Fri Dec 3 201000:32Walter held to 33 yards in Week 13
Kevin Walter was held to 33 yards on four receptions against the Eagles in Week 13.
Walter was targeted six times, including a fourth-down late in the game where he was unable to come up with a back-shoulder sideline throw. Walter has cleared 40 yards just once since Week 2.
Thu Dec 2 201019:11Walter, Anderson active for Texans in Week 13
Texans WRs Kevin Walter (calf) and David Anderson (hamstring) are active for Thursday night's Week 13 game at Philadelphia.
More good news for Matt Schaub. Walter has been unreliable as a fantasy option, but Schaub will have his full complement of receivers to exploit Asante Samuel's absence. Texans inactives: QB Matt Leinart, WR Dorin Dickerson, TE Owen Daniels, TE Anthony Hill, OG Kasey Studdard, OG Shelley Smith, DE Jesse Nading, and LB Xavier Adibi.
Wed Dec 1 201016:50Kevin Walter limited, questionable
Kevin Walter (calf, questionable) was limited in Texans practice Wednesday.
Walter isn't a good fantasy option when healthy, so he's almost totally off the radar at anything less than 100 percent. Andre Johnson and Joel Dreessen are the only Texans pass catchers worth fantasy starts Thursday night.
Tue Nov 30 201015:51Kevin Walter limited on Tuesday
Kevin Walter (calf) was limited in Tuesday's practice.
Fourth receiver David Anderson (hamstring) was also limited. The injuries at wide receiver go a long way toward explaining why Jacoby Jones is being relieved of kickoff return duties this week. Jones should see increased snaps at Philly.

Sun Nov 28 201017:03Kevin Walter held to 12 yards in Week 12
Kevin Walter was held to just one reception for 12 yards against the Titans in Week 12.
Andre Johnson was occupying Cortland Finnegan for much of the afternoon, so Walter has no excuse for the lack of production. He was targeted just twice, including a lazy drop on third down. With just one game over two receptions since the beginning of October, he's not worthy of a roster spot going forward.
Mon Nov 15 201010:40Walter says plan not to get him the ball more
Kevin Walter said there was no plan to get him the ball more Sunday but that he simply had more room to work with the Jaguars rolling their coverage to Andre Johnson.
Walter had been without a catch since Week 5 before Sunday's six-catch, 90-yard, one-touchdown performance. "I don't think we had a plan to get me the ball," he said. "Nothing was said about it. You go with what they (defense) give you." Despite the mini-outburst, we'd still be leery of using Walter, especially in Week 11 against the Jets.

Sun Nov 14 201016:52Kevin Walter has 90 yards, touchdown
Kevin Walter caught six passes for 90 yards and a touchdown in the Texans' Week 10 loss to the Jaguars.
Walter hauled in all six of his targets, including a game-tying 25-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. The possession threat entered the game catch-less since Week 5, but appears to have retaken the No. 2 receiver job after a series of drops by Jacoby Jones. Walter still won't be a recommended fantasy play against the Jets' stingy pass defense in Week 11.
Sun Nov 7 201018:21Kevin Walter held without a catch
Kevin Walter was held without a catch against the Chargers in Week 9.
The box score shows zero targets for Walter, but he was the intended receiver on two plays that resulted in defensive penalties. He's now gone three straight games without a catch, and Jacoby Jones appears to have passed him on the depth chart.
Tue Nov 2 201001:28Kevin Walter catches zero of five targets
Kevin Walter caught no balls on five targets in Monday's Week 8 loss to Indianapolis.
He can be safely dropped in all formats, as Jacoby Jones has passed him on the depth chart.
Sun Oct 17 201017:58Kevin Walter goes target-less in win
Kevin Walter wasn't targeted once in the Texans' Week 6 win.
With Jacoby Jones and Owen Daniels both healthy, Walter's numbers are in serious decline. Consider putting him on waivers in 12-team leagues.
Sun Oct 3 201019:31Walter has quiet game in win
Kevin Walter caught four passes for 35 yards in Sunday's win over the Raiders.
Thanks to Andre Johnson's (ankle) absence, Walter saw a ton of shutdown corner Nnamdi Asomugha. Walter was only able to shake loose for some underneath stuff. The best news for Walter was that Jacoby Jones failed to capitalize on his chance with drops and then left with a leg injury. Walter is locked into the No. 2 receiver job and is on pace for 80 catches and 968 yards. He's a solid WR3 in the right matchup.
Sun Sep 26 201017:08Walter finds end zone for third straight week
Kevin Walter caught three passes for 34 yards and a touchdown against the Cowboys in Week 3.
Walter was sitting on one catch for five yards until late in the game with Dallas sitting on a 27-6 lead. He's now hauled in a touchdown reception in all three games while splitting No. 2 receiver duties with Jacoby Jones.
Tue Aug 24 201014:34Kevin Walter received $11 million guaranteed
The five-year contract Kevin Walter signed with the Texans this offseason contains $11 million guaranteed, including all of his 2011 base salary.
The contract was initially reported to contain $8 million guaranteed (Walter's initial $5 million roster bonus and $3 million 2010 salary), but he's going to be a Texan through at least 2011. FOX Sports' Adam Caplan does confirm that Jacoby Jones still has a chance to beat Walter out for a starting job. If that happens, Walter will be safe as a reserve next season.

Sun Aug 22 201012:34Walter starts on Saturday night
Kevin Walter started opposite Andre Johnson in Saturday's exhibition game and caught one pass for 32 yards.
Jacoby Jones came on as the No. 3 receiver and had two catches for 29 yards. As the veteran with the big contract, Walter continues to keep his nose in front of this battle. But at the very least, there will be a rotation here. We still prefer Jones as our flier.
