wed Nov 27 201312:30Garcia (toe) will suit up on Wednesday
Francisco Garcia (sprained toe) will play on Wednesday but he was seen limping during shootaround.
Cisco will get a bit of extra run if James Harden (foot) misses any more games, but even so he's a marginal fantasy option. We'll leave Garcia off the injury report unless his prognosis worsens in the coming days.

Wed Nov 13 201323:04Francisco Garcia back from flu, zero points
Francisco Garcia returned from a missed game with the flu, but didn't make a shot or score in 20 minutes on Wednesday.
Omri Casspi got hot tonight, while Garcia never got it going. These two could trade good games all season long and their inconsistency makes both of them tough to own in fantasy leagues.

Tue Nov 12 201314:30Francisco Garcia (flu) hopes to play Wed.
Francisco Garcia (flu) didn't practice on Tuesday but he hopes to return to action for Wednesday's game.
Garcia said he could barely get out of bed on Monday, and he'll likely be limited even if he's cleared to play vs. the 76ers.

Mon Nov 11 201319:15Garcia (flu) out on Monday vs. Raptors
Francisco Garcia (flu) will not play on Monday against the Raptors.
Garcia is going to be the only fantasy relevant guy to not make this game, and it sounds like healthy guys like Patrick Beverley might get leaned upon a little bit more.

Mon Nov 11 201318:20Francisco Garcia is a game-time call
Francisco Garcia is a game-time decision for Monday due to an illness.
As reported earlier, James Harden (illness), Chandler Parsons (back) and Omri Casspi (ankle) are expected to play in this game, but they might not be at 100 percent. It sounds like Garcia is a little closer to doubtful, so his owners in deep leagues will want to keep him on the bench.

Tue Nov 5 201301:31Garcia hits two more threes in Monday's loss
Francisco Garcia scored 14 points on 5-of-9 shooting (including two threes) with two rebounds in 21 minutes off the bench on Monday.
Garcia is little more than a 3-point specialist and things could get lean whenever Patrick Beverley returns, but he certainly has a role on this Rockets team and that gives him a shot at some low-end fantasy value.

Sun Nov 3 201301:20Francisco Garcia hits three more 3-pointers
Francisco Garcia hit three more 3-pointers on Saturday to finish with 12 points in 26 minutes off the bench.
Garcia benefitted from the absence of Omri Casspi (ankle), but has been playing well even when Casspi is healthy. He's hit 10 3-pointers in three games and if you need them, he looks like a nice place to start when you're trolling the waiver wire.

Wed Oct 30 201323:55Francisco Garcia scores 19 off Rockets bench
Francisco Garcia came off the bench to hit 7-of-13 shots and five 3-pointers on his way to 19 points in 28 minutes.
He didn't do much else, but could be ready to provide instant offense off the bench on nights when Omri Casspi's not able to do so. Casspi was quiet tonight, hitting just 2-of-6 shots in 20 minutes after an exciting preseason.

Tue Oct 22 201309:13Francisco Garcia shooting 13-of-23 from deep
Francisco Garcia is shooting 13-of-23 from downtown (56.5 percent) during the preseason.
James Harden (16-of-29 from deep) and Chandler Parsons (3-of-6) will dominate minutes at SG and SF for Houston, but Garcia's versatility and 3-point range set him up to mimic Carlos Delfino's role from last season. Delfino hit a career-high 2.4 threes per game in Kevin McHale's system, which may be out of reach for Garcia, but deep-league owners in search of 3-point shooting should keep Garcia, a career 36.1 percent shooter from downtown, in mind on draft day.

Sun Oct 13 201309:52Francisco Garcia hits five 3s, scores 15 pts
Francisco Garcia (groin) made his preseason debut vs. the Pacers in Taiwan this weekend, scoring 15 points on five 3-pointers.
Garcia shot 38.6 percent from deep last season and should pick up some of the perimeter duties Carlos Delfino left behind, though Omri Casspi is also in the mix as a backup wing player. There's no reason to draft Garcia but he could surface with value if James Harden or Chandler Parsons get injured.

Wed Oct 9 201309:57Garcia, Reggie Williams both iffy for Thurs.
Francisco Garcia (groin) practiced on Wednesday and is questionable to play in Thursday's first-ever NBA game in the Philippines.
Reggie Williams is also questionable to play due to a groin injury, while Omer Asik (strained calf) has already been ruled out vs. the Pacers on Thursday.

Fri Oct 4 201313:55Francisco Garcia (groin) out for Saturday
Francisco Garcia (groin) will not play in Saturday's preseason game.
Assuming there isn't some sort of unreported aggravation, the Rockets are just being careful with Garcia. He's expected to help the second unit on the perimeter at either wing spot. Cisco had a nice second half last season, but isn't worth targeting in most fantasy formats.

Sun Sep 29 201315:15Francisco Garcia sitting out of practice
Francisco Garcia (groin) is sitting out of Sunday's practice.
Just four days ago there were reports that he wasn't having issues with his groin, so this could be a precaution. He's been injured quite a bit in his career and the Rockets aren't going to use him with the starters very often. Cisco is more of a deep-league specialist for triples this year.

Wed Sep 25 201318:03Francisco Garcia (groin) not having issues
Francisco Garcia (groin) is not having issues from a strain he suffered in Venezuela.
He is with the Rockets and is ready for training camp. Garcia signed a two-year deal this summer and will help the second unit as a 3-point specialist. He's not going to have a large enough role while the Rockets are healthy to matter in most leagues.

Sat Jul 6 201313:15Rockets bring back Francisco Garcia
Rockets re-signed G/F Francisco Garcia to a two-year, $2.6 million contract.
The second year of this veteran's minimum deal will be a player's option. Garcia appeared in 18 games for the Rockets after a mid-season trade last year, averaging 6.4 points in 17.6 minutes a night. He'll be the Rockets' ninth or tenth man once again this season.

Tue Jul 2 201313:21Knicks pursue Francisco Garcia, Matt Barnes
The Knicks are reportedly "pursuing" free agents Francisco Garcia and Matt Barnes.
New York wants to fill out their roster with a true small forward and they've also expressed interest in Carlos Delfino. The Knicks' bloated payroll is their biggest hurdle to landing one their favored SFs -- they can't offer more than the mini-mid-level exception, and they'd prefer to use that on a PG.
