The right-hander also made the All-Star team for the first time.But Jeffress hasn't been able to find the same form this year. But the right-hander, who turns 32 on Sept. 21, has struggled this year, going 3-4 with a 5.02 ERA and spending time on the injured list.The Brewers also designated outfielder Troy Stokes Jr. and right-hander Aaron Wilkerson for assignment to create space on their 40-man roster.Right-hander Jimmy Nelson and left-hander Brent Suter were reinstated from the 60-day injured list. MILWAUKEE (AP) — Injured Brewers pitcher Brent Suter says he's no longer allowed in the dugout during the NL Championship Series. He was with his teammates for Game 1 against the Los Angeles Dodgers.Suter tweeted about the situation before Game 2 on Saturday and then deleted his post. A spokesman for Major League Baseball says players who are not on the 40-man roster are not allowed in the dugout during playoff games.Suter tweeted an apology and asked for MLB to let him back in. The gregarious left-hander promised "to behave and be only mildly weird!" before the post was taken down.The 29-year-old Suter went 8-7 with a 4.44 ERA in 20 games this year before he was sidelined by a torn ligament in his left elbow. MILWAUKEE (AP) — The Milwaukee Brewers announced they had claimed right-hander Jordan Lyles off waivers from the San Diego Padres on Sunday.The 27-year-old Lyles is 2-4 with a 4.29 ERA in 24 appearances, including eight starts, this season."He's always had a really good arm. He's proven he has some versatility being able to throw out of the 'pen, and he's made some starts this year," Brewers general manager David Stearns said. "We think he adds to overall level of depth in our pitching staff right now."Lyles, a former first-round pick of the Houston Astros, signed a one-year, $750,000 deal with the Padres to start the season. MILWAUKEE (AP) — The Milwaukee Brewers acquired second baseman Jonathan Schoop in a trade with the Baltimore Orioles, adding another option to a crowded infield as they make a push for the playoffs.The Brewers sent second baseman Jonathan Villar and two prospects to Baltimore.Schoop was the second infielder Milwaukee acquired in the last few days before Tuesday's non-waiver trade deadline.
