Wed Jul 31 201313:52Update: DeJuan Blair not yet a Maverick
Updating previous reports, DeJuan Blair has yet to officially sign with the Mavericks.
Multiple sources reported that an agreement was close and it seemed like a done deal after Blair wrote, "Dallas!!!!! Now lets have some fun!!!!" That may have been a bit premature, however, and ESPN's Jared Zwerling reports that Blair is "still weighing opportunities." It shouldn't take long for this situation to resolve, whether he ultimately signs in Dallas or elsewhere.

Tue Jul 30 201312:52DeJuan Blair agrees to deal w/ Mavericks
Updating a previous report, DeJuan Blair has agreed to sign with the Mavericks.
Blair wrote on Twitter, "Dallas!!!!! Now lets have some fun!!!!" The deal is expected to be one year at the veteran's minimum. He was unhappy with his sporadic role in San Antonio and should be able to carve out more minutes as Dirk Nowitzki's backup in Dallas, allowing Jae Crowder to play his more natural SF position. It's a nice fit on paper but there's no reason to think Blair will have fantasy value in standard leagues.

Tue Jul 30 201311:10Report: Mavs in talks for DeJuan Blair
The Mavericks are reportedly in "serious talks" to sign FA DeJuan Blair.
A deal looks "promising," according to ESPN's Marc Stein, and this could signal the end of Blair's rather uneventful free agency. He has career averages of 14.9 points, 11.1 rebounds and 0.7 blocks per 36 minutes, but he wouldn't approach that much playing time while Dirk Nowitzki is healthy.

Fri Jul 26 201309:06Bulls interested in signing DeJuan Blair
The Bulls reportedly have interest in signing DeJuan Blair.
The Wizards have been the leaders for Blair most of the way, so even with no report linking them, we'd still consider them to be the favorite to sign the 24-year-old big man. Regardless, of destination, he'll likely be near his 14.0 minutes per game from last season.

Fri Jul 19 201313:29Report: Mutual interest between Blair, Wiz
DeJuan Blair is interested in signing with the Wizards, a source tells SNY's Adam Zagoria.
Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski reported the Wizards' interest in Blair earlier in the week. Woj mentioned a sign-and-trade possibility but Zagoria didn't say whether that was still on the table. This is far from a done deal, however, since Blair doesn't exactly fit what the Wizards are looking for out of their power forward. Stay tuned.

Sat Jul 13 201310:32Report: Wizards interested in DeJuan Blair
The Wizards are reportedly interested in free agent DeJuan Blair, and they may consider a sign-and-trade with the Spurs.
There are a few hitches in the scenario, however, namely that the Spurs "may be unmoved" by their options in a sign-and-trade and Blair doesn't fit the mold of the 'stretch-four' that the Wizards have repeatedly said they want.

DeJuan Blair referred to his playoff performance as an audition for other teams in free agency.
The Spurs have relentlessly shopped Blair on the trade market over the last couple of years only to find no takers, and the two sides are expected to part ways after the season concludes. He'll make for a solid, low-cost backup for a team that needs one.

Wed Apr 3 201323:11DeJuan Blair out for Spurs w/ stomach virus
DeJuan Blair sat out Wednesday's game due to a stomach virus, and he's questionable to play on Thursday.
The Spurs are almost at full health, minus Manu Ginobili, so they may opt to give Blair another night off. Either way, he's not a fantasy option.

DeJuan Blair scored 16 points off the bench in Friday's blowout win over the Kings, hitting 8-of-12 shots with three rebounds and three assists in 24 minutes.
Blair has strung together two good deep league games in a row and might see more action with Boris Diaw (back) ailing, but this is his ceiling and he is only a short-term asset.

His name recently came up in a trade rumor to Atlanta, but as we stated, we're not holding our breath for Blair to be sent packing in a Josh Smith deal. This news makes it even more likely that San Antonio will be keeping him, which limits his fantasy value.

Wed Feb 20 201307:59Report: DeJuan Blair likely to be on way out
The Spurs "will likely move" DeJuan Blair before Thursday's deadline, sources told Yahoo! Sports.
Blair has reportedly sought a trade for over a year, and as a free agent this offseason has no intention of re-signing with the Spurs. San Antonio may have to accept the best offer for him prior to Thursday if they're intent on moving him, but other teams may be wary of his ACL-free knees.

Mon Feb 11 201322:46DeJuan Blair on the trade block
The Spurs have reportedly tried to offer DeJuan Blair to the Pistons, according to ESPN.com's Chris Broussard.
The Boston Celtics, Miami Heat and Portland Blazers could have interest in getting Blair and all four teams certainly could use a big man. Blair would have nice deep-league value with some of those teams, but since he doesn't really have much upside with a lack of defense, there's very little reason to stash him.

Sun Feb 3 201300:22DeJuan Blair plays 14 minutes w/ sore knee
Playing through swelling in his right knee, DeJuan Blair finished Saturday's game with two points, four rebounds and two steals in 14 minutes.
Blair's knees will be a point of concern throughout his career, considering his lack of ACLs, but this latest episode was little more than 'routine' swelling. He could play a bigger role with Tim Duncan (ankle, knee) ailing, but he should be viewed from afar in average fantasy leagues.
