Forsett had 14 carries for 66 rushing yards and a touchdown, as well as three catches on four targets for 31 receiving yards during Sunday's 38-10 rout of the Panthers.
Despite Bernard Pierce (thigh) being active after missing Week 3, Forsett got the start and dominated the early touches, including an 11-yard touchdown in the second quarter that put the Ravens up for good. Forsett eventually finished with one fewer carry that backup Lorenzo Taliaferro, though most of the latter's touches came with the Ravens well ahead. Of note is that Pierce didn't get a single carry, giving Forsett the current lead for touches out of the Ravens' backfield.

Forsett had 63 yards on 11 carries and two yards on four receptions in Sunday's 23-21 win over the Browns.
Fosett started in place of Bernard Pierce (thigh), but rookie Lorenzo Taliaferro got more touches, finishing the day with 91 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries. Pierce could be back as soon as next week, and the Ravens still seem likely go with a committee approach in the backfield this season. Forsett is the clear top option for passing downs, but early-down work could be harder to come by.

Forsett will start Sunday's game against the Browns in place of Bernard Pierce, who is inactive due to a thigh injury, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Forsett has been solid this season, rushing for 70 yards in Week 1 and then 56 yards and a touchdown in Week 2. Sunday's matchup is a solid one, as the Browns are 26th in the NFL in rushing yards allowed through two games, including 174 yards to the New Orleans Saints in Week 2.

Forsett carried eight times for 56 yards and caught four passes for 16 yards in Thursday's 26-6 win over the Steelers.
While Bernard Pierce's second-quarter fumble in Week 1 led to Forsett seeing added carries in the Ravens' opener, Pierce retained his starting assignment Thursday, recording 22 carries for 96 yards in the process. While Pierce figures to continue to head the Ravens' backfield in the coming weeks, Forsett, who just missed capping a 41-yard run on Thursday with a TD, appears to have cemented a complementary role in the team's offense that affords him some utility in deeper formats.

Coach John Harbaugh declined to name a starting running back for Thursday's game against the Steelers, ESPN.com reports. When asked who would start the contest Harbaugh noted, "Bernard Pierce, Justin Forsett -- they'll both play a lot. Lorenzo Taliaferro will be a big part of it, too."
After gaining 70 yards on 11 carries in Sunday's season opener, it wouldn't be surprising to see Forsett get a chance to build off the solid effort, but his added Week 1 opportunities came as a result of Pierce's second quarter fumble. Given that it was the first fumble of his career, Pierce figures to get a chance to bounce back in Week 2, with some form of time-share -- where the Ravens turn to the hot hand -- likely to result.
Mon Sep 8 201414:43Forsett's teammate, Ray Rice, released by Ravens
Forsett's teammate, Ray Rice, has been released by the Ravens.
Forsett rushed 11 times for 70 yards with a TD and caught five passes for 14 yards in Sunday's loss to the Bengals, with his Week 1 role expanded after presumed starter Bernard Piece was benched following a second-quarter fumble. While the team's Week 2 running back pecking order has yet to be clarified, given that Pierce is already owned in most formats, Forsett is worth adding in order to see if the Ravens continue to roll with him Thursday against the Steelers, following his productive effort Sunday.

Forsett carried 11 times for 70 yards with a TD and caught five passes for 14 yards in Sunday's 23-16 loss to the Bengals.
Meanwhile, Bernard Piece carried six times for 14 yards, with a second-quarter fumble that led to his benching Sunday. With Ray Rice out another week, Forsett could hold some value in Week 2 against the Steelers, though it's unclear if he'll carry the bulk of the load Thursday, or if Pierce will have a chance to re-enter the equation. In any case, Forsett is worth a pickup for those with both a roster spot and a short-term need at running back, though his prospects once Rice returns to action are unclear.

Forsett and Lorenzo Taliaferro will likely split touches if Bernard Pierce (concussion) is unable to play in Week 1 against the Bengals, ESPN.com reports.
Forsett was held out of Thursday's preseason finale, indicating that he'd likely get the start over Taliaferro, who ran for 88 yards on 25 carries. Of course, with Bernard Pierce's concussion considered mild, the more likely scenario has Forsett and Taliaferro splitting backup duties, with the former a bigger factor in the third-down work, and the latter a better bet to vulture a touchdown.

Forsett had 30 yards on seven carries in Saturday's preseason game against the Redskins.
With Ray Rice suspended for the first two regular-season games, and Bernard Pierce exiting Saturday's exhibition contest due to a potential concussion, there's some chance that Forsett and Lorenzo Taliaferro will have to carry the load in Week 1. More likely than not, Pierce will be ready by Week 1, but that would still leave Forsett and Taliaferro to handle the backup duties. While Taliaferro has generally been more impressive this preseason, both players have done a nice job for the Ravens.

Forsett gained 10 yards on two carries and 24 yards on two receptions in Saturday's preseason game against the Cowboys. He also fumbled for the second week in a row.
Forsett was once again outplayed by rookie Lorenzo Taliaferro, his primary competition to back-up Bernard Pierce for the first two weeks of the season while Ray Rice is suspended. Forsett offers little in the way of upside, but he could see third-down work early in the season.

Forsett gained 29 yards on seven carries and 13 yards on one reception in Thursday's preseason opener against the 49ers.
Working as the No. 3 running back, Forsett turned in a solid performance, as did his position mates. With Ray Rice suspended for the first two weeks of the regular season, Forsett and fourth-round rookie Lorenzo Taliaferro are competing for touches behind presumed fill-in starter Bernard Pierce. Taliaferro was more impressive than Forsett on Thursday, as the rookie gained a well-earned 71 yards on 13 carries. While both Forsett and Taliaferro have a shot to open the year as the No. 2 running back, touches may be hard to come by once Rice returns. That said, with Rice and Pierce trying to bounce back from lousy 2013s, there may be some opportunity for another back to break through.
Fri Jul 18 201409:03Forsett to have prominent role with Rice out
The Baltimore Sun expects Justin Forsett to "provide value as a third-down back" during Ray Rice's suspension.
With Rice expected to get a multi-game ban to open the season, Bernard Pierce is the favorite for early-down and short-yardage work with veteran Forsett mixing in on passing downs and handling blitz pick-up duties. Forsett knows new OC Gary Kubiak's offense from their time together in Houston. Rookie Lorenzo Taliaferro will also be in the mix for backfield work. It's a camp battle to watch.

Thu Jun 12 201410:52Justin Forsett getting second reps at OTAs
Justin Forsett is running ahead of Lorenzo Taliaferro at OTAs.
Throughout offseason work, the pecking order for Ravens running backs has gone Ray Rice, Forsett, Taliaferro. Bernard Pierce (shoulder surgery) has been sidelined. Forsett could very well open the season as Pierce's passing-down complement once Rice's suspension is handed down.

Justin Forsett (foot) says he's 100 percent healthy.
Forsett broke his foot in Week 12 and ended the season on injured reserve. He inked a one-year deal with the Ravens last week and will compete for No. 3 duties. Forsett has reliable hands and can hold up in pass protection.

Fri Apr 4 201412:09Ravens add RB Justin Forsett on 1-year deal
Ravens signed RB Justin Forsett, formerly of the Jaguars, to a one-year contract.
Forsett, 28, carried the ball just six times for 31 yards in nine games for Jacksonville last season and battled a foot injury for much of the season. He broke a bone in the foot in Week 12 but appears to be healthy now. Forsett, who owns a career 4.9 YPC average, will battle Cierre Wood and others for No. 3 duties.

Tue Mar 11 201408:47Jags release RB Justin Forsett, save $1.15M
Jaguars released RB Justin Forsett.
Forsett, 28, inked a two-year deal last offseason but carried the ball just six times for 31 yards while battling injuries. Forsett landed on I.R. in December with a broken foot and is questionable for OTAs. The move saves the Jaguars $1.15 million. Jordan Todman and Denard Robinson now sit atop the depth chart.

Wed Jan 1 201410:04Justin Forsett to be released
The Jaguars are expected to release RB Justin Forsett.
Forsett's first year in Jacksonville resulted in six carries for 31 yards and nine appearances. Battling a foot injury and due $1.1 million in 2014, there's no way he'll be back even though Maurice Jones-Drew is hitting the open market. For now, we'd guess the Jags roll with Jordan Todman and a draft pick in their backfield going forward.

Mon Dec 9 201312:51Justin Forsett lands on injured reserve
Jaguars placed RB Justin Forsett (foot) on injured reserve, ending his season.
Forsett broke a bone in his foot during Week 12, losing out on a chance for real action as Maurice Jones-Drew battles a hamstring pull. Forsett's season ends with just six carries for 31 yards and 15 catches for 82 yards in nine games. Due $1.1 million in 2014 base salary, the Jags should be able to find better value for their money by drafting a running back.

Mon Nov 25 201315:11Justin Forsett out 4-6 weeks w/ broken foot
Jaguars RB Justin Forsett has been diagnosed with a broken foot, and will be sidelined 4-6 weeks.
He'll likely be placed on injured reserve. The news leaves Jordan Todman as Maurice Jones-Drew's primary breather back, and cracks the door back open for Denard Robinson to receive carries. MJD is the only Jags back worth owning.

Mon Nov 25 201309:51Justin Forsett headed for MRI on foot
Jaguars RB Justin Forsett will have an MRI on his foot Monday.
Forsett went down while catching a nine-yard pass from Chad Henne. "I don't know what it is yet," he said. "I still have full range of motion and everything but it still hurts." Jordan Todman -- not Denard Robinson -- stepped into the backup role.
