Fri Apr 12 201321:51Cartier Martin plays 37 minutes Friday
Cartier Martin played 37 minutes against the Sixers on Friday, scoring six points with four boards, two assists, one steal and one block on 2-of-8 shooting.
The Wizards are really short-handed on the wing and Cartier is going to have an opportunity. The Wizards have just two games left in the season, so he should only be viewed as a desperation plug-n-play in daily leagues. Garrett Temple played 31 minutes and had a solid line of eight points, five boards, two assists, two steals, one block and one 3-pointer. Temple is a more valuable piece in fantasy leagues.

Fri Apr 12 201318:24Cartier Martin draws start for Wizards
Cartier Martin will start at small forward in Friday's game against the Sixers.
With both Martell Webster and Trevor Ariza sidelined by injury, the Wiz are scraping at the three-spot. It's Martin's first start of the year, but he's a scorer. His per-36 minute averages this season include 14.6 points and 3.2 3-pointers.

Tue Apr 9 201323:49Cartier Martin scores 16 in garbage time
Cartier Martin hit four 3-pointers in Tuesday's 120-99 loss to the Knicks, scoring 16 points with three boards on 6-of-12 shooting.
He's scored just nine points in his previous six games, so this line came out of nowhere. Trevor Ariza did not play, which allowed some extra playing time for Martin. He can be left on the wire in almost all leagues.

Sun Mar 24 201301:30Cartier Martin scores 23 points w/ six 3s
Cartier Martin set a new career-high with 23 points in 30 minutes off the Wizards bench on Saturday, hitting 8-of-13 FGs, including 6-of-9 from downtown.
Trevor Ariza (flu) hit seven 3-pointers on Friday but he wasn't available tonight, so Martin stepped in with an equally impressive performance. He added three rebounds and three assists in a line bound to get plenty of attention, but with Ariza day-to-day there's no reason to consider picking up Martin unless you're solely targeting 3-pointers.

Cartier Martin (knee) returned to action on Friday, hitting just 1-of-8 shots to finish with two points, two rebounds, one assist, two steals and one block in 18 minutes.
The Wizards lost handily and this was the first time we've seen Martin on the court in about two months. Barring a surprise, he will do more to steal value from others than he will do for himself.

Sat Feb 23 201322:42Cartier Martin out w/ hyper-extended knee
Cartier Martin, who was expected back on Friday, remains sidelined by his hyper-extended knee.
The Wizards have won three straight without Martin and with Trevor Ariza playing well it's doubtful that he'll approach the 22 minutes per game he averaged in December. Consider him questionable to return at Toronto on Monday.

Wed Jan 16 201320:57Cartier Martin (knee) will not play Wednesday
Cartier Martin (knee) will miss his fourth game and is inactive against the Kings on Wednesday.
Now that the Wizards backcourt is getting healthy with the exception of Jordan Crawford (ankle), Martin's attractiveness in even deep leagues loses its luster. He probably won't play his average of 17.6 minutes once he's able to return.

Cartier Martin (knee) will not play against the Hawks on Saturday.
He was a solid fill-in player for the Wizards while they were dealing with injuries. Now that the team is approaching full strength, he'll have a tough time carving out a noteworthy role.

Fri Jan 11 201308:28Cartier Martin misses practice on Thursday
Cartier Martin (knee) did some light shooting on Thursday and is uncertain for Saturday's game vs. the Hawks.
Martin did not play against the Thunder on Monday, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him take Saturday's game off as well. If he's out, look for Martell Webster and Trevor Ariza to pick up some extra minutes.

Mon Jan 7 201318:22Cartier Martin out w/ hyper-extended knee
Cartier Martin (hyper-extended knee) will not play vs. the Thunder on Monday.
This game could get very ugly in a hurry, as the Wizards are without John Wall, Jordan Crawford, Nene, Cartier Martin, Trevor Booker and Trevor Ariza. Martin will have four days of rest before Saturday's game vs. the Hawks.

Fri Dec 21 201223:47Martin struggles in blowout loss on Friday
Cartier Martin hit just 2-of-11 shots in the Wizards' blowout loss on Friday, scoring five points (including a three) with one rebound in 23 minutes off the bench.
The Wizards scored 68 points tonight and shot 33 percent from the field, so owners should keep that in perspective when assessing players. This doesn't absolve any one of them for their performances, but they'll be better than this on most nights.

Sat Dec 15 201222:10Cartier Martin scores 18 pts w/ four more 3s
Cartier Martin stepped up again for the injured Wizards on Saturday, scoring 18 points with four 3-pointers, six rebounds and four assist sin 27 minutes.
Martin is now averaging 19.5 points, 4.5 threes and 7.0 rebounds in his past two games, and Randy Wittman has vowed to ride him when he gets a hot hand. He should have low-end value if all you need is 3-pointers with a dash of points and rebounds, but we're not sold on the sustainability of these recent numbers.

Sat Dec 15 201200:03Cartier Martin scores season-high 21 points
Cartier Martin scored a season-high 21 points on Friday against the Lakers, hitting 7-of-16 shots (including five threes) with eight rebounds, one assist, two steals, and one block in 32 minutes off the bench.
Martin has been a sporadic low-end producer over the past week or so, and will have a limited window that will last until John Wall (knee) returns. He's worth a look in deeper formats, but he needs to work on his consistency before standard league owners should consider an add.

Thu Jul 12 201218:18Wizards re-sign G/F Cartier Martin
Wizards re-sign free agent G/F Cartier Martin on Thursday.
Martin averaged a 9.3 points and 3.4 rebounds in 17 games with the Wizards last season, starting in two of them. He came to the team on a 10-day contract, so this story has a feel-good ending. As for fantasy value, Martin shouldn't have much as long as his teammates are healthy.

Wed Apr 25 201221:39Cartier Martin quiet in start for Wiz
Cartier Martin started for the Wizards on Wednesday and had seven points, a steal, a block and a 3-pointer on 3-of-10 shooting.
He should start again on Thursday against the Heat with Jordan Crawford shut down, and could be a sneaky fantasy play in the finale.
