Mon Sep 24 201820:37Kings looking to De'Aaron Fox to lead faster paced offense
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Sacramento Kings coach Dave Joerger wants his team to run more this season and plans to give speedy point guard De'Aaron Fox all the room he needs.Fox was one of the fastest players in the NBA last year as a rookie, but the Kings offense was uneven most of the season and frequently bogged down in the half-court.With an influx of young, quick players added to an already youthful roster, the hope is that Fox can get Sacramento out and running and, possibly, back into the postseason."The best thing you can do for him is play fast and give him as much room as possible," Joerger said Monday at the Kings practice facility during media day. "To play small and try to do that is best for De'Aaron. He's our franchise guy. I think he is and I think everybody kind of agrees on that."The fifth overall pick in 2017, Fox started 60 games and averaged 11.6 points with 4.4 assists, but shot only 41.2 percent while struggling with an inconsistent mid-range jumpshot. The Kings were... Thu Apr 12 201816:29Kings hope youth movement pays off in near future
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Coach Dave Joerger strongly believes Sacramento's commitment to youth this season will pay off down the line in helping develop the Kings into a playoff contender. How soon that happens remains an open question."It can be frustrating because we're a society that wants a quick change and we want it right now," Joerger said after the final game of his second season in Sacramento. "It just takes time together to get that chemistry. We all want it to happen as fast as possible and we're doing everything we can for that."The Kings took a step back in the standings this season, winning five fewer games on the way to a 27-55 record that left them out of the playoffs for the 12th straight season, the longest active drought in the NBA.But with most of Sacramento's key players age 25 or younger, there might be some reason for optimism for a franchise that seems to be in perpetual rebuilding mode."They've seen enough to know how to react now," veteran Vince Carter said. "They... [More]

Bogdanovic will not move to the NBA next season and will stay committed to Fenerbahce of the Euroleague, David Pick of Basketball Insiders reports.
The Suns continue to patiently wait for the arrival of their Serbian shooting guard, who they hold the rights to after drafting him with the 27th overall pick of the 2014 draft. They will have to wait at least one more year before he makes the jump to the NBA, but in his 2014-15 run with Fenerbahce, Bogdanovic posted averages of 10.6 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.8 assists.

Bogdanovic played efficiently in this game as he ended up with 12 points (5-9 FG, 0-0 FT, 2-5 3Pt), six rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 26 minutes of play on Wednesday, azcentral reports.
Bogdanovic has impressed many during his run in the international tournament, including Suns General Manager Ryan McDonough. "He was very efficient and got his spots and got the shots he wants to shoot," said McDonough following Serbia's victory over a Greece squad that entered the game undefeated. "I'm impressed with his playmaking. He's got long arms. He's strong and he has a feel for the game." Including the 21 points Bogdanovic put up in that contest, he is currently averaging 11.4 points (0.492 FG, 0.700 FT, 0.394 3Pt), 2.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 0.9 steals through 27 minutes. He will look to add onto those totals against France on Friday.
Wed Jul 9 201422:24Bogdanovic not coming over to Suns this year
Bogdan Bogdanovic and the Suns have agreed in writing that he will not be in the NBA this season.
That means his cap hold will be expunged for the 2015 season. The Suns still have a ton of cap space and now with LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Carmelo Anthony not going there, they can focus on Eric Bledsoe. At this point they would match any deal for Bledsoe. Bogdanovic has an 2016 opt-out clause, which is likely the soonest he'll be coming over.

Mon Jul 7 201415:34Bogdan Bogdanovic can opt out in 2016
Suns draft pick Bogdan Bogdanovic signed a four-year contract with Turkish club Fenerbahce Ulker, but the contract has a 2016 NBA out clause.
An NBA team can still buyout a player from his contract early, but the Suns expected Bogdanovic to spend at least another two seasons overseas. Bogdanovic is a 6'6" guard who won the Euroleague Rising Stars Award this past season. He compiled averages of 14.8 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.6 steals while shooting 37 percent from beyond the arc.

Thu Jul 3 201412:23Bogdan Bogdanovic close to signing in Turkey
Bogdan Bogdanovic is reportedly close to signing a deal with Turkish club Fenerbahce.
Bogdanovic was selected by the Suns with the 27th pick of this year's draft with the intention of keeping him overseas for at least a year, so this doesn't come as a shock to the system for Phoenix. The 21-year-old had been playing with Paritzan of the Serbian League, but Paritzan is undergoing a rebuild so Fenerbahce should give Bogdan a better chance to experience some success successovic after reaching the EuroLeague final 16 for four straight seasons.
