Sun Feb 27 201109:55Coach Paul Silas believes Przybilla will play
After a heart-to-heart talk with newly acquired Joel Przybilla, Bobcats coach Paul Silas believe the two parties are ready to move forward.
Przybilla expressed dissatisfaction with being traded and reluctance to uproot his family from Portland but after discussing his role, Silas believes the big man is on board with team plans. He's likely to be the starting center once he works his way into the rotation.

Sat Feb 26 201114:31Przybilla ready to play for Bobcats
Joel Przybilla passed his physical and is ready to play for the Bobcats, despite some early speculation that he would request a buyout.
Przybilla spoke with Michael Jordan and coach Paul Silas, who apparently talked him into sticking around. He has mentioned that his career in Portland may not be over, but any return to the Trail Blazers will have to wait until next season.

Fri Feb 25 201112:26Przybilla won't play for Bobcats on Friday
Joel Przybilla will arrive in Charlotte on Saturday, meaning he won't play for the Bobcats on Friday.
It doesn't sound as though Dante Cunningham will play tonight, either, and D.J. White won't be eligible since Nazr Mohammed won't yet have passed his physical in Oklahoma City.

Thu Feb 24 201116:43Przybilla and Cunningham dealt to Bobcats
Joel Przybilla and Dante Cunningham will be new faces in the front court of the Charlotte Bobcats after being traded for Gerald Wallace.
Przybilla is more likely to challenge Kwame Brown at starting center but Cunningham may have the edge as time goes along. Neither have demonstrated that they can produce when given the starting role so approach them both with caution.
Thu Feb 24 201103:11Przybilla starts, quiet in Blazers loss
Joel Przybilla started for the Blazers on Wednesday and had four points, seven rebounds and a block in the loss.
If he can stay healthy and avoid being traded, he could be worth a fantasy look as a low-end center.
Wed Feb 23 201119:03Joel Przybilla to start for Blazers
Joel Przybilla is expected to start for the Blazers against the Lakers on Wednesday.
He's come off the bench for four straight games, but is worth keeping an eye on if he's A. not traded, and B. starts getting solid minutes for the Blazers.

Tue Feb 22 201110:01Przybilla to retire if traded?
Joel Przybilla might consider retirement or a buyout if traded.
Przybilla has been linked to the Nets as part of a Devin Harris for Andre Miller swap. The Nets wouldn't want Przybilla anyway with Brook Lopez, Derrick Favors and Kris Humphries taking up all the big man minutes.

Mon Feb 21 201110:43Przybilla on the block for Blazers?
Joel Przybilla could be central to the Blazers' draft-deadline activity, as he's healthy and has an expiring contract.
The Blazers have won six straight games but aren't looking to stay pat, and guys like Andre Miller and Rudy Fernandez have also been mentioned as potential trade bait. Przybilla is a nuts-and-bolts backup center with minimal fantasy appeal, regardless of where he finishes the season.

Sat Jan 22 201120:58Pryzbilla to start until Camby (knee) returns
Joel Przybilla will continue to start at center until Marcus Camby (knee) returns, according to coach Nate McMillan.
If you're in a deep league then this news could carry some weight, but with Camby expected to return in as little as three weeks, there's not much value to be had here. Przybilla and backup Dante Cunningham will cancel out what little standalone value they would have by themselves.

Fri Jan 21 201102:14Joel Przybilla starts, does nothing
Joel Przybilla started at center for the Blazers on Thursday, but only managed two points, seven boards and no blocked shots in 21 minutes. His frontcourt mate Dante Cunningham was just as bad, mustering three points and two boards in 17 minutes.
Even if one of them began playing 48 minutes per, we don't think they'd have any value.
Thu Jan 20 201115:11Blazers undecided on starting center
Coach Nate McMillan said he doesn't know if Joel Przybilla or Dante Cunningham will start in Thursday's game against the Clippers.
With Przybilla supposedly on a 20-minute limit Wednesday thanks to his knees, Cunningham started. But Przybilla ended up playing 29 minutes versus 26 for Cunningham. No matter who starts, we'd rather be using Przybilla as a desperation play in fantasy while Marcus Camby (knee). He's the better rebounder and shot blocker.

Wed Jan 19 201121:53Report: Przybilla to be brought along slowly
Joel Przybilla will have an increased role now that Marcus Camby is out for at least a month, but the Blazers' trainers don't want him playing more than 20 minutes on Wednesday against the Kings.
He'll come off the bench behind Dante Cunningham, and this is a part of the deal if you stashed him following news of Camby's injury. He doesn't score much, but if healthy and playing starter's minutes he can be a decent source of rebounds and blocks.

Wed Jan 19 201110:04McMillan leaning toward starting Przybilla
Coach Nate McMillan said he is strong considering starting Joel Przybilla in place of Marcus Camby (knee surgery).
We're fully expecting to see Przybilla in the starting five when the Blazers play the Kings tonight. In nine starts last season, Przybilla averaged 5.2 points, 9.3 rebounds and 1.8 blocks in just under 30 minutes a night. Now, Przybilla is coming off more knee surgery of his own. Expectations should be held in check.

Tue Jan 18 201123:57McMillan could start Przybilla on Wednesday
Joel Przybilla, who underwent major knee surgery in March after falling in the shower while rehabbing a knee surgery from last December, could become the starter in the aftermath of Marcus Camby's knee injury according to coach Nate McMillan.
We don't know the extent of Camby's timetable at this time but it probably isn't good, and it doesn't really matter here. Przybilla had not played more than 10 minutes in any game prior to Tuesday night, when he played 18 minutes and had six points, seven rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block. Clearly, he fits best as Portland's starting center for as many minutes as he can handle, and deserves a stash in most (if not all) leagues for the possibility he gets healthy and plays starter's minutes.

Wed Jan 5 201103:13Przybilla (ankle) returns to action Tuesday
Joel Przybilla (ankle) returned to action on Tuesday, playing just three minutes without recording any stats other than a turnover.
He has a ways to go before he has any fantasy value, and needs a while to get his conditioning back to the level where he could perform if called upon.

Joel Przybilla returned to action on Tuesday January 4.
Tue Jan 4 201113:45Przybilla expected back tonight
Joel Przybilla (ankle) will return for tonight's game against the Mavericks.
Przybilla has missed the last seven games, so he'll be worked in slowly. He won't have any fantasy value until Marcus Camby gets injured or is traded.

Thu Dec 30 201014:07Przybilla plans on playing Sunday
Joel Przybilla (ankle) is targeting Sunday for his return.
Przybilla has missed the last five games with a sprained ankle and won't play Thursday night. The banged up Blazers could certainly use the true 7-footer.

Thu Dec 23 201010:09Przybilla not going on the road
Joel Przybilla (ankle) will not travel with the Blazers on their three-game road trip that starts Saturday.
The oft-injured Przybilla has a severe sprain. LaMarcus Aldridge is going to continue to have to log huge minutes at both power forward and center. Aldridge is currently averaging a career-high 38.5 minutes per game.
