Having received a DNP-CD in the first game of the season, Prince performed well when called upon on Friday, and may be required to play a larger role short-term if Courtney Lee (head) is forced to miss time. It's possible Prince could draw the start at small forward alongside Tony Allen on Saturday versus the Hornets, but regardless of how coach Dave Joerger decides to use Prince he is likely only worth consideration in the very deepest leagues.

Still, Prince's reduced role makes him even less desirable as a fantasy option, and he was already only worth consideration in the deepest leagues last year. Unless serious injuries strike the Grizzlies, it's hard to envision him making a return to relevance in fantasy.

The Grizzlies declined a proposed trade which would have sent Tayshaun Prince and the No. 22 pick to Toronto for John Salmons and the No. 37 pick.

They're still eager to unload him, but are unlikely to find any takers for their unproductive, overpaid veteran SF.
