Mon Jan 27 201418:23Larry Sanders and O.J. Mayo out on Monday
Larry Sanders and O.J. Mayo will not play against the Bucks on Monday due to illnesses.
Oh boy. Sanders had one of the worst showings of any starting center on Saturday and Gustavo Ayon took him to school, so there will likely be some speculation here. He missed Wednesday's game with an illness and this is a very odd scenario shaping up in Milwaukee. John Henson will start in place of Sanders and should be in all lineups.

Sat Jan 25 201423:19Larry Sanders doesn't make a field goal
Larry Sanders didn't look like he was paying attention in Saturday defeat to the Hawks, failing to make any of his five field goal attempts for one point with four boards and two turnovers.
He was shredded by Gustavo Ayon, so that's probably not a good thing. Sanders had been coming off the bench and coach Larry Drew put him back in the starting lineup tonight. While his fouling issues have come down a little, he dropped his season field goal percentage to just 42.5 percent. If he wasn't such a great shot blocker, it would make it a lot easier to cut him.

Sat Jan 25 201402:35Sanders blocks three shots in return game
Larry Sanders (illness) returned to action and scored seven points with five rebounds and three blocks in 21 minutes on Friday.
Sanders' illness was met with scorn by beat writer Gery Woelfel on Wednesday, and it's fair to wonder if Sanders would have gotten this much time if Ekpe Udoh hadn't left with an ankle injury. The line works for those using Sanders tonight, but he has a lot to prove before anybody feels good about his outlook. And no, this isn't the night to give up.

Fri Jan 24 201418:39Larry Sanders & O.J. Mayo available off bench
Larry Sanders (illness) and O.J. Mayo (illness) will be available off the bench on Friday night vs. the Cavs.
The Bucks won a game on Wednesday and it may have changed the way coach Larry Drew views his rotation. Sanders should still see enough minutes to matter in most leagues, so fantasy owners shouldn't panic just yet. John Henson will remain in the starting lineup.

Fri Jan 24 201411:41Larry Sanders expected to play Friday
Larry Sanders (illness) is expected to play off the bench in Friday's game against the Cavs.
The Bucks actually won a game on Wednesday as Sanders sat out. So Larry Drew will stick with the same starting five, which includes John Henson and Ekpe Udoh up front. Sanders projects to re-take a starting job sooner rather than later and push for 30 minutes nightly. Despite a nightmare season, there's buy-low appeal here.

Wed Jan 22 201417:46Larry Sanders and O.J. Mayo won't play Wed.
Larry Sanders (illness) and O.J. Mayo (illness) will not play against the Pistons on Wednesday.
Sanders did not practice on Tuesday due to an illness and it's not clear if he'll be well enough to play against the Cavs on Friday. With Sanders out, John Henson will likely move into the starting lineup and should be in all fantasy lineups. Khris Middleton also could get some spare minutes at power forward.

Tue Jan 21 201415:07Larry Sanders (illness) sits out practice
Larry Sanders (illness) sat out Tuesday's practice.
He's averaging 10.6 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 3.0 blocks in Milwaukee's previous three games, a welcome sight for his long-suffering fantasy owners. The Bucks host the Pistons on Wednesday and with luck we'll get a positive update about Sanders after shootaround -- if he can't suit up, expect more playing time for John Henson and Miroslav Raduljica.

Tue Jan 21 201413:25Larry Sanders misses Tues practice w/ illness
Larry Sanders (illness) missed Tuesday's practice.
There is no word on the severity of Sanders' illness, but this news would put his status up in the air for Wednesday's game against Detroit. Sanders is coming off one of his better games of the year and should be owned in all formats at this point, but if he does miss Wednesday's game, John Henson should stand to see big minutes.

Sun Jan 19 201400:16Larry Sanders scores blocks five shots
Larry Sanders blocked five shots against the Rockets with 12 points, five boards, one assists and two steals in 31 minutes.
He had three blocks in the first quarter and got off to a fast start. Sanders did block three shots with a double-double on Wednesday and his fantasy value looks like it can leave the ICU for being healthy again. Coach Larry Drew still has some rotational issues to work out, but playing Sanders at least 30 minutes seems highly likely.

Thu Jan 16 201402:17Larry Sanders double-doubles vs. Grizzlies
Larry Sanders played a season-high 37 minutes against the Grizzlies on Wednesday with 10 points, 12 boards, one assist and three blocks on 4-of-12 shooting.
It was his first double-double on the season and he played very well on defense. Sanders attempted his fifth 3-pointer of his career and it came in the last minute of the game, so it'll be easy to blame the Larry boys with coach Larry Drew buckling a little bit. Sanders should be owned in all leagues and his fantasy owners can keep hoping he resorts back to his 2012-13 ways.

Mon Jan 13 201422:50Sanders posts pedestrian line in Mon's loss
Larry Sanders posted a pedestrian line in Monday's blowout loss to the Raptors, hitting just 2-of-8 shots for six points, eight rebounds, one assist and no steals or blocks in 27 minutes.
Sanders looks plenty athletic out there and had a few buckets waved off due to random whistles, but all in all owners are probably using his face as a dartboard right now. Averaging 6.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, 0.8 steals, and 1.3 blocks in nine games since returning from his thumb injury, it's hard to imagine him playing at such a low level going forward. The play is still to hold.

Mon Jan 13 201413:53Larry Sanders avoids punishment for elbow
Larry Sanders will not be fined or suspended for elbowing Thunder rookie Steven Adams during Saturday's game.
Sanders was ejected after just a few minutes of action so if nothing else he'll be rested, and owners can only hope that his tumultuous season settles down in the coming weeks. John Henson's return presents a fresh wrinkle for coach Larry Drew, and we'll be keeping a very close eye on the Bucks' frontcourt rotation.

Sat Jan 11 201421:09Larry Sanders ejected in first half for elbow
Larry Sanders gave rookie Steven Adams an elbow in the second quarter of Saturday's game and was ejected.
He was battling for position in the paint and gave Adams an elbow to the face. This has become a very bad trend for Sanders after leading the NBA in ejections with five last season. Sanders fouled out on Friday and his year really can't get much worse after a bar fight back in November. He finished with no points, four boards and one block on Saturday and made a lot of fantasy owners angry in the process.

Sat Jan 11 201401:51Larry Sanders scores one point vs. Bulls
Larry Sanders was non-existent on offense against the Bulls on Friday, missing both of his shots from the field for one point with nine boards and two blocks in 23 minutes before fouling out.
He fouled out and was out of rhythm on both ends of the floor. Basically, there's being bad on offense, then there's the Bucks. They had just 18 points in the paint and only nine makes from the charity stripe as a team. Sanders owners should hold him despite the lackluster offensive game.

Wed Jan 8 201401:37Larry Sanders stinks vs. Warriors
Larry Sanders was horrible in Tuesday's loss to the Warriors with five points, six boards, two assists and one turnover on 2-of-10 shooting.
The Bucks had an abysmal effort inside the paint with only 24 points coming in that area tonight. Sanders has really struggled overall on offense and has only two baskets outside of eight feet on the season, so this is nothing new for the defensive big man. Fantasy owners probably aren't happy about him shooting 39 percent from the line this season, but he still should be viewed as a buy-low guy.

Sun Jan 5 201410:08Larry Sanders, Gary Neal bicker after defeat
Larry Sanders and Gary Neal got into a heated argument after Saturday's lopsided loss, and Neal shouted, "I earned my money. Why don't you try it?"
Unfortunately for fantasy owners, Neal may have had a point -- Sanders finished the game with just seven points, two rebounds, one block and three turnovers in 26 minutes. Sanders also questioned Neal's attitude earlier in the argument, according to beat writer Charles F. Gardner. Some friction is to be expected on a team with a 7-26 record and none of Milwaukee's players seemed concerned about the incident.

Sun Jan 5 201400:28Larry Sanders invisible in loss to Suns
Larry Sanders played 26 minutes, but hit 3-of-5 shots for just seven points, two rebounds and one block in Saturday's loss.
Sanders had 16 points, eight boards, two steals and two blocks on Thursday, but wasn't feeling it tonight. He's still working his way back from a thumb injury and will probably have plenty of ups and downs over the next month. But he's a must-own player given his potential for monster fantasy lines and owners have to hope he's rolling by the time the All-Star break rolls around in February.

Fri Jan 3 201400:37Larry Sanders makes all seven shots in loss
Larry Sanders made all seven shots from the field and both free throws for 16 points against the Jazz on Thursday, adding eight boards, two assists, two steals and two blocks in 35 minutes.
There are a lot of positives in this game with the obvious excellent shooting and playing 35 minutes in back-to-back games as the highlights. This did come against a vulnerable Jazz defense, but Sanders has really solidified himself as a top-end fantasy center over the past couple games.

Wed Jan 1 201402:34Larry Sanders has best game of season
Larry Sanders set season highs with 11 rebounds and five assists against the Lakers on Tuesday, adding seven points, two steals and four boards in 35 minutes.
He also matched his season highs with the blocks and steals in a big win. Sanders' five assists might be the biggest surprise of all after totaling just three in his previous 108 minutes this season and he looked very comfortable in the post tonight. He did shoot just 3-of-8 from the field and 1-of-4 from the line, but his owners should feel somewhat confident in Sanders getting his act together as a top-end fantasy center.

Sun Dec 29 201300:39Larry Sanders just misses double-double
Larry Sanders made his first start since injuring his thumb during Saturday's loss to the Wolves with nine points, 10 boards and two steals in 34 minutes.
He had no fouls and no blocks in the loss. Sanders should be able to stick in the starting lineup for the Bucks and we'll certainly monitor how coach Larry Drew uses Sanders and John Henson (ankle). The two did not play together at all on Friday and Henson sat out tonight. Sanders should be owned in all leagues.
