Thu Jan 31 201313:18DeJuan Blair practices on Thursday
DeJuan Blair (knee) returned to practice on Thursday.
Blair's knee injury obviously wasn't serious if he's already practicing on Thursday, so we're not too concerned about him.

Wed Jan 30 201311:38DeJuan Blair will not play on Wednesday night
DeJuan Blair will not play on Wednesday because he has a right knee effusion.
Knee effusion is when excess swelling occurs in the knee due to fluid building up in the area. It's not totally unexpected to hear about a guy without ACL's, but he will not be available on Wednesday. Tiago Splitter is staring at a ton of playing time.

Sat Jan 26 201301:58DeJuan Blair scores a season-high 22 points
DeJuan Blair scored a season-high 22 points against the Mavericks on Friday, adding four rebounds and one steal in just 19 minutes.
Tim Duncan didn't play, which opened the door for Blair to shoot 10-of-13 from the field. Blair won't be able to maintain value with the Spurs at full strength, but daily league owners can keep this line in mind when the Spurs rest players.

Thu Jan 10 201308:36Report: DeJuan Blair back on the trade block
The Spurs are shopping DeJuan Blair in trade talks.
Blair has been available since at least the 2012 draft and the Spurs would happily move him in the right deal. However, the team won't give him away for pennies and there is nothing to suggest a deal is close. He'll be a free agent after the season.

Mon Dec 10 201223:57Blair returns with 19 minutes, scoring nine
DeJuan Blair (ankle) returned to action on Monday with nine points, five rebounds and one block in a 134-126 overtime win over the Rockets.
Tiago Splitter played just 18 minutes and had 10 points while Boris Diaw played 24 minutes and had eight points. This is going to be messy and we'd rather own Splitter over Blair in deeper leagues at this point.

Sat Dec 8 201215:01DeJuan Blair ruled out for Saturday's game
DeJuan Blair will not play against the Bobcats on Saturday due to a sprained left ankle.
Blair took a hard spill in the second half of Friday's game and the big man may need some time to recover. Tiago Splitter has played much better lately with 12.8 points per game in his last six games and he's worth a look in some standard formats.

Fri Dec 7 201222:30DeJuan Blair leaves game on Friday
DeJuan Blair exited Friday's game in the second half after taking a hard fall on a shot attempt.
Coach Gregg Popovich had the Spurs commit a foul in order to take Blair out of the game, so there could be some concern here. The Spurs were up big, which means Blair will likely finish with eight points, five rebounds and one steal in 20 minutes. Tiago Splitter has been playing well and could benefit with Blair out of the lineup.

Sun Dec 2 201200:16DeJuan Blair scores just one point on Sat.
DeJuan Blair scored one point in 17 minutes of action on Saturday.
He started at center and did chip in two rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block, but never even attempted a field goal. With Matt Bonner (20 minutes), Tiago Splitter (20 minutes) and Boris Diaw (14 minutes) all nipping at his heels, Blair doesn't have much going for him in fantasy leagues.

Wed Nov 28 201222:43DeJuan Blair scores 11 in start
DeJuan Blair started, played 24 minutes and had 11 points and six rebounds in the Spurs easy win over the Magic Wednesday.
Tiago Splitter, who had the big game last time out, had nine points, four boards, a steal and a block in just 16 minutes, and as usual, you just never know what you're going to get from the Spurs. We don't trust either player enough to throw them into fantasy lineups right now, but Splitter appears to be the better add if you're desperate for a big man.

Wed Nov 21 201223:56Blair scores 10 points with five boards
DeJuan Blair started at center again on Wednesday against the Celtics, scoring 10 points on 5-of-7 shooting with five rebounds, one assist, and one steal in 20 minutes.
Owners in deep formats starting him during the four-game week are getting what they bargained for more-or-less. Even with Tiago Splitter scoring 23 points off the bench, we wouldn't be surprised to see Blair continue to start in order to keep the rotation consistent.

Wed Nov 21 201219:43Blair to start at center for the Spurs on Wed
DeJuan Blair will start at center on Wednesday for the Spurs.
If you've been trying to squeeze blood from a rock then you know who's getting the first nod. Tiago Splitter, Boris Diaw, and Matt Bonner could all be in the mix tonight, per Pop's discretion of course.

Tue Nov 20 201202:14Blair posts modest line in start on Monday
DeJuan Blair drew the start for Monday's game against the Spurs, and posted a modest six points, six boards, and two steals in 18 minutes.
Owners taking a chance on his four-game week aren't thrilled, but they can live with the result. Stephen Jackson's absence isn't going to impact the big men too much, but it can't hurt the outlooks for Blair, Tiago Splitter (nine points, five boards, 16 minutes), or Matt Bonner (10 fourth quarter points, 11 minutes). Boris Diaw was a no show with one point and three rebounds in his 16 minutes, and Blair is the favorite for fantasy value at this specific moment.

Sat Nov 17 201223:32DeJuan Blair scores 19 points in blowout win
DeJuan Blair finished a blowout win on Saturday with a season-high 19 points on 7-of-10 FGs and 5-of-6 FTs, logging 23 minutes in another start alongside Tim Duncan.
At any moment Blair could get bumped from the starting five by Tiago Splitter or Boris Diaw, so don't get too excited. This was his second double-digit scoring game of the season, and he had a total of two rebounds in the previous three games.

Thu Nov 15 201219:34DeJuan Blair will start at power forward
DeJuan Blair will get the start at power forward against the Knicks on Thursday.
Coach Pop is at it again and he has been shuffling his frontcourt rotation with Blair, Tiago Splitter and Boris Diaw for most of the season. Blair is coming in cold with only 13 minutes on Tuesday while Tiago Spliiter had a nine-point, nine-rebound game in 29 minutes. It would take a huge game by Blair to be worthy of consideration in standard leagues.

Tue Nov 13 201211:20DeJuan Blair likely back despite knee issues
DeJuan Blair (bruised knee) is expected to play Tuesday night against the Lakers.
Blair's knees were an issue when he entered the league, but given the quick turnaround it appears this is nothing to be concerned about. Blair is averaging 6 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 19 minutes per game this season.

Sat Nov 10 201221:51DeJuan Blair out Saturday w/ bruised knee
DeJuan Blair (bruised knee) will not play in Saturday's game vs. the Blazers.
Blair's knees are always a concern given his history with ACL problems, but this sounds like a minor malady. His absence means a few more minutes for Boris Diaw, Tiago Splitter and Matt Bonner.

Fri Nov 9 201222:06DeJuan Blair to start for Boris Diaw vs. SAC
DeJuan Blair will start for Boris Diaw against the Kings on Friday night.
We don't know why this is happening but maybe it's to combat the girth of DeMarcus Cousins. Blair could have a field day against the Kings' porous defense, but it's anybody's guess how much he plays so start him at your own risk. At this time, he should only be considered for spot-action until we learn more.

Tue Nov 6 201201:40Blair double-doubles off the bench
DeJuan Blair double-doubled off the bench for the Spurs on Monday, scoring 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting with 11 rebounds, four assists, and two steals in 29 minutes.
We've heard nothing but positive reports on Blair, in particular about his conditioning, but he could just as easily be a DNP-CD in the Spurs' next contest and tonight's minutes were aided by a blowout. If you're feeling lucky take a flier, but we're holding off until we see him stake a permanent slot in the rotation.
