Wed Mar 28 201201:14DeJuan Blair cools off in Tuesday's win
DeJuan Blair had just eight points, three rebounds, zero steals and zero blocks in 21 minutes at another start at center on Tuesday.
Blair has been a hot pickup, but it's night like this that make us flinch. He scored 18 and 23 points in his previous two, but has scored eight or less in three of his last five games. Blair is worth a look in most leagues, but like with any player under Gregg Popovich, owners have to be ready for the bad nights and mysterious DNPs.

Mon Mar 26 201200:16Blair scores 19 pts for short-handed Spurs
With Tim Duncan resting and Tiago Splitter (back) ailing on Sunday, DeJuan Blair had a predictably big night -- 19 points, six rebounds and three steals in 31 minutes.
Blair made 9-of-15 FGs but only 1-of-4 FTs. Call it nitpicking, but it's curious that Blair's 5.8 rebounds per game are his lowest average since joining the NBA, despite slowly increasing minutes. Tim Duncan's return on Tuesday should make Blair an iffy fantasy option, especially in weekly leagues (San Antonio has three games this week).

Sat Mar 24 201223:15DeJuan Blair drops 23 points in Spurs' win
DeJuan Blair came four points shy of his season-high on Saturday, scoring 23 points on 9-of-14 FGs and 5-of-5 FTs.
With Tiago Splitter (back) sidelined and the Spurs in the middle of a back-to-back-to-back set, the team needed a big game from Blair, who added seven rebounds and two steals in just 25 minutes. Gregg Popovich's rotations and lineup changes make it hard to trust Blair, but he's worth a look for as long as Splitter is out.

Tue Mar 13 201201:51Blair double-doubles on Monday vs. WAS
DeJuan Blair double-doubled against the Wizards on Monday, scoring 11 points on 5-of-10 shooting with 12 rebounds and no steals or blocks in 26 minutes.
Blair had fallen off a cliff so it will take more than a game against the lowly Wizards for us to change our opinion of his fantasy value. Tiago Splitter also played well with 17 points and seven rebounds in 20 minutes.

Sat Mar 10 201202:09Blair back to being unproductive on Friday
DeJuan Blair played just 19 minutes on Friday, scoring six points on 3-of-4 shooting with two rebounds and two assists.
Blair isn't even getting a tremendous threat from Tiago Spliter (four points, three boards, two blocks, 18 minutes) yet, and he has lost any value he had accumulated recently. Drop him if you haven't already.

Fri Mar 9 201201:58DeJuan Blair limited in Wednesday's game
DeJuan Blair played through his bruised knee on Wednesday, notching 10 points, seven rebounds and one steal in just 14 minutes of action.
Blair's knee may have been a limiting factor, but his fantasy outlook is more affected by the return of Tiago Splitter, who logged 18 minutes off the bench.

Mon Mar 5 201209:12DeJuan Blair's injury called a bruise
DeJuan Blair's knee injury is being called a bruise.
Blair banged knees in Sunday's loss to the Nuggets and went down in a ton of pain. It looked serious, but then he was able to come back in the game for three minutes of action. The Spurs are off until Wednesday, giving Blair plenty of time to get any swelling out.

Mon Mar 5 201200:46DeJuan Blair plays 3 minutes after injury
DeJuan Blair banged knees with another player just after tip off on Sunday and played just under four minutes.
The injury doesn't appear to be serious, but with the Spurs playing just two games in the upcoming week, along with the return of Tiago Splitter, Blair's fantasy value is quickly disappearing.

Sun Mar 4 201221:56DeJuan Blair injures knee on Sunday
DeJuan Blair suffered a left knee contusion after just 17 seconds on Sunday against the Nuggets, but is expected to return to the game.
With Tiago Splitter back in action, Blair's fantasy value was already in a downward spiral before the injury.

Sat Mar 3 201203:24Blair scores four points with 11 boards
DeJuan Blair scored four points on 2-of-8 shooting with 11 rebounds, two assists, one steal, and five turnovers in 28 minutes on Friday against the Bobcats.
This was a game that Blair should have dominated, but aside from the turnovers he had four of his shots blocked. With Tiago Splitter (nine points, five boards, one block, 21 minutes) working his way back from injury, it's probably time to look elsewhere if you have been relying on Blair.

Thu Feb 23 201223:49Blair ties career-high with 28 points in win
DeJuan Blair tied a career-high with 28 points on 12-of-21 shooting to go with 12 rebounds, three assists, two steals, and one block in 35 minutes on Thursday.
Blair delivered an icy glare to Danny Green for not passing him the rock for an uncontested layup to break his career-mark, highlighting why Blair does not play consistently and Green is one of Gregg Popovich's favorites. We don't know if this will jump-start Blair after the break, but with Tiago Splitter out at least a week on the other side -- Blair is worth a short-term look.

Tue Feb 21 201202:52Blair scores 15 points with Splitter out
DeJuan Blair scored 15 points on 7-of-11 shooting with four rebounds, two assists, four turnovers, and one steal in 27 minutes on Monday.
There are plenty of things to gripe about with this line, but with Tiago Splitter (calf) out the next two weeks Blair could be worth a short-term look.

Sat Feb 11 201222:55Spurs' starters quiet in easy win vs. Nets
None of the Spurs' starters played more than 27 minutes in Saturday's easy win vs. the Nets.
Tony Parker scored 12 points with five assists, Danny Green chipped in 10 points, DeJuan Blair scored 11, and Tim Duncan double-doubled with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Gregg Popovich will rest his veterans one way or another, so time off in a blowout is just part of the bargain for Spurs' owners.

Sat Jan 28 201200:16Blair goes scoreless in 15 minutes of action
DeJuan Blair went hitless on two shot attempts in Friday's loss to the Wolves, scoring zero points with two rebounds and three assists in 15 minutes.
Blair is struggling and Tiago Splitter is on fire, and with tonight's loss it wouldn't be crazy to see a chance at starting center for the Spurs. It also wouldn't be crazy to see them stick with the current configuration, but Blair can easily be dropped for a free agent in 12-14 team leagues.

Tue Jan 24 201202:58Blair struggles again on Monday vs. NO
DeJuan Blair continued to struggle on Monday against the Hornets, scoring four points on 2-of-4 shooting with four rebounds, one assist, and one steal.
Even in a quiet five-game stretch in which Blair has averaged 20.6 minutes, 8.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, and no blocks, his 50 percent field goal shooting and 1.0 steals per game keep him from being a total disaster. A late round producer on the year, he's droppable for a hot free agent, but as the starter don't be surprised if he returns to being valuable.

Sun Jan 15 201223:43DeJuan Blair scores 14 points in Spurs' win
DeJuan Blair had 14 points on 7-of-12 shooting, six rebounds, one steal and one block in the Spurs' third straight victory on Sunday.
Blair is averaging 11.1 points and 6.5 rebounds in 24 minutes per game. If his minutes increased he'd be a must-own player, but as an undersized big man his production typically fluctuates based upon matchups.

Sat Jan 14 201201:08Blair bounces back against the Blazers
DeJuan Blair bounced back from Tuesday's stinker with 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting with 11 rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one block in 28 minutes on Friday against the Blazers.
If he was dropped in your league go ahead and give him a look. A nice source of points, boards, and steals, the inconsistency keeps him from being a must-own player in most 12-team formats.

Thu Jan 12 201200:44DeJuan Blair gets just 16 minutes in OT win
DeJuan Blair played just 16 minutes with nine points, three rebounds and a block in an overtime win against the Rockets.
Blair's minutes have been shaky again this season under Gregg Popovich, meaning he's going to have some big games and some duds. If you're eyeing a hot free agent and want to cut the inconsistent big man, it's probably not a bad idea.

DeJuan Blair (leg) will play in Tuesday's game against the Bucks.
Blair left Sunday's game against the Thunder early, but it was just a precaution. He's expected to start and play his usual 24-29 minutes tonight.
