Sat Mar 1 201418:27Kris Humphries will start vs. the Pacers
Kris Humphries will make another start vs. the Pacers on Saturday.
Jared Sullinger is active and will come off the bench for the Celtics. With Kelly Olynyk (toe) still out, Humphries should still see minutes in the 20s as the starter. He's a bit of a risky play, especially against one of the best defensive centers in the NBA.

Wed Feb 26 201422:46Kris Humphries starts, plays 17 minutes
Kris Humphries started on Wednesday, but played just 17 minutes and finished with 10 points, five rebounds, a steal and no blocks in a win over the Hawks.
He was benched for a long stretch of time by Brad Stevens, who can't seem to figure out if he loves or hates Humps. He went on a nice streak earlier this season, but hasn't proven to be reliable over long stretches. And after going for 19 points, eight boards and two blocks on Saturday, he was nearly a no-show tonight. And once Jared Sullinger is back from his concussion, things will get even trickier.

Sun Feb 23 201401:52Humphries goes for 19 and eight in loss
Kris Humphries scored 19 points on 9-of-15 shooting with eight rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks in Saturday's loss to the Kings.
Humphries can amass value pretty quickly when he's hot and tonight's line is a reminder of a stretch about a month ago when he looked indispensable. However, owners are very aware of how the Celtics' frontcourt can change on a whim and Jared Sullinger was out with a mild concussion. Humph is worth a hard look but he's not a must-add player.

Sat Feb 22 201420:39Kris Humphries will start vs. Kings on Sat.
Kris Humphries will start against the Kings on Saturday night.
It makes sense for the Celtics to put Humphries out there because of the matchup against DeMarcus Cousins. Kelly Olynyk should still get his minutes in the 20s and he may wind up starting on Monday night. Humphries is likely a better option in daily formats for tonight.

Wed Feb 12 201423:09Kris Humphries plays well, Sullinger off
Kris Humphries had 15 points, six rebounds and a block off the bench on Wednesday.
Jared Sullinger couldn't get anything going so Brad Stevens turned to Humps tonight. Outside of a 10-point game on Sunday, Sullinger had scored 4, 0, 3 and 2 points in his most recent games. It's no coincidence that Sullinger disappeared tonight, but it's hard to imagine one game changing Stevens' game plan. For now, ignore Humphries and plan on riding Sullinger after the All-Star break.

Sun Feb 9 201420:40Kris Humphries logs 23 minutes in defeat
Kris Humphries finished Sunday's home loss with 10 points and three rebounds in 23 minutes, the first time in February that he's played more than 13 minutes.
Jared Sullinger had a bare-bones double-double in 36 minutes at center, and as long as he's healthy it's hard to envision Humphries with reliable value in coach Brad Stevens' his frontcourt rotation.

Sun Feb 2 201416:55Kris Humphries falling out of the rotation
Kris Humphries played just 13 minutes against the Magic on Sunday with two points and three boards.
His minutes have really taken a hit with Brandon Bass playing well. In his last five, Humphries averaged 8.2 points, 5.2 boards, 0.2 blocks and 0.2 steals in 18.6 minutes. He's on the short list of players worth cutting in most leagues for now

Sat Feb 1 201413:11Kris Humphries (knee) back at practice Sat.
Kris Humphries (knee) returned to practice on Saturday, as expected, clearing the way for him to play on Sunday.
He was never in danger of sitting out, but the Celtics gave him a routine maintenance day off Friday. Humphries is earning $12 million in the final year of his contract and he also mentioned after Saturday's practice that he hopes to remain with the franchise beyond this season.

Fri Jan 31 201417:34Kris Humphries (knee) misses practice
Kris Humphries (knee) missed practice on Friday and is expected to play on Sunday.
"We give him an extra day off every now and again, just to heal some nagging little things," coach Brad Stevens said. "But it's nothing big. He's got a little bit of a knee that we just wanted to give him an extra day off. He'll play Sunday." He moved to a bench role to start Wednesday, but it didn't affect his numbers with a 13-9 line vs. Philly. He's still worth owning in most leagues.

Sun Jan 26 201421:29Kris Humphries quiet in 18 minutes vs. Nets
Kris Humphries initially shifted to a backup role on Sunday, but he started the third quarter and finished with six points, five rebounds and zero blocks in 18 minutes vs. the Nets.
It remains to be seen whether coach Brad Stevens will go back to Humphries as a starter vs. the Knicks (with Carmelo Anthony at PF) on Tuesday. The Celtics' veteran big man came in averaging 9.8 points, 8.7 rebounds, 0.7 steals and 1.8 blocks in 26 minutes per game in January, and owners should keep a sharp eye on his playing time going forward.

Tue Jan 21 201423:03Khris Humphries goes for 14 & 13 in loss
Khris Humphries had 14 points, 13 rebounds, a steal and no blocks on 7-of-10 shooting in Tuesday's loss to the Heat.
Humps has now double-doubled in two straight games, playing 29 minutes in each of them. He had just two points and six boards last Friday, but is back on track after his last couple outings.

Sun Jan 19 201421:13Kris Humphries bounces back w/ 18 & 12
After playing just 11 minutes vs. the Lakers on Friday, Kris Humphries bounced back with 18 points on 8-of-15 shooting, 12 rebounds and two blocks in 29 minutes against the Magic.
Rookie center Kelly Olynyk was red-hot off the bench in Boston's previous game, which accounts for Humphries' dramatic dip in playing time, and hopefully it will prove to have been a one-time occurrence. Humphries came in averaging 8.3 points, 8.7 rebounds, 0.7 steals and 1.7 blocks in six starts this season.

Fri Jan 17 201422:26Olynyk gets hot, Humphries plays 11 minutes
Kris Humphries scored two points and grabbed six rebounds in just 11 minutes in a loss to the Lakers on Friday, ceding minutes to backup center Kelly Olynyk.
Olynyk had a career night and it's tempting to dismiss this as a fluke. On the other hand, the Celtics ultimately have more incentive to develop their rookie than to demonstrate the value of a veteran whose expiring $12 million contract would be difficult to trade, and whom they're unlikely to re-sign as a free agent. Humphries' recent stretch of nice games may have been a temporary phenomenon, but owners should observe Boston's rotations for a few more games before making any decisions.

Mon Jan 13 201423:45Kris Humphries can't keep up with the Rockets
Kris Humphries had a rough outing against Rockets on Monday with four points, eight boards, two assists and three blocks on 2-of-7 shooting.
The Celtics were absolutely crushed inside on both ends tonight and the 104-92 score doesn't even tell the story. Humphries still blocked three shots and made the outing at least somewhat worthwhile. He's worth owning in standard leagues.

Sun Jan 12 201401:49Kris Humphries scores 10 points vs. Blazers
Kris Humphries scored 10 points with eight boards, two assists, two steals and three blocks in 30 minutes against the Blazers.
He was exposed a little bit on defense and is struggling a little more when he's out of the paint. On the other hand, Humphries has been locked in as the starter for the Celtics over their last three games, averaging 10.6 points, 10. boards, 1.3 steals and 2.0 blocks in 32.7 minutes. If he's still sitting around on the waiver wire, it's probably worth it to grab him to see if it will continue.

Sat Jan 11 201403:00Humphries goes for big 16 and 14 line
Kris Humphries scored 16 points on 5-of-10 shooting with 14 rebounds, two steals and three blocks over 36 minutes in Friday's loss to the Warriors.
Humphries also hit 6-of-6 free throws for good measure and while some might be looking at the Blake Griffin thrunk or the Stephen Curry game-winner tonight, fantasy owners are looking at a must-own player right now.

Thu Jan 9 201401:31Kris Humphries starts despite ankle injury
Kris Humphries not only returned from his ankle injury, but started over Jared Sullinger for the Celtics, finishing with six points, eight rebounds and four assists on 3-of-5 shooting in 32 minutes before fouling out of Wednesday's loss to the Clippers.
Humps was playing very well before the injury and while he didn't have it tonight, the fact he started is important. He could be a solid fantasy addition to any team once he gets going again after his injury. But the most important thing he did tonight was show up in the latest Blake Griffin poster, which is attached in the link. DeAndre Jordan's reaction to Griffin's semi-dunk is the best.

Wed Jan 8 201422:07Kris Humphries could start, Sullinger benched
If he's able to play, Kris Humphries (ankle) will start for the Celtics in place of Jared Sullinger for Wednesday's game vs. the Clippers.
Sullinger had two flagrant fouls in 24 seconds on Tuesday night, but one of them was rescinded. It's unclear if this move is a punitive measure with Sully's numerous flagrant fouls on the year or if it will stick. The Celtics seem to be a better team with Sullinger on the court, so this would be an interesting move. Humphries was playing some good ball before his mild ankle sprain and is worth a look in standard leagues.

Wed Jan 8 201413:27Kris Humphries (ankle) will play vs. Clippers
Kris Humphries (ankle) will be active for Wednesday's game vs. the Clippers.
Humphries is averaging 12.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.0 blocks over his past five games, cutting into the playing time of slumping and injured Jared Sullinger (hand). He was also expected to play on Tuesday before being ruled out at the last minute, so fantasy owners should confirm his status before tip-off.

Tue Jan 7 201419:35Update: Kris Humphries (ankle) is out tonight
Updating a previous item, Kris Humphries (ankle) will not play against the Nuggets on Tuesday.
He has a mild ankle sprain and missed Monday's practice. The Celtics have used Humphries as their primary bench big man over the past week, so they will likely look to Kelly Olynyk a little more tonight.
