Mon Mar 24 201413:51Nene (MCL) could return to action in April
Nene (sprained MCL) could return to action "after the first week of April," according to Yahoo! Sports.
This meshes with Nene's initial 4-6 timetable and it's terrific news for the Wizards as they look ahead to the playoffs, It doesn't mean much for fantasy purposes, however, as he's unlikely to help owners during a handful of rusty games at the bitter end of the regular season.

Mon Feb 24 201416:48Nene (knee) expected to be out 4-6 weeks
Nene (knee) is expected to be out 4-6 weeks due to a sprained left MCL, according to Yahoo! Sports.
This is good news for Nene and it sounds like he'll be back for the post season. He tends to be on the second half of his prognoses, so being out six weeks would basically end his regular season. The Wizards are likely going to split time with Trevor Booker and Kevin Seraphin at center. Booker has 19 starts and is a bit safer while Seraphin has more upside.

Mon Feb 24 201411:24Report: Wizards worry Nene tore knee ligament
There is concern among the Wizards organization that Nene may have torn a knee ligament on Sunday, according to Wizards beat writer Michael Lee.
A torn ligament would end Nene's season and a source told Lee that "it doesn't look good," but owners should wait for an official diagnosis following Monday's MRI. Kevin Seraphin and Trevor Booker are both candidates to join the starting lineup if Nene's injury is serious, and Al Harrington also stands to earn more minutes off the bench while working on his conditioning.

Sun Feb 23 201420:15Nene (left knee sprain) will not return
Nene suffered a left knee sprain on Sunday night and will not return.
It was a non-contact injury and he will almost certainly get an MRI. Based on how it usually takes Nene a long time to get back from injuries, it's not a bad idea to proactively cut him if there is a must-add player out there. He finished with eight points, four boards, four assists, one steal and one block. In previous games, it's been Trevor "Cook Book" Booker in the kitchen for Nene, but coach Randy Wittman has gone with Kevin Seraphin tonight. Al Harrington is also in the mix. Booker is on the bench, doesn't appear to be hurt and he still looks to be the best speculative add. Of course, we wouldn't cut anyone with reliable value just yet.

Nene not only hit 13-of-19 shots to tie his season high with 30 points on Saturday, but flushed home the game-winning dunk on a pass from John Wall with 0.3 seconds left in the game.
Nene added seven rebounds, three steals and two blocks in the win and appears to be fully healthy again after dealing with an Achilles injury. If he was dropped in your league, go get him.

Wed Feb 12 201423:52Nene stays hot on Wednesday night
Nene scored 21 points against the Rockets on Wednesday with one board, one assist and one steal in 30 minutes.
While he did shoot a sterling 9-of-12 from the field, he did make just 3-of-9 from the line. The Wizards shot 50 percent from the line and from deep, so the missed attempts at the stripe proved costly. As for Nene, he's really in a scoring groove and should be starting in standard leagues right now.

Tue Feb 11 201422:58Nene scores 17 points in 36 minutes
Nene scored 17 points against the Grizzlies on Tuesday during a tough 92-89 loss to go with four boards, three assists, three steals and one block in 36 minutes.
He's scored more than a dozen and in each of his previous 10 games, averaging 32.6 minutes per game Nene playing so many minutes is a little alarming and the Wizards are kind of playing with fire here based on how often he's hurt. He's putting up mid-round value over that span and is a bit of a sell-high player.

Sun Feb 9 201422:36Nene excels at both ends in win vs. Kings
Nene was one of five Wizards players in double-figures during Sunday's win vs. the Kings, as he finished with 18 points, five rebounds, five assists, two steals and three blocks.
Nene's was efficient on offense (6-of-13 FGs, 6-of-7 FTs) and he combined with Marcin Gortat to shut down DeMarcus Cousins defensively, resulting in one of his most well-rounded games of the season. He hasn't missed a game since mid-December, which is a nice surprise, but he'll need to improve his 60.7 percent FT shooting for his value to rise significantly in eight- and nine-cat leagues.

Thu Jan 30 201401:46Nene stays hot in loss to Clippers
Nene hit 7-of-15 shots for 14 points, eight rebounds, six assists and two steals on Wednesday.
Nene is rolling right now and back to form after his Achilles issues. This line isn't much different the ones he's been posting nightly and he should be in all lineups until he cools off again.

Wed Jan 29 201401:41Nene still playing well for Wizards
Nene had 16 points, seven rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block on 7-of-15 shooting in Tuesday's win over the Warriors.
Nene is rolling right now, averaging 15.4 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.2 blocks over his last five games. It's anyone's guess how long he'll be able to stay healthy, but for now he looks like a solid play in any format.

Sat Jan 25 201402:22Nene puts up another nice line in win
Nene turned the ball over a season-high six times against the Suns on Friday during a 101-95 win with 18 points, eight boards, two assists, one steal and one block in 33 minutes.
He has always been a little turnover prone as a big man, but tonight was exceptionally bad. Although, Nene was terrific in just about every other area and has been on cruise control. Fantasy owners should keep him locked and loaded in all lineups.

Wed Jan 22 201422:55Nene bounces back with 17 points vs. BOS
Nene bounced back from an ugly game on Monday, scoring 17 points on Wednesday with nine boards, three assists, one steal and one block in 34 minutes.
Two of his last three games included a shooting percentage of just 20.0 percent, so the 7-of-14 from the field tonight was a positive. Nene has been active in the post and the Wizards use him as a point forward quite a bit, so the stats have been there for him to be owned in standard leagues right now.

Mon Jan 20 201420:12Nene cools off against the Sixers
Nene slowed down against the Sixers on Monday with seven points, five boards, two assists, two steals and two blocks in 23 minutes.
He scored 13.0 points per game in his previous four and a lot of big man have torched the Sixers on the season, so this is a bit of a letdown. His 23 minutes tonight were his fewest since Jan. 7, but there has been no word of an injury. Fantasy owners can stick with Nene as long as he's active.

Wed Jan 15 201422:39Nene strong in another start for Wizards
Nene hit 6-of-15 shots for 19 points, four rebounds, nine assists, two steals and three blocks in his second consecutive start for the Wizards on Wednesday.
The drought is over for Nene and he should be owned in all leagues and can be put into starting lineups until he cools down. He was pretty great tonight, and had 19 points, five boards, five assists, two steals and two blocks in Monday's start. Enough said.

Tue Jan 14 201411:09Nene enjoying return to starting rotation
Nene (achilles) made his first start since his injury and is enjoying his return to the Wizards starting lineup.
"I was on the bench to make my Achilles' better, and he tried to control my minutes," Nene said of coach Randy Wittman. "I'm happy." Wittman changed things up Monday night to include Nene as a starter and even trimmed his rotation to eight players. It remains to be seen how long this rotation (and Nene's health) will last, but it worked for the Wizards on Monday night and fantasy owners should enjoy the ride while it lasts.

Tue Jan 14 201400:29Nene fills it up against the Bulls on Monday
Nene played 36 minutes against the Bulls on Monday, scoring 19 points with five boards, five assists, two steals and two blocks.
He shot 9-of-14 from the field and 1-of-6 from the line in his first start of 2014. His 36 minutes tonight were his most since Nov. 30 and he looks like he'll be worth owning in all leagues again. Although, his owners might want to think about cutting him at the first sign of injury trouble.

Mon Jan 13 201419:29Nene back in the starting lineup on Monday
Nene will start against the Bulls on Monday.
That will move Trevor Booker back to the bench. Nene has played well lately and should be owned in most leagues. In 16 games as a starter, Nene averaged 14.8 points, 6.2 boards, 1.1 blocks and 1.1 steals.

Sat Jan 11 201422:44Nene gives Wizards a lift in 26 minutes
The Wizards got a nice lift on Saturday from Nene, who had eight points, 10 rebounds, six assists, one steal and one block off the bench.
The veteran did his damage in 26 minutes but Washington fell 114-107 for their fifth defeat in the past seven games. Trevor Booker had eight points in 18 minutes in another quiet start at PF, but there are no indications that coach Randy Wittman will meddle with his starting lineup.

Nene scored 12 points on 6-of-15 shooting with five rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block in 29 minutes off the bench on Friday.
Nene's minutes have been rising after a very slow stretch and it's possible he's on your league's waiver wire. Productive when healthy, it's time to pick him up.
