Fri Nov 16 2012 | 20:40 | Carlos Delfino (groin) out for Friday night |
Carlos Delfino (groin) will not play against the Blazers on Friday. |
Delfino dealt with a groin injury last year and it cost him a handful of games. Chandler Parsons has already been playing 38 minutes per game and he could clear the 40-minute mark tonight. Toney Douglas and Marcus Morris could also pick up some scraps for the Rockets. |

Fri Nov 16 2012 | 16:01 | Carlos Delfino (groin) game-time decision |
Carlos Delfino (groin) will be a game-time decision vs. the Blazers on Friday. |
Chandler Parson is already playing the eighth-most minutes of anyone in the NBA at 38.3 minutes per game, while James Harden is second in the league at 39.7 per game. Toney Douglas could absorb extra playing time if Delfino can't suit up. |

Tue Nov 13 2012 | 01:19 | Delfino hits two threes off the bench |
Carlos Delfino hit two 3-pointers on Monday, scoring eight points on 3-of-10 shooting with four rebounds and three assists in 24 minutes off the bench. |
In his current role and with Chandler Parsons (25 points) playing heavy minutes, Delfino is probably best suited for a 3-point shooting role for your squad. If he can hit two threes per game in that role, anything else he provides will be gravy on top. |

Sat Nov 10 2012 | 23:50 | Carlos Delfino quiet again, scores five pts |
Carlos Delfino hit a low note in Saturday's victory, scoring five points on 2-of-7 FGs. |
Delfino played his usual 23 minutes off the bench, and his owners should either cut him or get used to the see-sawing value -- as long as James Harden and Chandler Parsons are healthy, he's a 3-point specialist. |

Sat Nov 10 2012 | 04:17 | Delfino scores eight points on Friday |
Carlos Delfino hit 3-of-9 shots (including two threes) on Friday against the Grizzlies, scoring eight points with four rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block, and two 3-point buckets. |
We've warned you guys about Delfino's overall inconsistency, but in this case while the scoring was down he did enough in other categories to make tonight a relative win. He's posting mid-to-late round value right now and by virtue of that he should be owned in most 8- and 9-cat formats. |

Wed Nov 7 2012 | 23:55 | Carlos Delfino comes through w/ 19 points |
Carlos Delfino came off the bench for 19 points, five rebounds, two steals and four 3-pointers on 6-of-14 shooting Wednesday. |
We were high on Delfino coming in, but he got off to a slow start. Chandler Parsons (3-of-9, 8 points) is still the starter, but if Delfino stays hot, he will hold some value off the bench. If you're hurting for 3-pointers, Delfino has already hit 10 in four games. |

Sun Nov 4 2012 | 00:32 | Delfino quiet as Rockets fall in overtime |
The Rockets fell in overtime on Saturday, as Carlos Delfino scored just two points on 1-of-7 shooting off the bench. |
Five of Delfino's attempts were from downtown, which is typical, and he will be a feast or famine player all year long. With James Harden in town, and Chandler Parsons dominating minutes at SF (he logged 47 more minutes on Saturday), there's no longer much upside for Delfino in a bench role. |

Sat Nov 3 2012 | 02:20 | Delfino struggles on Friday vs. Hawks |
Carlos Delfino went cold on Friday against the Hawks, hitting just 2-of-8 shots for seven points with two rebounds, two assists, and two steals in 26 minutes. |
These are the breaks of owning a streaky distance shooter, as Delfino hit just 1-of-5 shots from deep but still held some value for the two steals. He's still worth owning in 12-team leagues after hitting five 3-point shots in his last game, and his current role looking stable for the time-being. |

Thu Oct 25 2012 | 00:58 | Delfino scores 20 and hits 4 triples vs. NOH |
Carlos Delfino scored 20 points including four threes on 7-of-15 from the field in 30 minutes on Wednesday. |
He launched nine attempts from beyond the arc and the Rockets drew up several kick-out plays for the former Buck. He can make fill it up from downtown and he's certainly worthy of a pick late in drafts for owners that would like to bolster their three-point shooting. |

Thu Oct 18 2012 | 00:43 | Carlos Delfino hits a few triples on Wednesda |
Carlos Delfino had 14 points, four rebounds, three assists, one steal, one blocks and three triples in 19 minutes |
This was his best outing and McHale finally let him loose tonight. However, McHale has driven owners crazy with his funky rotation, so even though Delfino has some upside for threes, owners should draft him at their own peril. We'd suggest letting him go undrafted in most formats. |

Tue Oct 16 2012 | 01:27 | Delfino plays just nine minutes on Monday |
Carlos Delfino played just 10 minutes off the bench in Monday's exhibition loss, scoring six points on 2-of-3 shooting with two threes and two assists. |
Delfino has come off the bench for the entire preseason, and while the minutes are reflective of Kevin McHale wanting to see other guys, we'll want to get some sort of clarification about Delfino's role before recommending a late-round selection. Starter Chandler Parsons has been steady thus far, and tonight he scored 12 points on 5-of-9 shooting with two threes, two boards, and two assists in 22 minutes. |

Sat Oct 13 2012 | 03:12 | Delfino plays 26 minutes, improves on Friday |
Carlos Delfino hit 3-of-7 shots from the field (including two threes) for nine points with two rebounds, two assists, and a steal in 26 minutes off the bench. |
Delfino has come off the bench for both of the Rockets' preseason games while Chandler Parsons has started and held his ground, for the most part. Delfino opened with a 1-of-8 stinker from the field on Wednesday but settled in nicely tonight. With a 26-30 mpg role whether starting or coming off the bench, Delfino is a strong bet to return late-round value. It's worth noting that Delfino saw 23 minutes in the preseason opener when Jeremy Lamb (foot) wasn't sidelined like he was tonight. |

Thu Oct 4 2012 | 10:46 | Carlos Delfino arrives at Rockets camp |
Carlos Delfino (visa issues) has joined the Rockets in training camp. |
Delfino's arrival was slightly delayed, but he's now arrived in training camp where he'll compete for minutes at both small forward and shooting guard. Owners in need of 3-pointers toward the end of their draft can give Delfino a long look, and his value will go up if he winds up in the starting lineup. |

Tue Oct 2 2012 | 17:54 | Delfino (visa issues) to arrive by Thursday |
Carlos Delfino (visa issues) is expected to join the Rockets in time for practice on Thursday. |
Delfino is still 30 years old should be in good shape after playing for Argentina in the Olympics, but he needs training camp to adapt to new teammates and Kevin McHale's system. He remains a promising value pick in the late rounds, thanks to his voluminous 3-point totals. |

Mon Oct 1 2012 | 12:29 | Visa issues cause Delfino's delay to camp |
Carlos Delfino's arrival to training camp will be delayed by visa issues. |
Delfino is expected to join camp "a day or two" late, so we're not pegging this as a big deal for the free-agent acquisition. Delfino will compete for minutes at SF with Chandler Parsons, but he should also see some time at SG as well. |

Mon Aug 20 2012 | 15:21 | Rockets officially sign Carlos Delfino Monday |
Rockets sign G/F Carlos Delfino. |
Delfino missed 12 games last season and 33 games in the 2010-2011 season due to injuries. His range as a shooter makes sense on paper for the Rockets, but he will still need to have a good camp to be an impact player. We'll be keeping an eye on him as a player that can help in the three-point made category. |

Wed Aug 15 2012 | 16:07 | Carlos Delfino deal for two years, $6 million |
The Rockets' deal with Carlos Delfino is for $3 million in the first year and a team option second year for an additional $3 million. |
Delfino has had problems staying healthy with concussion issues and, more recently, with a groin injury, but has a versatile game and could contribute in multiple categories if he were to carve out playing time in Houston. As it stands now, Delfino will have to work his way into that role, but he is someone to keep an eye on in training camp and early in the season. |

Mon Aug 13 2012 | 20:36 | Delfino and Rockets agree to terms |
Carlos Delfino and the Houston Rockets agreed to terms on Monday night, Jonathan Feigen reports. |
There have been reports of the Rockets going after Delfino for a while and they reportedly signed him to a one-year deal with a team option on the second year. The Argentine had an up-and-down campaign in 2012 for the Bucks. The highs included 2.1 treys per game in February and the lows had him at just 22.7 minutes per game and 6.4 points per game in April. The Rockets could certainly use his range and he will compete with Chandler Parsons at small forward. He's got some work to do to become someone worth drafting in standard 12-team leagues. |

Thu Aug 9 2012 | 19:04 | Carlos Delfino to sign in NBA after Olympics |
Carlos Delfino said on Wednesday that he will sign with an NBA team once the Olympics conclude, and the Rockets are reportedly still "actively pursuing" him. |
We reported two weeks ago that the Rockets were the only team with a standing offer for Delfino (a two-year deal, with the second year unguaranteed), but at the time he didn't seem satisfied with the salary and/or length of the deal. The Celtics would love to sign him but don't have enough cap space, and we haven't heard anything recently about the Suns or Pacers, both of whom previously expressed interest. |

Thu Aug 9 2012 | 08:41 | Doc Rivers wishes Celtics could sign Delfino |
Celtics coach Doc Rivers had high praise for unrestricted FA Carlos Delfino, admitting that his team has looked into the possibility of signing him. |
"We've looked, and I wish we had the money to add him," Rivers told Ole, an Argentinian website. "We could really use him." The Celtics have a fairly full roster, and with just the veteran's minimum or the biannual exception available, it appears unlikely that Boston will have a space for Delfino. The team had previously expressed interest in the swingman, but that was prior to the addition of Courtney Lee. |
