Mon Dec 23 201318:23Tayshaun Prince still out on Monday
Tayshaun Prince (knee) will not play against the Jazz on Monday.
The Grizzlies will continue to use James Johnson in the starting lineup and get Mike Miller some shots on the wing. Tony Allen has been tremendous lately and is a must-start option. Prince is not worth owning in most leagues with his game not really translating to fantasy.

Fri Dec 20 201313:13Tayshaun Prince (knee) doubtful for Saturday
Tayshaun Prince (knee) did not practice on Friday and is doubtful for Saturday's game against the Knicks.
Prince left Tuesday's game against the Lakers after injuring his knee and has been unable to practice since. Saturday would be the second consecutive game missed for Prince, but he is a great example of a player who is more valuable to his real time than his fantasy team. With averages of just 6.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game this season, Prince is better served on fantasy waiver wires.

Wed Dec 18 201319:42Tayshaun Prince sitting out with sore knee
Tayshaun Prince missed Wednesday's game with a sore knee.
He sat out the second half of Tuesday's game with the injury. Details are sketchy, but we're assuming Prince is day-to-day with his injury.

Wed Dec 18 201302:01Tayshaun Prince sits second half w/ injury
Tayshaun Prince was apparently injured during Tuesday's game and missed the second half of the game, although we're not sure of his injury details.
Prince has been useless in fantasy, but his absence should mean more run for Tony Allen, Jon Leuer and newly-signed James Johnson. Johnson made his Grizzlies debut last night and had two points in four minutes.

Sun Dec 15 201321:35Tayshaun Prince typically lean on stat sheet
Tayshaun Prince had two points, four rebounds and three steals in 26 minutes on Sunday, as the Grizzlies fell at home to the Timberwolves.
The steals are nice but there's simply no way around Prince's anemic offense -- his 6.5 points per game are the lowest since his rookie season in 2002-03. For fantasy purposes, few players do so little with so many minutes.

Tue Nov 26 201300:11Prince scores 16 points with Gasol out
Tayshaun Prince scored 16 points on 7-of-10 shooting (including a three) with one rebound, two assists and one steal in Monday's loss.
Prince will try to pick up some of the slack left by Marc Gasol's departure but he's going to struggle to maintain any real fantasy value. Just keep one eye on him for now.

Thu Oct 31 201302:23Tayshaun Prince scores nine in opener
Tayshaun Prince hit 4-of-4 shots and a 3-pointer for nine points, two rebounds and one assist on Wednesday.
He's still getting over an illness, but sick or not, he's not a guy you want in your fantasy lineup. Quincy Pondexter had 13 points, three assists, a steal, a block and two 3-pointers off the bench, and could steal Prince's job before all is said and done. Just keep an eye on this situation.

Fri Oct 25 201323:36Tayshaun Prince plays 15 minutes in return
Tayshaun Prince played 15 minutes in his return to the lineup, failing to score with three boards and two assists.
He was very sick and it was a mild surprise that he was able to get out on the court before the regular season. Prince's game hasn't translated to fantasy in a while, so he's not someone worth owning in almost any format.

Fri Oct 25 201318:39Tayshaun Prince returning on Friday night
Tayshaun Prince (illness) will play on Friday night.
He has reportedly been very sick and lost 12-15 pounds. There hasn't been much news on the Prince front over the past couple weeks, so it's nice to see he's ready to go. His arrival hurts the prospects of Quincy Pondexter as a late-round pick in deep leagues while Prince's lack of overall production keeps him from standard-league consideration.

Wed Oct 23 201323:02Tayshaun Prince still sidelined for Grizz
Tayshaun Prince missed another game for the Grizzlies with an illness on Wednesday.
He has lost 12-15 pounds with from his stomach illness and doesn't have a timetable to return. Prince hasn't been able to eat and this should not be taken lightly. Quincy Pondexter makes sense as a pick in very deep drafts.

Mon May 27 201321:04Prince 'limited' according to Hollins
Coach Lionel Hollins said that Tayshaun Prince (ankle) will be limited during Monday's Game 4 matchup against the Spurs.
Quincy Pondexter is holding down the fort as a backup wing and has been an unlikely contributor at times during these playoffs. He'll get some extra minutes if Prince cannot go, and both guys will need to step up if the Grizzlies are to stave off elimination tonight.

Sun May 26 201300:07Tayshaun Prince returns after spraining ankle
Tayshaun Prince sprained his ankle during Saturday's Game 3 defeat, finishing with only seven points and one rebound in 21 minutes.
Prince played 16 minutes in Game 2 when he was healthy, and he was on the court late in the fourth quarter and overtime, but his ankle could swell overnight. The Grizzlies return on Monday with their playoff lives at stake, so keep an eye out for updates -- if Tayshaun is limited in any way, Quincy Pondexter (16 points, three 3-pointers) will step into an even bigger role.

Tayshaun Prince sprained his right ankle during Game 3 vs. the Spurs on Saturday, but he's expected to return.
Prince limped off in the second quarter, after the Grizzlies' big early lead had been chipped down to single-digits, but it sounds like he avoided any serious injury.

Sun May 5 201314:43Tayshaun Prince gets treatment on back
Tayshaun Prince received treatment on his back and started the second half.
This doesn't appear to be a serious issue for the 33-year-old forward. Prince made just 3.9 field goals during the regular season with Memphis and isn't a big part of their offense.

Thu Mar 21 201301:04Tayshaun Prince returns to form in win
Tayshaun Prince, who somehow had a double-double on Monday, hit 3-of-13 shots for seven points and three rebounds in Wednesday's win over the Thunder.
That's more like it. Prince is always worth keeping an eye on, but unless you're in a very deep league, chances are high that you can find a better player on your waiver wire.

Tue Mar 19 201302:04Tayshaun Prince double-doubles on Monday
Tayshaun Prince had a double-double with 12 points and 14 boards, adding, four assists and one block in 36 minutes against the Wolves on Monday.
He hasn't really been worth it in fantasy leagues and in is previous 20 games with Memphis, Prince averaged just 9.5 points, 4.7 boards, 0.6 steals, 0.6 blocks and 0.6 triples. He's not really on the radar in standard leagues.

Thu Mar 14 201301:59Tayshaun Prince scores 18 in Grizzlies win
Tayshaun Prince had 18 points and six rebounds on 9-of-15 shooting in Wednesday's tough win over the Clippers, as the Grizzlies quietly won for the 14th time in 15 games.
Prince tied his season high with the Grizzlies, but he needs to shoot lights-out in order to post a line like this one. He's been too inconsistent for fantasy owners to rely upon, but he does do enough to make him worth a look in deep leagues. But the reality is this line is about as much as he's capable of at this point in his career. He also suffered a right hand injury late in the game, but played through it.

Sun Mar 3 201320:45Tayshaun Prince scores 14 pts w/ nice line
In one of his best performances with the Grizzlies, Tayshaun Prince scored 14 points in 28 minutes vs. the Magic on Sunday.
Prince knocked down two 3-pointers and added four rebounds, three assists, one steal and zero turnovers to round out his line. The Grizzlies are 9-3 since trading away Rudy Gay, and Prince's quiet, steady play at SF has been a big reason for their success.

Sun Feb 24 201321:48Grizzlies win w/ five guys in double-digits
All five Grizzlies starters scored double-digit points in Sunday's win over the Nets, led by Zach Randolph's 16 points and 14 rebounds.
The Grizzlies held the Nets to 72 points in the sort of grind-it-out game that they relish. They've won seven straight games and now boast an 8-2 record since trading Rudy Gay and acquiring Tayshaun Prince and Ed Davis (scoreless in five minutes). Prince only had 11 points and one assist tonight, but his teammates have praised his offensive impact and it's quickly showing up in the stat sheet. As noted by NBA writer Jack Appleman, "The Grizzlies were 25th league-wide in assists-to-field-goals made before the trade and have been third since at 64 percent."
