Channing Frye started again on Tuesday, but hit just 2-of-6 shots for four points, three rebounds and two assists in 25 minutes.

He also had a block, but the sudden rise of Markieff Morris is clearly hurting Frye right now. Morris had 24 points tonight, and has scored between 21 and 24 points in three straight games, while Frye had scored a total of 10 points over his last two games. Frye will likely get hot again at some point, but with Morris coming on so strong, is no longer a must-start player.

Frye tends to ebb and flow for the Suns, but has scored in double figures in four straight games, averaging 13.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.75 3-pointers over that stretch. Markieff Morris is an appealing fantasy add right now, but Frye looks like a more consistent player.

He is believed to be available for Tuesday's home game against the Bulls. Frye is from Arizona, but not much else is known about what family issue he's dealing with. His numbers have come down since coach Jeff Hornacek has gained trust in Markeff Morris, but Frye is still worth owning in some formats for his 3-pointers.

He's been a top-50 option in nine-cat leagues despite his limited playing time, and retains solid mid-round value when turnovers are excluded.

He's worth owning in standard leagues despite how he can't defend in the low post.

In those five he's putting up impressive numbers, as in 16 points, 5.6 rebounds, a block and a whopping 4.0 3-pointers per game. He's hit 20-of-39 3-pointers over that stretch, good for 51 percent, and is also shooting 45 percent overall. He'll eventually go back into a funk at some point, but for now, Frye is doing enough to carry some fantasy teams on his back.

Channing Frye started the second half on the bench on Tuesday vs. the Bulls, scoring a total of 11 points with seven boards, one assist and one 3-pointer in 27 minutes.

He had three fouls in the first half and put the Suns behind the eight ball after allowing a lot of easy buckets in the early going. Frye has been successful as a stretch power forward on offense, but he has some difficulties defending in the low post. He'll get Kevin Love on Wednesday.

Frye's slump is over, as he's hit double figures in scoring in three straight games, averaging 16 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.3 steals, 1.3 blocks and nearly five 3-pointers per game over that stretch. His next disappearing act could be right around the corner, but riding Frye while he's hot is probably a good idea.

He didn't have a block and the shooting could have been better, but it's hard to complain about this game. Frye and the Morris twins seem to rotate good games between them, and it was Frye's turn. Trying to rely on any of them is risky business in fantasy.

Frye has really cooled off recently, scoring in single digits in four of his last five games, and is averaging just 9.0 points over that stretch. But he's also bringing 7.0 rebounds, 0.8 blocks and 1.2 3-pointers during that stretch, leaving him clinging to value. But trying to figure out on which night Frye, the Morris twins and Gerald Green are going to be hot is akin to playing the lottery.

After going for back-to-back 20-point games on Sunday and Wednesday, Frye disappeared on Friday with just three points on 1-of-6 shooting. He was back to form tonight and has hit at least three 3-pointers in four of his last five games.

The slump is over and Frye had totaled 42 points, 10 rebounds and nine 3-pointers over his last two games. Think about grabbing him if he was dropped in your league.

Frye had been limited, in part, due to foul trouble over his previous four games, but just didn't get it going tonight against the Lakers. He's cooled off recently, averaging just 10.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.8 steals, 0.2 blocks and 1.6 3-pointers over his last five games. The return of Eric Bledsoe, the strong play of the Morris brothers, and foul trouble have all contributed to his slump, but we're not ready to write him off. If he's still struggling by next week though, it may be time to start looking for a hot prospect off the wire.

It's not too bad a line and this should be a fair expectation for Frye owners. He really has trouble on the block on defense, so a team like the Grizzlies with an inside-out approach was a bad matchup for him. He was coming in hot over his previous four games with at least three 3-pointers, so cutting him should not be on his owners' minds.

Frye struggled on Friday night, but still had 13 points and a block in that one. He's starting for the Suns, has hurt the value of both Markieff and Marcus Morris, and should be owned in all leagues until further notice.
